THANK YOU for hyping up the Jackie Aina palette, it's absolutely delightful and very versatile, but I still believe that the product release schedule and unwarranted "controversy" (hard eye roll) hurt the reputation and engagement for it. BUT! If you have the JA ABH palette, you know what the deal is. I've used that palette for date night (casual to sexy), to just going to the store (soft look, nothing major). It's SO well-rounded. I do agree that it should be permanent, because while I am not a big makeup user (thinking of only purchasing Pat McGrath eye palettes because i am in love now), this is the only palette I think I would avidly buy forever. And I constantly get compliments with the variety of looks I do. Anyways, loved the video! Stay safe!
I love how many shimmers she has in it. Your everyday mattes and then you can switch it up with a pop of color. People were hating on it so hard but I know they were just loud and wrong. I love it.
It was kind of the opposite for me. It was kind of disappointing for me to see it in person because I thought it was going to be way more rich and intense than it actually was. I have to say that more than a problem with the palette, I think it's cute and I like the colour story, I think it was a problem with my expectations. Now I realize that this is not different than any other collaboration that fits the complexion of the person that makes it, so it fits Jackie's. I'm not sure how it would work in someone with a darker complexion than hers, though. Maybe that's a story for other collaboration. I would like to see that.
It's crazy because the Carli Bybel palette is on a sale for under $23 at Ulta 😳
I fair olive and the Jackie palette is my all time favorite! Maybe it is a skin undertone thing but you don’t necessarily have to be a deep tone to pull it off
Haghenveien I’m like two shades darker than Jackie and it works really well for me. So it works on darker people.
ABH did Jackie Aina dirty, her palette deserved so much more room to shine!
Chelsea Slytherink ABH lost my love this past year. Jackie’s was the last one I bought and before that I was starting to skip out on purchasing their palletes more and more. .

Mercari has some sometimes but prices really vary. I think mine was 30$ new but some people are posting it for 85$ 😑🙄 so idk, but it’s worth a look.
I keep looking for one too but I’m so worried about ending up with a counterfeit one. I have seen fake ones that look so close to the real one its hard to know what ones are really authentic.
I discovered ABH right at the tail end of them selling this palette. Caught it in stock at Sephora a couple times and would quickly check out only to be told my order didn’t go through because it went out of stock. 😢

Jackie Aina and Norvina are perfection. Soft Glam is up there too. Everything else can be skipped.

The Mario palette reminds me a lot of Born to Run by Urban Decay. The shimmers in the UD palette are also muted and less intense.

Subculture speaks to my soul I love the grungy look and the olive greens however my eyes burned as well, as for the Jackie Aina Palette its my number one palette hands down

100% agree about the JA pallet. She did a fantastic job, and it didn’t get the coverage it deserved because of all the other releases that came out around that time. We need to rally and demand that ABH make it a permanent item in their collection. IT’S. THAT. GOOD! p.s. love your videos, you inspire me so much! I totally agree with what u said about the carli bybel palette!! It screams her aesthetic, I have one of her super old palette collabs with BH cosmetics and it looks like this palette just more neutral
Jackie Aina's palette is the first ABH palette/product I've tried, and every shade is workable, high quality, on and on. This was a great review making me look at a couple of the other classics (Subculture, Soft Glam, Modern Renaissance) if the shadows perform as well as Jackie's do.
Well I am way behind the game. I only have one ABH palette -the Soft Glam. I wasn’t sure how I would like it because I had never worn colors like it before (I am old lol) but the first look I did with the mauve shade in the crease accented by orange soda at the top edge/cypress umber in the outer corners and the medium gold shimmer in the inner corner -I was totally blown away-not just by how beautiful it turned out but how easily the shadows applied and how great her shimmers are. I am so so picky about my shimmers and these are truly stunning. What I don’t understand about the palette is why she didn’t make one of the golds a beautiful light champagne shimmer. If she had I would really really love it even more. Why do we need THREE gold metallics in one palette? Anyway I still love it !!! Watching you wax obsessive over these palettes was so enjoyable Mel. You are so cute. I’m glad I found your channel.
OMG yes! Master palette by mario is the one palette that got me into make up. Four years and ++50 palettes later and it is still my baby

I have Jackie Aina, Modern Renaissance and Norvina. I love them all, but JA is by far my favorite. And not just out of my ABH palettes, but out of all of my palettes. I love it so, so much. Jackie did an amazing job curating it. I'm the whitest person on the planet so I use my bronzer as a transition shade a lot of the time, but other than that, it's just so versatile and easy to work with. It's truly a delight.
I agree ! Subculture is my # 3, soft glam #2, and Jacki Aina #1 ! I never got a chance to buy the Mario palette but it looks beautiful!
Jackie Aina' palette is bomb. I purchased a second one for back up. It is on sale now on the Anastasia website. I hit pan in a few shades already.

Finally broke down and got the Jacki Aina and I LOVE IT😍😘 Still yet to get s.g but something about every look I see with it is just STUNNING 😱 👌🏽. So someday I will get it 🤷🏽♀️. My favorite is Jacki Aina and my least favorite is Modern Renaissance 😬. For the same reason as you! I wanted it so badly I could taste it! And now that I own it I have to remind myself that I have it😒. I just thought that the colors were gonna be pow in your face 🤔🤨 and found that they're rather subdued IMHO 🙋🏽♀️. I picked up my first ABH palettes just before Christmas during the sales. I got Norvina and Jackie Aina and I love them both. I also got the Carli Bybel (on sale) this week and it's gorgeous as well. ❤❤❤

I looooove my Subculture palette! It was my first ABH palette and my first high end palette and it was perfect, I had no issues. I have a serious soft spot for it and will rebuy it over and over!
My all time fave is subculture, than 2nd is AE. I missed the Mario palette, but definitely should come back as permanente and the JA palette too.
I’ve given some thought as to why I appreciate your videos so much and... it’s eyeshape. Ppl underestimate how much ones eyeshadow will dictate their eyeshadow preferences. Like you, I veer neutral and somewhat Smokey because I have huge eyes that are slightly protruding. My lids are so big that Jackie Aina stylings would overpower my face. Rock on
I love the Jackie Aina palette sooo much and I have the Master Mario palette I think I’ve used it once. I need to revisit my old palettes, thank you for this video!
The Mario palette is the EASIEST palette I have ever owned. I also love it and I could never let it go. You can literally take one colour, put it all over your lid, blend into the crease and you look amazing. It's SO GOOD!

I got the reformulated version of the subculture palette at TJ Maxx for $14.99. I believe it's now the Anastasia formula, from the other palettes, I love and it's hands down one of my favorites out of all my Anastasia palettes.
Such a fun video! I only own 2 ABH. Soft Glam & Jackie Aina. And I love them both. 😍 I know that ranking is stressful for u. So could do a video showing what palettes u have in the baskets behind u? No ranking. Just why u like them and why it’s meh. Love you girl!😊❤️💄
The Jackie palette is not just my number 1 ABH palette but my favorite of all my palettes. I would say I’m maybe mid-level as far as makeup ability goes, but when I use her palette I get an amazing look every time. It’s the easiest palette I own in terms of coming up with a great look without having to know 1,000 techniques and having professional blending skills
Mel! I completely agree with your number one pics!! I’m just so sad I didn’t get a chance to get the Mario palette! It looks perfect. I ended up purchasing 2 of Jackie’s palettes just in case!
If Subculture were easier to use I would've bought it, I love the colour story. I do think 6 months is short for palettes? Usually pressed powders are fine to keep for awhile.
I agree. Love those colors but no way I would use it enough to justify buying every 6 months.
@Ruby Star - I have multiple special edition UD Palettes that still perform perfectly -Anything in the big bulky packaging _ Alice under the Looking Glass, Full Spectrum, Brand new back up of the Gwen Stefani, and an opened one, and a few others. No eye irritation, no pigment loss, just like they were brand new. All of the Naked Palettes, 1, 2, 3, Smokey (I love that one) Heat, Cherry (not my fav) but has its place. Born on the run have a backup. My ABH palettes held up well also. I keep them away from heat and humidity and out of the bathroom, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I agree six months is short, I think I just saw - yes I did a new TF product in a pot for the eyes with six-month shelf life and for the price as pretty as it was, is a hard pass. Mel just reviewed it this month I think along with the new quads?

I almost didn’t get the Mario palette either. Seemed kind of basic to me. But let me tell YOU! When I got it. I fell in absolute LOVE. This was the first palette I gifted to a friend it was so good. I only use it on special occasions now. If it ever comes back I will buy it again.

This would be challenging for me too! I don't have all the ABH palettes, but my top three would be Sultry, Subculture, and Carli Bybel. I have others, but these are my favorites in terms of color selections and finishes. I wish I had gotten to try the Mario palette - that color scheme is totally my jam. I don't even know how I missed it! :(

I love the ABH Jackie Aina palette as well! I have a lot of ABH palettes and rotate them around. Got my friend Sultry for a present and wished I had picked it up for myself as well.
JA and the Mario are my top favorites too! Initially I did not think that I would like the Mario palette but gotten it anyway and now I’ve hit pan on at least three of the shadows within it. The shades within the Mario palette are smooth even the shimmers in which I can create a nice smoky eye yet work appropriate. The JA just goes without saying, it is an amazing palette, period! I wish that they would just make both of these palettes permanent. ❤️
My favorite is Sultry. I have been doing more colorful looks since we’ve been in lockdown so I think I may need to purchase the Jackie Aina Palette. Keep the videos coming. Yesterday I just cried for all fellow nurses and such loss. I need the distraction. Thank you.

I love the Sultry palette but the glitter goes all over my face! I've tried glitter glue, putting foundation on last, and it doesn't matter. I guess I have a lot of time on my hands to keep experimenting!
