Yes after a while there are bugs in iOS 18.0.1 and there is noticeable lag and battery drain even on newer models for some reason. Initially I thought it was an issue with the test but seems to be true the battery does drain too quickly.
I updated by 15 promax to 18.. Got terrible battery approx 1.5 hrs lesser sot. Downgraded back to 17.7 and getting amazing battery. Idk how 18.0.1 will do

I set up my charging limit to 85% and charge it between 21-30% (whenever I feel like it has to be plugged in). The battery lasts me mostly a day and a half. I bought the phone 3 months ago and it is still going on 100% battery health.

@@tomatohh_i wish if this battery test would include pro models as well, since 15 pro and regular 15 have a completely different chipsets. 😢 nothing is guaranteed so i will stick to 17.7 meanwhile until apple releases a quite stable 18 version.

@@decafale about the standby time, when your phone is on the table doing nothing overnight, is sure gets better, right now im losing like 3-4% overnight, where previously on ios 17, its like +- 10% each night
I’d say it’s a bug and only maybe affects A15 Bionic chip (IPhone 13) .Apple don’t specifically try to plan obsolescence. Otherwise they wouldn’t have give XS/XR another year.

My iPhone 15 on 18.0 holds the battery very poorly in daily life, as if 1.5 times less than 17. The situation on 18.0.1 has not improved((

17.7 feels like 15-20% worse than 17.1 (not testing just daily "feel" based on need to charge). I can't imagine how 18.0.1 could be any worse…
