- In this video, I show how I made my worm farm from an old bath tub, a gate hinge and a bit of tin.
Day after day, year after year, it will produce microbe rich, nutrient rich fertilizer for my garden.

You're a true artist mate, that ending hit deep in my soul!
When you said you’re actually a photographer at the end that made so much sense.
that last part gave me chills. the good kind .
If I could use only one word to describe the feelings I get when watching and listening it would be the word "FREEDOM" God bless from the US.
If only people would try there hand at planting a food garden. If you new at it there is so much good information like yours to start them off.Dont just entertain yourself with the videos do it you will never regret it.And your family will always have food on the table.Thankyou for the inspiration. Love from South Africa.
You give off such a nice vibe, seems like it'd be amazing to sit down and have a talk.
agreed
I like that you show some of the challenges, as many worm videos are more advertisement than edutainment.
Hello your vemiculture video started a fire with me and starting a worm farm, and after watching it I got completely hooked on your RUclips series, I started building a few of my own. I wanted to thank you personally sir it has completely changed my life for the better . 🙏🙏🙏
That is awesome!
Your voice is so calming.. love listening to you. Love from Melbourne
I love how your garden is like a terrace farm with the heart of it being wormville. Thanks for sharing mate.🤩
I am at a loss for words! I've been looking for someone like you, all my life. I am incredibly inspired by your video. Thank you for sharing your gifts! I believe you are making a difference ❤️
I did not expect this video about worms to end with such beautiful poetry. Nicely done.
Hello, hello, I stumbled across your page this morning. Now I’m not one to normally leave a comment but something about this channel has left me in awe.
Ps thanks for the tip on the onions, my papa bear and I have started to use it in our very own Wormville! Legend
Welcome to the channel 😃🪱
This channel is a priceless find. This is a solution to people’s physical, mental and environmental obstacles.
Thank you for showing the tip for treating onions, now I do not have to throw away my onion kitchen waste. Great video
Wow, you’re a garden zen-master. I love your wormproject AND of course your photograpy.

Amen!
I literally have a bathtub on the farm. It was destiny haha thanks for sharing. You rock
I've watched a lot of worm casting videos. This is the most informative.
I’ve modelled my worm farms on geoffs design but I let the rain in my worms go crazy for it, Marty’s garden is a great channel for worms 🪱 he is near port Macquarie, love the way you’re always earthing 🌈🙏😎
For a homeschooling project we made them out of totes. My children enjoyed making and feeding the worms.
My family is so grateful to have recently discovered your wonderful stories. ❤️ From the Messick tribe
Are you talking about totes as in 'plastic storage totes' or tote 'bags' like you would put groceries in? I'm looking for a solution using plastic storage totes, ones that stack even *without* the lids on.
THAT GARDEN IS FLUSH GREEN!!! WOW! nice work!
You’re the conscious living guy that is adding the light for the whole. Blessings! Perfect life style!
I have never seen a more perfect man. This world needs more like you. You are a keeper.

Really nice to watch someone with so much passion for nature and all its goings on .truly living the dream
I like that you are idealistic but not dogmatic in your efforts.
Well you could say that I am unrealistically aiming for perfection (that’s what idealistic means), which may be true, but I see it more like giving it the best shot from that which I have learnt and see what happens. This was the first time I made a wormfarm properly. The population has increased exponentially, and today Wormville is still thriving. I posted a little vid on FB the other week
"Blue" threw me off for a sec lol. Great vid.
Love the Creator in you!
My Grandfather and Father had worm farms and used the Honesty System too. Now I'm starting a flower and market garden, as well as a permaculture methods and a food forest! I've started collecting plants for 2 years now, flowers and vegetables will be 1st! But never watched or ask about how to build beds. Now I must thank you, I was going to use a bathtub but I may just it under trees until I put in a home for them
Finally ! A work farm build that I understand. Thank you for posting this. Love your energy.
You’re peacefulness your editing your storytelling your gardening is just WONDERFUL. You are beautiful and an inspiration
I love how you make due with whatever you have laying around the property. True sustainment mentality.
I try to.
You are a true artist, now to watch the rest of your videos. Thanks
please do, enjoy them snd please comment or ask questions 👍🙏🏻 It helps my channel grow 😃
I use to live in a cold/snowy climate & had a vermicompost worm bin indoors from veggie waste & a compost 2 bay system outdoors from my garden/veggies/yard waste that sat in mostly shade & I never covered the outdoor compost bays. In summer, I would water The pile to keep cool. Summers were dry & a bit hot @ times. The worm pee alone made my plants/veggies/trees so healthy!! Cardboard & watermelon/rinds would be devoured by the worms really quickly, it was hilarious. 😄 In winter I used cheap & big onions & set them out in our living space (living room/lounge) because onions are a natural air purifier. It helps when the home is closed up for months on end. Your tip to dry it out & add it to the worm bin is excellent. One of our neighbor's saw our outdoor compost & gave us his fall leaves & saw firsthand how all his leaves broke down along with the rest of our materials into a beautiful rich black earth soil. Awesome video! Enjoy the content.
I am 70 and was born with green fingers.
What you are doing is well thought through and is exactly perfect.
WELL DONE! l hope to meet you one day.
I click thumb before the video start.. happy gardening

Building a proper worm farm is definitely on the to do list of my farm! I will remember that technique you used on that pole the next time I need to put a piece of wood in the ground. Great video! It was very informative for me.
Great information , using dryed citrus as fire lighters., biochar and how a little bit will spread in a tennis court.
So many tips.
Sweet spot 37' for tiger worms.
You are a great teacher.
💥💪💥💪💥
Thanks Beanie 😊🙏
I've had a compost bin/storage tub for about two years now, i've severely neglected my worms most the time, only changing/ air rating the soil and putting a fresh layer of cardboard on the bottom only twice.
I'm so excited to start this as a new project. My worms have so many babies all the time too so it's much needed for the little guys.
You’re a dead set legend mate. Thank you
Infinite Blessings to YOU and Your Path!
✋🏻❤️🤚🏻
This is by far the most simplistic, and wonderful worm farming video I've come across. Now to find a bathtub. Shucks, after Ian I saw a couple, but had no one to help me pick them up. Fortunately where there is a will, there is a way! Jesus is Lord!
Up date! I was I. My daughter's back yard and low and behold a beautiful heavy tub so we traded water trough for tub. God is so good!!
Just found your sight excellent wonderful information. From the USA and recently started composting and helping the worms and my garden. Thank you so much.
Thanks Mark. Welcome to TWG channel
9:58 HAHA man you really had me going for a second. I thought I was about to learn something! 😁👌
Orange!
Was interesting to see the blood flowing through worm vein👍. Your comment about the whale made me think the sea is like soil, lots of facets that we don't really consider but they are similar.
A great detailed setup of an old bath. I thoroughly enjoyed your indepth instructions. Awesome macro view of your worms too.
Thank you, inspired to build a worm farm now. The one I bought is a little small for all the worms and food scraps now. Love the worm farm, great compost and liquid, can really notice the boost the plants get from them.
i learned so much, thanks for being my long lost nature parent.
I'm the "odd ball" of my typical American family, so I have to rely on channels like yours to teach me things to teach my future children, because I don't want to live the way my family does.
god please make a worm video number 2. i loved this one so much. just overflowing with great information and you deliver it in a warm and down-to-earth way. and like others have mentioned too, the filming and video editing is beautiful. thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you Weedy, you are a legend, I grew up as a shepherd - my parents farmed fresh veg, livestock and a home only dairy. So yes I learnt a lot... your journey is so beautiful - I am inspired to go back to farming - be it a 2x4 worm farm with a few sheep etc,,, start and let it grow as the universe sees fit - again thank you for sharing your journey
Enjoy all your videos, If I was closer Id love to come and visit. You are an inspiration. Thanks for the great content.
Glad you are appreciating it 👍🏼🎃
Multe multumiri si aprecieri din...beatuful Romania!
Your videos are like a meditation, just amazing. I love how you break everything down and give the little details in a fascinating way and your touches of humour. I cracked up when you switched the label to Blue, while building the layers. I actually stopped and thought why is the grass a blue layer?? 😂 before reading 'just kidding' Thanks for sharing your journey, it's inspiring.
Ha ha. That’s funny 🤪
Yeah that is the only time I've ever burst out laughing while watching a worm farm video!
Exactly how I felt, that this was a meditation on gardening! with new little challenges along the way. I'm hoping he's still posting radical content!
I LOVED learning about burning the post end(s) - now that's GREAT info!
Thank you for reigniting my child-like wonder. Your love for your gardening engineers is truly magnificent, magical and deeply respectful. Blessings to you.
🏆 You deserve an award for this video!
I have always wanted to have a worm farm for my yard. This is a great video on how to get the juice for the garden. It,s a good build. Love to see Ian not the only one who likes to go bare footed.
G'day David. Just caught up with your vermicast vid ... bit of medical time out..... As expected, an awesome educational master class in setting up Wormville. I have been worm farming for many years now, in a domestic home food garden set up. Like you, I have also learnt both the likes and dislikes of worm husbandry. One helpful hint, that has helped my worms over the extreme hot spells we experience in Melbourne over summer, is to freeze several 2 or 3 litre plastic milk bottles. Then I wrap them in several layers of newspaper and put them over the feeding zone, as well as the nesting zone to give them respite [DEADLY RESULTS!] from 40 C heat! I have 2 sets of bottles that I rotate from freezer to the worm farms each day of any heat wave! Unfortunately, long ago, I had lost complete colonies to the ravages of heat waves ...... but, haven't lost any since adopting this process! Cheers.

Hi Weedy I just made a worm bin inspired by you and Geoff, it's made from an old water tank and I called mine Wormtropolis 🌅!👍🙏💚😁

just a side note at 4:00 I was extremely jealous that you were able to hammer steel posts so far into the ground with such a small hammer and hit no stones. I can't even get a foot down before i'm hitting some kind of boulder lol.

Thanks Weedy for yet another wonderful video. I really appreciate that you show the mistakes along the way and how to rectify them so that we can all learn along with you.
Thanks for that comment. Yeah, I think it makes my job a lot easier by just showing instead of trying to immitate a prof garden master. When I’m 100, I’ll start to say “I know”, but until then it’s “I show” 🙃✌️

That was pretty cool! Thanks for the video. Nice drone shot of Wormville too!
This video of yours gave me the last push to initiate my wormbin that has been in my mind for the last few days now. Was still thinking of the complicated things that's why it got delayed further and further, but seeing your bin being a tub that gave me the push to just take it easy and followed your method. So I prepared a small bucket with alternate layers of greens and browns topped with cucumber, covered in paper and placed it under a shade. The worms looked more relaxed and at ease than being under black plastic seedling bag that was surrounded by free-range chickens. Thank you ❤️
