    Believe! I was already vegan but eating a lot of processed food, oil, and sugar. My hot flashes had gotten worse just post menopause than during or before. I eliminated the junk and have been eating a plant-based whole food diet for about 3 1/2 weeks. No more hot flashes.

    I am only 34 years old, I had a complete hysterectomy 2 years ago bc of high risk of cancer and endometriosis and this past year I have had some weight gain, I am definitely not feeling myself and my body is going through so many changes, I feel like I am going insane at times bc I am an active fit person and I eat so healthy, so yeah I am so ready to feel like myself!! I’m 55 and that’s exactly what I’ve been finding out that I’m supposed to up that protein especially since I started weight training… Let me tell you I weighed Train for three years and didn’t gain a single muscle with my vegan no protein diet… So I’m gonna definitely try to stick to 140 g of vegan protein See how it goes

    It's easy to say eat all your meals at home but what if you're dating someone, esp at the beginning, the main thing they want to do is go out to eat! Even if you're not specifically out just for food, while youre out doing other things such as the beach, sporting events, shopping, theyre gonna want to eat while youre out and about. How can you realistically be any fun to date if you can only eat your own food!?

    True beauty is coming from a pure heart. By the way you are not gorgeous but rather cute . This is not important how you look outwardly but how you look inwardly. We all return to dust anyway. Focus on your personality and humble yourself before aging will get you. Remember the youthful look doesn't stay forever. Sad thing is that your mother didn't teach you the values of the heart. I'm saying this to you Emmie not to upset you but for your good.

    i've been WFPB for years and not able to lose weight, the only time i have is by cutting calories and walking. I have watched all the videos about you don't have to count calories if you eat high fiber but for me it hasn't worked. I'm here looking for how to lose weight after menopause because i was about 112lbs since i was 14 then 50-57 a constant weight gain up to 155 and now 144 that i have tried for two years to lose fat. I don't eat salt sugar or oils on my WFPB, i steer clear of processed food except for a treat now and then but even then i go vegan low sugar. I'm just saying it's more than diet or it's calorie counting? Not sure still trying not giving up.. i also do meditation and yoga and walking. I think being consistent is another very important factor. Maybe if you go from eating dairy meat and sugar and you do this THEN it will work, but i've been vegan most of my life. 🤷🏼🤷🏼‍♂🤷🏼‍♀

  • @Angela-Bieda
    @Angela-Bieda Год назад +9

    Question!I am 53 and definitely gaining weight even though I work out daily. I lift weights and I’m constantly being told to up my protein. So I use Greek yogurt cottage cheese chicken breast as main protein sources. What do you suggest for protein for somebody who’s very active and athletic?

    • @cj705
      @cj705 Год назад +5

      Protein powder and egg whites are great to add. As we age our need for protein increases to guard against osteoporosis and sarcopenia.

    • @EvaCFricke
      @EvaCFricke 11 месяцев назад

      Add lentils.

  • @Capt.Tony00
    @Capt.Tony00 4 месяца назад

    I have been told to eat an organic whole food diet. So that is the same. But also told that If you don’t get enough protein then you’re going to lose muscle, called sarcopenia. It’s hard to gain muscle back when you’re older. Also I have gluten intolerance that caused a thyroid issue Hashimoto’s disease. So I avoid grains and eat grassfed meat and dairy and organic fruits and veggies and limit my rice and potatoes to lower carbs. I do intermittent fasting and try to get 7k steps . If I have bulletproof coffee then I’m not hungry. Carbs give me cravings and make me hungry all the time. So I can’t stick with it.

      @@HealthyEmmieI disagree. I do not follow a plant based diet. I do eat whole and unprocessed foods. My protein comes from everything from poultry, seafood, and lean cuts of beef. I cook with olive oil. I’m 58 years old, and I lift heavy, walk, and do HIIT. My weight stays stable at 114 pounds at 5 feet seven inches tall. The key is the elimination of sugars, starches like white rice, bread, and potatoes. I do eat soy was well. I do not have any menopause symptoms. The key is that clean eating and exercise has to be a lifestyle mindset.

    How many supplements do you take? Plant based only diet does not provide you with all the nutrients you need. Omega OIls needed for healthy brain function, Protein B12 can only be found in animal products which is why Vegans have to take a supplement. We are not designed to eat plants and seeds alone if we were we would have a beak and not teeth. A well balanced diet is the way to go. Then no need to line the pockets of supplement providers. Faddy diets, excluding food groups are not sustainable in the long term. Sticking to a well balanced, unprocessed food diet which includes all the food groups is the way to go.
