- Today I will mow my 100% Kentucky bluegrass fall lawn renovation at .50 in with my toro greensmaster 1000. The toro greensmaster is an awesome reel mower and delivers a much cleaner cut then a california trimmer or allett reel mower.

Hi George, I just recently bought a Jacobsen 526a and I need to get the blade sharpened. I live in Plainfield IL so I’m not to far away. I am curious where you get your blades sharpened and how much it usually costs. I was quoted from an authorized Jacobsen dealer in Joliet for $400 but was looking for cheaper alternatives

Hey George. Just picked up a Greensmaster 1000 - and I think it is the same model year range as the one you have as the Air Filter and controls that raise and lower the height of cut are the exact same and the engine is also the same.
So Picked it up and got it home. It had been in storage for years at least 10 from the guy I bought it from.
So It got a good cleaning and fluids replaces and all the grease fittings greased and the Reel backlapped although to be honest it was not too bad to begin with.
Everything looked good and it started right up as everyone says they do on the first pool. Put it in gear and... BAAM - off it went as the speed control was stuck wide open on the fastest speed so it was about a 50Ft 2 sec cut. So back to the garage to un-bind the throttle and now it is pretty good.
Seems like most the manuals out there have the newer version with a different setup on engines, air filters and throttle mechanisms.
One thing I am on the look out for are new Toro decals as most are either gone or at least 1/2 gone.
That mower only ways 220 pounds....smh even less without the transport tires and kickstand
Only now been able to catch up on some videos, man the yard looks hood and stunning B Roll, that’s what I told to my wife yesterday after I published my video ... I have to spend bit more time on filming scenes on different angles to get a really nice video out, lately all had been on a rush! 🔥🔥🔥

Grass is coming along good my man. OMGSH I would love to reel mow it looks so satisfying to mow low. Now if only I could find a decent priced reel mower I’d just head first lol.

@@mauromarcillo7966 Thank you for your Service 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 I havent had any issues with the deflector BUT the agitator SUCKS, if you plan on getting a lesco, you must upgrade to the "breakthrough agitator" i will be selling my spreader soon as it is WAY to big for my property. I end up throwing fert on the street and my neighbors lawn lol. If you have a big piece of land I highly recommend it (w/ the breakthrough agitator) as for me, i will be downsizing to an earthwise or yardstar.
@@PrincessCutLawnCare ohh boy 😲. I just picked up a very similar one from Ewing Irrigation. I saw it from Sunny Bermuda. I only have a 3,500sq yard and think I may have bit more then I can chew! I seen yours and thought I should be fine 😂😂

I’m on day 35 DAG I threw some seed down last week. Wasn’t able to water much. But I’m back in it. These cool temps are going to help. I’ve been adding AMS every week last three weeks. @.20 lbs per.
Sweet dude, I’m in the same boat as you.. my watering habits aren’t as good as there were when they were germinating. But like you, I’m gonna get back on my water grind:) thanks for the motivation! I’ve also been spraying fert as well!
