I’m a March girl and my mom gave me an aquamarine ring set in yellow gold. Since she is also a March girl, it’s a ring she was given by her own mom. The ring dates back to the 1950’s and I love it’s vintage look. Thank you for this informative video 👍
Aquamarine is my favorite gemstone & I too, prefer a greenish blue hue often referred to a "Seafoam". As the former owner of a small jewelry company, I searched many years until I could find a beautiful greenish blue untreated stone that was heavily included. The first thing my colleagues said was," why are you wearing that awful stone?" It is a larger stone, & is nevertheless, my favorite.
Another March baby here..... I've always had a fascination with aquamarine, being my birth stone, and given the fact that I love the sea. This past Christmas my aunt bought me a beautiful ring - an aquamarine set in diamonds. I love it, I wear it all the time.
Large portion in the market sell topaz as aquamarine because of the clean states. Meanwhile I prefered my aquamarine with abit cloudy abit greenish with inclusion.
Am I the only one who likes the untreated sea-foam colored stones? The problem I have with blue aquamarine is the similarity in color to topaz. I also think the astounding clarity is shown to best advantage when there is a balance between blue and green. BTW, I loved the video.
Thank you. I also appreciate the natural shades, but they are admittedly hard to find with decent color saturation. In Maine, local Aqua tends to all be natural, at least currently.
Thank you so much. I'm a pisces and I looooove my birthstone. I want to purchase necklace or ring with real aquamarine and now feel better informed. Thanks again. 😊🙏
Came onto this video coz I just started hunting for raw Aquamarine in Rural Africa...needed to learn more...week 1 has been great, just got myself s okome pretty good germs
Such huge crystals of pure beauty come because God loves us all and shares the Harmony of Universe with us))))😂 Thank you for the video 🥰 I adore these crystals ❤ Special thank for the green colour - I have a beautiful ring from my granny, smth like 60 years old, made specially for her in Germany. And the author jeweller told there were aquamarine stones. She wasn't keen on such information and I doubted because of their green colour - just the same you showed in the video!!! You tore my doubts away❤ thank you 😊
Thanks Andrew. The session on Aquamarie was informative and intresting. I like your videos ... they sound easy to understand. I am impressed on 2 of the 5 things. No 1: The crystals are massive! No 2: The imposter ... Blue Topaz.
I'm a March baby and Aquamarine is the first gem stone I bought for myself in a pretty ring. I love the clear fresh blue colour. Thanks for the extra information😊
Good video, thank you 👍 will be back to view more... Aquamarine is so beautiful. Most interesting is the fact aquamarine had less inclusions generally, the Emeralds being highly included was not a surprise as I've seen plenty of Emeralds that wouldn't really win a beauty contest!
I don’t know about others but I like my beryl included. Not heavily. But just enough to make it say I am a beryl, and I have a garden. I love it. Emerald, Aqua, morganite, Bixbite (tho I sadly don’t see that one often), all so beautiful. Clean stones are fine. I get why people like them and pay big money for them. But I am always going to love taking an emerald and looking for three phase inclusions in emerald and Aqua.
So interesting to hear that it comes in greenish blue! I would love that. I have a gorgeous ring inherited from my husband’s mom. The stone is either an aquamarine or a blue topaz, but I don’t know which. Even the jeweler I took it to for cleaning etc. said he couldn’t tell without a specialized instrument.
It's such a beautiful gemstone. I've previously commented about my inherited "synthetic diamond" that I suspect to be a cubic zirconia, but I've also once been given a sizeable aquamarine that I kind of suspect of being coloured glass, so when I take the "diamond" to be checked out next week I'll bring the aquamarine as well. As neither has cost me anything I won't be angry if I'm told they're both worthless - and I might get both set as lapel pins anyway since they're pretty and have stories. But learning more about what they're *supposed* to be has been interesting. And who knows? Maybe not all tall tales are untrue? (Though they most likely are...)
wondering if they can be heat treated after they’re cut and mounted? Have my grandmothers ring and now I understand the difference in color. Hers is definitely not been heat treated.
I see a lot of matte aquamarine slightly transparent sold for relatively cheap. Is it real aquamarine and would it be transparent once polished? Thanks for nice videos!
I got a aquamarine bracelet, it doesn't look like the "typical" clear captivating "high quality" green-blue aquamarine. There are 3 colors in general in my stones, there are greenish stones, blueish stones and almost white ones. Can this still be real natural aquamarine? Or what else could it be.. I'm not talking about quality, just real and natural would be good enough to know. Thx in advance 🙏
I've treasure hunted (quite literally) for over a year to find an untreated aquamarine stone which is certified to be at least VVS quality. I much prefer the greenish bluish color over the lighter, more sky blue topazish version. I wish there were more untreated stones so people can decide for themselves in the end which version they prefer.
Aquamarine is my birthstone, and I MUCH prefer the untreated stones with the green tint in the blue. I find them much more striking and pretty than the heated blue stones that are in vogue now. The untreated blue/green stones are hard to find, though. To me, the heated, all-blue Aquamarine is not as pretty unless you can afford to spend LOTS of money....LOTS of money. In addition, in my opinion, the heated blue Aquamarine can't hold a candle to the Blue Topaz birth stone of December. Now, THAT is a gorgeous blue, and you don't have to spend a fortune to get an amazing, deep color. I wish it was March's stone, I may never find an Aquamarine that I like.
If we are talking about inclusions within aquamarine, I believe you can find quartz inclusions occasionally within aquamarine. They are also minerals that could be found near each other and can grow within what we consider to be a specimen. If we are talking about can quartz be part of aquamarine composition then that is a different question. They are two completely different minerals composed of different elements. Quartz could not be part of the chemical composition of aquamarine. I hope that helps.
Nice presentation! Thankyou for sharing this with us. Is their a place you would go to buy untreated natural aquamarine? I really want a "raw" piece and don't have a clue who I could trust. Thanks in any case;-)~
I would start with a reputable local jeweler that has a selection of colored stones. The best thing to do is ask if they have any or can source some for you. If they have any knowledge on the subject they should ask you more qualifying questions to make sure they understand exactly what you are looking for.
I have a question, I have an Aquamarine Ring, it lights pink with strong UV light, is it genuin? I found here in wiki, "Dark-blue maxixe color can be produced in green, pink or yellow beryl by irradiating it with high-energy particles (gamma rays, neutrons or even X-rays).[19]"
Sailors use to carry Aquamarine with them as they believed it kept them safe. Also Aquanarines are connected to mermaids and also galactic beings and Atlantis. Blessings. 🙏🧜♀️🧜♂️🛸🌠
I hope if you talked about the types and prices and what the different for each type I wish if you do one more so we can have almost full information about it
Thanks for the sub! Growth age can vary greatly, but when lab grown in a more "natural" method I believe they can grow in a few weeks. It really can vary quite a bit depending on the environment and nutrition.
Sooo testing them is the only Way to tell if they are valuable? Some go for like 500 a carat then 20$ a lb? Idk please Tell me a simpler way of telling if I got good quality aquamarine I have raw beads
ok i will share this to FB, you need more views. i love the ugly seafoam green aqua. I saw one as an adolescent in an estate jeweler, it was an inch and a quarter long and about 5/8 or 3/4 wide. He wanted 700 and I could never afford it. Ugly to most, but glows on me. So dont ever ignore the less popular colors, they may be best for you. I am from Oregon and there is lovely, but ignored yellow sunstone. but that is just me!
You’re right. The “lesser” colors definitely deserve some attention. Being the more valuable color doesn’t mean it is everyone’s first choice. Thanks for sharing!
How about Moss Aquamarine? The gemstone is still the same but comes in various shades of yellow, mossy green and deeper blues? What is that about? And Milky Aquamarine is often cloudy BUT some are a medium blue, & I am guessing without heat treatment. Why, how are these two variations so different from the Aquamarine you addressed here?? I enjoy your RUclips gem school. Love geodes.
I’m a March girl and my mom gave me an aquamarine ring set in yellow gold. Since she is also a March girl, it’s a ring she was given by her own mom. The ring dates back to the 1950’s and I love it’s vintage look. Thank you for this informative video 👍

I was surprised to learn that aquamarine comes in such large crystals. Fascinating, and I am one who really likes a bit of green in my aquamarines.
Agree with the preference for some green in aquamarine.
They are very fascinating in real Life
Right now that's the case.
Same Here
Same 😊

Morganite and Emerald are very expensive. Glad Aquamarine is in this family of gems!
I'm a jeweler and gem cutter that specializes in colored stones. Thanks for the great presentation. This has a broad, easy to understand appeal.
We can keep in contact mate...im currently mining Aquamarine in Rural Africa
Thanks for info on Aquamarine.. its March 2021, I'm going to buy a pair of stud earrings with this lovely gemstone and gold.
Im wondering what the price is cuz i want a blue gemstone necklace for Christmas and im wondering the price
Large portion in the market sell topaz as aquamarine because of the clean states.
Meanwhile I prefered my aquamarine with abit cloudy abit greenish with inclusion.
Wow! I've learned more about the actual gemstone here than in most videos! Thanks!
So glad to hear!

Always happy to hear that kind of feedback! Thanks for watching.
I'm a pisces with the amethyst birthstone! I love combining both gems and get quite a lot of compliments when I wear both of the stones together.
@@Alexandra-rb7juthat’s a pretty combination😊

I was born in March and I’m proud to have it as my birth stone
I'm a March baby and Aquamarine is the first gem stone I bought for myself in a pretty ring. I love the clear fresh blue colour. Thanks for the extra information😊
Very educational and interesting. I love knowing more about all kinds of gemstones!
SO glad.
Hi: can you repair a chip/crack in aquamarine stone or do you have to replace it? If so, how does one go about repair/replacement? Thank you.

Good to know re: presence of green as being possible not heat treated. Thanks.
Love the Beryl family! Thank you! Feel free to talk about Morganite!
Thanks for sharing your ideas about my birthstone. Very distinct and clear explanation... Perfect, excellent, very good... GOD bless you always...
Glad it was helpful!
I always watch your latest vlogs. I love my aquamarine especially I am a geminian.
Loved this video! Just bought an aquamarine ring yesterday and it was neat to learn about it. New subscriber!

ive thrifted a beautiful light blue gemstone, how would i known if it is glass or a gemstone just but looking at it? thank you.
The only way to find out is to test in a lab. Here's what a certified, top quality Aquamarine looks like ruclips.net/user/shorts5Ea_Q9YXZp0
How come when I go to Crystal shops they have aquamarine that looks almost whitish blue?
Thanks for sharing this video... Very informative...
My pleasure
I was born in March, and i have an Aquamarine 💎

Good choice! It has a lot going for it.

Contact Brian Busse Gemtracker on Facebook he doesn’t treat any of his stones, they all come from mt Antero, in Colorado
I'm currently in rural Africa hunting for raw Aquamarine...boy I'm lucky in just my 1st week I've stumbled upon some good germs
I know this is an older video, but YO. I gotta know where you got that shirt! It's so vibrantly blue
I was wondering why you didn't show pictures of the different colors( sources) that Aqua's come in!
So informative.
God bless you bro i wish i could join you and learn under your umbrella.
Glad to hear it has been helpful!
I saw people selling devil aquamarine. Is that really a natural variation of aquamarine?
Aquamarine and Blue Aquamarine are the same? The birth month is March? I didnt know theres a treatment for the gemstone?

my daughter birthstone and she love that color sky blue
Can a ruff untreated pierce of aquamarine have have Quartz in it

Okay we get the color …. Let’s get to it
Great video!, when you mentioned created color is that a natural gemstone with an altered color?
Sometimes gem quality aquamarine is heat treated to remove any green colour which enhances the desirable blue colour
Can You Come India I can take you to where the mines are and buy them for you cheap in our Town Aquamarine Mines there
hence aqua marine gemstone can be found in sea?
Also, what is Milky Aquamarine??
Likely a reference to Translucent vs. transparent.
I LOVE GEM STONES.
Me too 🎉
Please make a video on Andra crystals as well some days 🙏

Hello i have this aquamarine how i can sell it and whom may need to buy
Can it be charged in water or sun?
I have a question, I have an Aquamarine Ring, it lights pink with strong UV light, is it genuin?
I found here in wiki,
"Dark-blue maxixe color can be produced in green, pink or yellow beryl by irradiating it with high-energy particles (gamma rays, neutrons or even X-rays).[19]"
Its probably a treated aquamarine. The natural ones don't radiate those colors. Here's a great, top natural piece ruclips.net/user/shorts5Ea_Q9YXZp0
I had no idea this was a gemstone 💞💕
Very interesting
I think so too!
