Something I wasn’t aware for a while when watching gameplay that should be mentioned is that the death mark drone cannot be interacted with at all physically.
I think IQ will be viable with deimos If she pings a defenders utility, they get discovered and she can see deimos' counters like vigil and mute jammers

i really like him hes got pretty eh primaries but a super powerful secondary which is basically a close range dmr while having a very strong ablity that rewards good map knowledge and callouts

i’m coming back to siege after not playing for a while and i see that the early access for deimos is almost a month and i was baffled honestly i don’t know when it changed but i was just so used to the 7 days
you forgot that the attackers seeing deimos's ping is delayed, while deimos gets constant pinging of the enemy. Also, standing on things like turbarao ice canisters will stop the tracking from happening to you

Deimos is good if A) You play in a 5-stack and can communicate locations or B) You're an absolute gunner with that pistol. Anything less and he becomes B-tier.

Finally someone that stops the play pretending that Deimos is not broken. To add to all that you said his revolver is absurdly broken, I don't even know how it passed the test phase since it has 0 recoil and kills with 2 body shots. Ubisoft philosophy has been to bring recoil to the moon on strong weapons but a 2 shot weapon with the cleanest sight is fine? There's barely any reason to even try to headshot since with 3 quick shots on average you'll kill anyone. Even in a 1v2 situation it's not such an unfavorable matchup. You can also flush out defenders from strong positions with his Frag Grenades once you track them. Some people pretend he's not as good cuz the defenders are at an advantage in a 1v1 scenario but that couldn't be further from the truth. That only applies if you don't know their position in real time. Otherwise wall hacks wouldn't be as strong. To balance the 1v1 in your favor even more you have a gun with even less recoil than the defenders. The issue is that people think anyone who isn't a solo queue operator is bad when Siege is a team game. He is in fact the most broken attacker since og Lion and I expect him to be the most banned attacker until Ubisoft inevitably nerfs him. As always Failbisoft keeps releasing broken operators just to sell them and then nerf them later on (Sens or Grim aside XD). One correction: you see them in real time when using his ability, they don't. They get a delayed ping like Jackal. This makes him even more broken even in a 1v1.
He's not. Jackal is better. His pings are seen by the entire team. He's not revealed himself. Literally the only thing that Deimos does better is the real time track however that only benefits Deimos himself. So he's a less team oriented roam clearer than jackal. If you wanna 1v1 and run around and kill shit then deimos is better. But as you say, Siege is a team game. Jackal is better

Deimos is a team operator, as long as you call out the enemy's position it doesn't matter if only you can see his position. Plus, Jackal has to: enter the area where an operator has been, expose himself, track the footsteps which depending on how recent they are will determine how long that ping will last and the ping is not in real time (which I feel like people severely downplay this). Deimos only needs someone to have scanned the OP you want to track in the prep phase, press a button and that's it. If you try to use Jackal on an open area like Bank Lobby you risk yourself getting shot cuz there's no footsteps but the defenders are on the upper floor. Also, most of the time the defenders are gonna have an idea of where you are if they have some game sense. Ofc if the enemy has no idea where you or your team are you don't want to use your ability but that's common sense. If they do however the delayed ping barely gives them any extra info. Jackal is by no means a bad or average operator and has been S tier so far. But Deimos is so ridiculously broken that it makes Jackal seem average. He has more versatility than him.
I haven't been playing this game for like 2 years , but these new characters are just to much to handle , I think they will just keep adding characters till the game dies that's why I kinda stopped playing this game cuz I got board with meta researching , liked the old days kinda more casual oriented

Maybe I'm crazy but smoke grenades seem like they could be very useful with his ability. If the pings on him are delayed, then throwing a smoke in front of a player he has pinged can give him an advantage as far as closing space on that target to be able to kill them through the smoke. EDIT: I was just in game now, he apparently doesn't have smokes, but the point still stands for pairing him with those who do.
