  • For this year’s mummy themed Halloween, we looked back to ancient Egypt to make our new props and scenes. Here, we begin our journey by making a cardboard frame for our paper mache Sphinx, a crawling mummy made from plastic wrap, bubble wrap, tape and cardboard, and other props. Ceyhun Ozsoy dances the part of Anubis.

Egyptian Poem by T N McCoy
    All dead
    Enter a dark
    Netherworld to receive
    Judgment from Pantheon below.
    Beware!
    For heart
    Of dead: enter
    Hall of Truth for weighing;
    Dog-headed ape Thoth sits atop
    The scale.
Welcome to Fraidy Zone where everyday is Halloween!
Every year, we do our best to imagine and create an entirely different theme for our Halloween home haunt, and this is includes making most of our own props. It's a lot of fun, and often quite a challenge. Fortunately, there's tons of inspiration to be found from so many places, including from the many talented haunters out there. Whenever that is the case, we love to give a shout out to those who have particularly inspired us.
    Thank you for watching!
    Maat
    Also greets you:
    With feather to balance.
Does conscience equal truth and law?
    Pray so.
    Balance!
    Joy of success
Brings smile to soul of dead.
    Life and peace forever-desired
    Result!
