To think in high school when I first heard Section.80 that the industry was just gonna give him the Lupe treatment as an uncredited master of the craft who won't be celebrated....he literally kicked the doors down to make them pay attention to him, and he keeps doing it. No matter how much the Drake influence made him out to be some type of "lil bro" when it comes to fame & relevancy, or some hermit who hides in his craft & scared to come outside, Kendrick was always on some Tortoise vs Hare type ish & tasted victory on his own timing. Then I decided to go through his whole discography leading to my whole year being unforgettable, then I mysteriously bumped into the Control verse which showed me another side of Kendrick that left me speechless. All I can say is his music never disappointed me (especially earlier in his career [O.D, Y.H.N.I.C, The Kendrick Lamar LP, Section .80, etc])
