In all honesty, the fact that Emily was mad at Rachel and not purely at Ross just goes to show that a lot of people would forgive their partners of anything and just hate on the person who so say "sabotaged" the relationship.

Ross's message sounds like he's going through a really tough time and possibly depression. A bit mean to just laugh at his message.

To be fair, they weren’t in on the context, to them it was the most random thing somebody could do, if it were me, I’d definitely find it funny IN THE MOMENT, and then start asking questions
Generally, Ross's knowledge, stories, feelings and being a father is not recognized or appreciated by his friends, wives and ex-wives. They made fun of him for being sensitive and nerdy. In my opinion, Ross is a great guy who unfortunately is not wise at making decisions on what kind of women he should be with.
Ross's message to himself is actually sad. Can't believe Monica and Rachel made fun of that .

@@michaelheppe218 I’m not a fan of Ross myself, but I personally don’t want everything bad happening to him 24/7, when something does happen, I like the feeling of “I told you so” come over me because more often then not, the bad things are consequences of his actions and wouldn’t have happened if he used his head to think before acting

He’s gonna move away so Ross being Monica’s brother doesn’t push Rachel away but Ross himself. She’s making him isolated from everybody. However, watching episodes through the series, if you sit down with Rachel and talk about it seriously, she eventually understands. Rachel was a bitch wanting Ross every time he gets into any relationship tho but that’s two different situations

I grew up watching the DVDs of Friends and have noticed that on the Blu-Rays as well as HBO Max, they edit it down and take out some hilarious scenes that I enjoyed on the DVD's. For example in this scene, after Rachel deletes the message, she tries to recreate the message in a British accent saying, "Hello, Ross. This is Rachel...EMILY! My God, what is it with those two names?!" They should've kept that line in. :(
Yes! Unfortunately, when they remastered and adapted the entire series from the original films to 1080p video, they did stick to the syndicated (reduced) version. And the remastered version is the one we see in all Full HD streaming services today.

They didn't take anything out or edited down. The Blu-ray and streaming versions are the ORIGINAL version, exactly how it was originally first aired on TV. What's on the DVD are added EXTRAS, they added more stuff specifically for the DVD. When people say edited down and take out, that means they cut some scenes out from the original which is not the case here.
@@IndigoIndustrial It's not at all like George Lucas. In the case of Star Wars, Lucas refused to release the theatrical versions of the original trilogy. That's not the case with Friends because what we get on Blu-ray and streaming is the original broadcast version. It's the equivalent to the theatrical release. What you have on DVD is an extended version, not the original version. Star Wars fans want the original version whilst Friends fans want the extended version.

So she heard the message, invited Monica to listen too, and then purposefully deleted it with Monica there when if she really wanted to delete it, she would have done it when no one was around. That would make more sense. I don't think she deleted the message on purpose. It was an accident.
She didn't do it on purpose but it was so interesting how she always managed to be a klutz when it suited her and/or inconvenienced the others.

Ross would have said Rachel's name whether she was there or not because he was still in love with her. He knew the moment she turned down the wedding invite that she was still in love with him. Otherwise there would be no reason not to attend your best friend's wedding. Monica also knew this which is why she tried to encourage Rachel to say yes to the invite.
I never understood why Emily was portrayed bad? In my opinion, she was completely reasonable. More than reasonable since she was ready to leave London and settle in New York
because the actress,Helen Baxendale got pregnant in real Life, and she left the show.
That explains why she was written off the show, not why she was portrayed as a bad person.
I think Ross leaving himself a message is a great method of loving oneself.. leave yourself messages like that to remind yourself life is not all that bad and that you are GROWING through something, not just going through it 🥰

The difference is that Rachel deleted it by accident, felt terrible about it, and then literally waited for Ross to get home to tell him that Emily left a message. I mean she is right to some degree, but that is also one of his best friends. Plus him not seeing her kind of ruins the whole group of friends. So, ross and emily could have come to some kind of compromise. Unfortunately, emily became crazy about it and didn't trust ross, so it was never gonna work out if she did not learn to trust him.
I do not blame Emily at all in this whole Ross and Rachel complication. That's the only thing she could've done while living in a different continent, knowing Ross is constantly in touch with his ex who's name he took at his and Emily's wedding. She was right to doubt him and not to trust him. But there wasn't much she could've done here, living far apart. The best thing is to not see him again ever but we humans often act desperate.

No it's not wrong but she wanted him to move away from his kid, job, and his friends, she called him every minute, actually to be honest their marriage wouldn't last because they didn't know each other so good "2 month not enough at all"
