They mainly ride on non busy streets and they are very popular. Now, thinking like you do, you can get hit by just walking down the street any given day. Stay home I guess.

Are the peddlers in sole control? Does the driver have to holler out "Stop" or "Slow down" to the peddlers?
Driver has control of the wheel and brakes.
