I always wanted Serena to win Dubai 2009 & 2014 were missed opportunities and Eastbourne was a tournament I wanted her to win so badly and Linz.

No one cares about mixed doubles. The only time people barely cared about doubles is when they reached the finals of Slams/Olympics & won.

It always amazed me how Serena almost never played Eastbourne or any other grass court tournaments leading up to Wimbledon…. Yet she won Wimby so many times.
she apparently would go back home and train on hard courts to prepare for wimbledon, surprisingly.
Alize Cornet gave Serena a lot of trouble in 2014. I don't know exactly what it is about her game that troubled her so much that year.
I honestly believe women with good forehands tend to give Serena some trouble in matches
Players who could mix up their shots would give Serena trouble if she's having an off day.

2014 was a bad year in general for Serena or are we forgetting she didn't make it pass the 4th round of a slam until the US open of that year. Serena had a lot of niggling injuries that year as well.
I wish people would stop with this narrative. If that was the case all her h2h against Vinci, Schiavone, Stosur, Molik, Mauresmo, Radwanska, Strycova would be the other way around. @@ewest8638

@@KLNII_ Don't waste your time on these Steffi fanatics. They seem to know more about Serena than us. Am impressed with how good they are with mathematics. They keep coming up with so many calculations, but nothing is going to change the fact that 23 is greater than 22. Serena is always going to be the woman with the most slams in singles in the open era. I understand their frustration because I felt same when Djokovic and Nadal surpassed Federer.
