    I like how you hold it toward the camera for close ups after you were just working on it out of camera view. Excellent!!

    I originally bought the impact with the friction ring but exchanged it later that day for the pin, as all my other ratchets and such have always had the pin. Well the stupid pin on this thing will NOT release a socket for nothing. I have to carry around a small screwdriver or something to push the pin down and swap sockets. Super annoying! I ended up putting a small extension on permanently but looking to swap for the friction ring.

      @stealthflythecoop6819  4 года назад

      I know what you mean I had the same issue. I'm hoping Milwaukee fixes the the PIN detent and put a ball like all the other impacts with pin detent. but I think Milwaukee was thinking about working in high places because what the PIN detent you will never drop the socket. the friction ring is more for automotive purposes or general use changing sockets quickly.

    I found it much easier to buy the kit with the pin detent... Then buy the friction ring gun ( tool only) .... Put the pin detent tool into the other package..... Then return the pin detent tool inside the friction ring box and bing bango

    Doesn’t the pin detent model also have lower power than the friction ring?

    • @stealthflythecoop6819
      @stealthflythecoop6819  5 лет назад

      No both models are rated at the same power the only difference I see in the owner's manual is that the RPM is a lot higher on the pin detent model then on the friction ring model but only at a certain setting I believe it was only number one setting.

    • @stealthflythecoop6819
      @stealthflythecoop6819  6 лет назад +1

      Wynston Moses no real difference besides the obvious. Milwaukee made the pin detent for technicians working at higher altitude so the socket won't fall off, but you would need to push the pin detent in to remove the socket. If Milwaukee swap the pin detent from the 1/2 Ryobi I would never switch to friction ring 😂

      @@jaemarple608 unfortunately I've done some research on converting a 3/8 to 1/2 inch mid torque and I could tell you right now that it is possible but you're going to be spending twice as much just to do the conversion you might just want to just buy a 1/2 mid torque instead. I have a video that I was going to post but I don't know if it's relevant to some people it might just be relevant to you so if you're interested I will post it to see how I came to this conclusion, but it'll just be a lot of money. Just let me know I'll post it if you need it. also I wanted to add that I did my research as part numbers only and if they fit together properly. But I would highly recommend that someone takes it apart measures it or buys an anvil from a 3/8 or a half inch and just swap it and seeing if it works.

    • @stealthflythecoop6819
