Hi! I just started playing a couple of days ago and I always loved the support classes for high end content on mmo Im torn between Dragonknight and Templar and wanted to ask if I can use this on the most hardcore dungeons of the game or I will be kicked of the party for having a Hibrid build xD
You're killing it with this videos! Have you considered written versions? Even just a simple "what you need" would be awesome or some time stamps for Armor/Jewelry/Weapons etc. Nice job man! Earning those subs!
I just solod my first dungeon without dying with you solo warden build and I still dont even have frozen watcher lol. Slow damage (watcher set adds so much). The only hard thing about these builds is some of the pieces are hard to get by yourself. I've been filling the tank role with you warden with friends to help them and in return get some of the gear needed. Thank you!
Great vid Hack. Very, very close to what I've been wanting to do with my Templar. I want to run S&B front and 2H back. Gave me some ideas to work through, so I appreciate that.
Ty so much for this build I love the S&B idea I play mostly as a tank so I can use it. Have always wanted to play and do real Damage with S&B. Also never really liked Templar’s gonna level this right now.
I love these Hybrid builds. For as long as ive played on and off everyone telling me "Hybrid builds are not viable in damage etc". I'm tired of going 'mainstream' and i'm not interested in meta or BIS.. i play to have fun with friends, (even if all i played with have quit) and thats more fun for me, presenting them with different hybrid builds from your recommendations. Thank you HtM. ❤
This build got me hooked immediately especially since 99% of stam builds feel almost the same. I love it so far! As a rather new player, however, the Pelinal Set is almost unattainable. Is there any other set to recommend until I have enough traits which will likely take me a couple months?
I’m still pretty new. Been playing a month now and almost 50 following this build and have everything set minus the gear. Is this build more of a tank than dps? I see some dps dropping mobs in 1-3 hits where with me it takes quite awhile just spamming sweeps until I can execute. Maybe I’m still weak because I don’t have the gear mentioned here?
Im a new player but i assume if you want to play it group play you need to switch pierce armor with something else because pierce armor is a taunt and it can annoy your tank, unless you're the tank, of course. I may be wrong tho.
I tried to do something similar to this build on my orc templar at game launch, except I used heavy armor. It was a lot of fun for solo questing, etc. and was very tanky of course, but took forever to kill things. I eventually switched it to a blazing shield tank build (which was great) before that got nerfed. That poor orc has been through about 5 or 6 complete re-builds since then and now I primarily use him just for blacksmithing. I don't know if I'll ever be able to build him in a way that I originally envisioned. There's just something wrong about using a sword and shield with cloth armor...call me a traditionalist.
My only request is can you give a rotation or something like it to help better understand how to use build. Thanks. Man look foward to the other 3 you are working on. Hybrid is my preferred playstyle. Also would Moon or dragonguard work as well instead of rattlecage?
Hey, thank you for making these build videos, they made the game a lot more enjoyable for me! I just wanted to ask if you could tell me some alternatives to the pelinal set. I'm still pretty new to this game so getting 9 traits or spending a lot of money on getting it is something I can't be able to do at the moment.
I remember making something similar to this YEARS ago in base with an imperial - was mainly a tank/support character. Makes me want to re-look at it now that my friends are looking into getting into the game. I've been curious on where the investment of health is okay. I know it was almost the only choice in base, and then they've re-worked a lot and now whatever your damage stat was you max out. If we are looking at solo play and accepting that we aren't maximized for damage, why not put points in health?
Can't answer the question directly, but I did use the Nova shield build. It's so stinking strong. I'm a crappy player but it has made playing very unchallanging . Only die from heights and insta-kill mechanics. This s&b build seems like it would be more tricky to play, more challenging
What would you suggest for a straight hack n slash balls out tank? PVE, runnin around doin quest and is like, AAAGH F U bam bam next FU bam bam ect. A Leroy Jenkins
I am considering changing my Imperial Templar tank into a hybrid. What are your thoughts on using a all heavy armor setup with 5pcs Black Rose PvP set, 5pcs Shacklebraker, 1pc Balorgh and 1pc Domihaus? I could the Thief mundus to keep my critical decent since none of these sets raises critical.
I love this build, but I have a couple of questions: - If we're running Breton, do we need to make any adjustments? Food, CP, Attributes or anything like that? - If we want to run staff, should the backbar just be the Destro Ult and which version of staff? And would we need to make any adjustments to that also? Thanks!
Lanedude Breton has better sustain so it will just be less demanding to play. You might also have better luck running a staff on Breton because of the reduced cost on wall of elements. I found it to be too costly on my high elf which is why I used Bow instead. I would probably use lightning staff because it will buff your AOEs while on that backbar, plus the destro ult lasts longer with lightning I believe.
Dang it, worse conflicting interests than before. I was thinking of running new moon acolyte with dragon guard, and slimecraw set, 5 medium, two light, two hand, and staff. Breton for the magicka sustain to counter the 5 piece medium. Low health I have the benefits of the dragon guard and was thinking of running the lady mundus stone to help with the resistances. But after your video I don't know.
I got tired of all my two hander builds too.....started a vampire nigntblade sword and board build and then was wanting a paladin sword and board templar build
Hi, You did very nice job with yours builds. But i desperate need some compact output from your build. Create characters and rewind video again and again isn't much fun work :((( Export in some game addon like SuperStar is the best idea - this can be valuable gift for donator :)
I think you would be fine starting out with it just don't expect it to be as strong as other builds starting out Technically you do start as a hybrid as you can't morph your skills right away no matter what
A few years ago I had an argonian Templar hybrid tank/healer for pubs because dmg players just keep queuing as healers and tanks suck. Light armor build and max resistances. I just started playing again and with all changes I have to rework it.
I've started playing this build and love it. I know it's designed for solo, but I am doing dungeons as a tank. the other day the guy on the mic said to his buddy in our dungeon, we don't have a real tank in this run. i thought i was doing well in the non-vet dungeons(that's all i have due to my level) not dying and holding control of the boss in the fights. Do you use this in group runs, if so what role do you mainly play? thank you for the video and any advice!
I feel the major buffs lack so much, I'm still working on Dreugh slayer in desperation for my bow/bow Necro project, because having to use potions for both buffs really wrecks potion diversity, not to mention putting a price per minute on playing your build even in solo.
danny roberts yep there is some fun utility here like power of the light for tanking. The sets are a bit selfish - ie they only buff you not the group - so you might consider more group friendly sets. But this would be strong for PUGs
Hi Hack. Loving your solo builds! Am starting a templar today , as im switching between mag and stam alot and pve and pvp with the same character do you think this can work with a nord
Lizbel Berregaard for the most part any pure magicka or stamina build will do more damage than a hybrid. So Nova will do a bit more damage due to bigger magicka pool and better CP scaling
I'm running a hybrid nightblade in PVP, and have been fairly successful. It catches them off guard when you debuff them, zap them with a ranged staff attack, and then charge in with a weapon combo. Most tend to panic when you have such a wide range of attack options.
Great vid man. You said your brightness slider is 8 clicks to max? My game still looks washed out. Is this game kinda crushed in blacks now and Im just too picky or is this game supposed to look way better than what Im seeing? Unfortunately I first played eso on release on my Samsung 55 or 60 inch ( incredibly nice tv ) so maybe my overall impression and standard is based on that nice tv. Ex kicked that tv screen in so I dont have that tv anymore. I have a much smaller samsung 1080p on xbox one s. Can you help? Like if the brightness slider is set at a spot some places look good then I go into elsweyr and its washed out and I have to lower the slider. Back in the day you never had to move the slider when you traveled. Can you help to find a " happy medium"?
Or mother sorrow + spell strat for non pet, also for monster set iceheart, slimecraw, 1 of each for 2 lines of crit or maw of infernal for roleplay lmao
Recently got into ESO and one of my friends is a tank and uses pierce armor to taunt the enemies so it's counterintuitive if I have it slotted too. Anyone got any other ideas for that slot?
If your friend is tank, then put a damage ability instead of the piercing armour, because you just dont need this. Maybe some aoe from aedric spear or dawn wrath lines, or maybe a big heal for you and your friend in emergency cituations
I will suggest blazing spear from aedric spear because of Nice aoe damage and your friend can take synergy to restore his resources, but I am not an expert, so keep this in mind :D
Argonian is good for sustain as long as you keep potions in your rotation, because with passive you will gane additional resources back, so I think it will work fine, so dont worry about it :D
I hate to ask this here. But anyone have a guild on ps4 they wouldnt mind me joining and helping me get started? A little difficult to get my foot in the door by myself.

Definitely my favorite you have done so I need to farm shackle breakers
Its a crafted set. Believe 6 traits.

Would this spec work on an imperial instead? Would be quite nice.
