Twilight practiced tennis that one time in the park and that was all he needed. Just like with the penguin exhibit. He’s an expert at becoming an expert.
I can let any animosity towards Nightfall slip away and just feel sorry for her, simply because it’s so obvious she can never beat Yor no matter how hard she tries.
And Nightfall IS AWESOME in her own right. She's just not the best momma and wife...that's Yor. I think Sarah is being just a bit too harsh her with her. But it is amusing to see how obviously flustered she makes our reactor.
@@remo27 As competent as Nightfall is, she has the shortcomings that:
1. She is a spy whose job is to act, yet she has only one facial expression.
2. She is a spy whose job is to leave personal feelings out of professional matters, yet she is actively interfering with a coworker's assignment due to personal infatuation.
3. She isn't dating me, for real for real.
The realism of Haikyuu has spoiled you, Sarah. Spy Family is heavier on the absurd. Loid is that good at tennis because he can just BE that good at just about anything he needs to for a mission. Except maybe parenting. Just roll with it. 😁
Yep. The show leans heavily on spies...at least the best ones (and Loid and Nightfall are first class spies) can learn things fast and well and excel at just about anything.
This is Anime we are talking about after all, all those over-the-top overpower are usual occurrences in anime😅

It’s just an anime thing haha it’s so funny to see Sarah getting absolutely confused over their super tennis abilities. Yes Haikyuu and Run with the wind have incredibly realistic portraits of sports, but that’s actually pretty rare in the anime world. Most stuff happen with exaggeration, especially in non-sports-themed anime like this one. Just roll with the premise that Twilight as a top spy can excel at literally everything when it comes to technicals and have fun seeing him still struggling with raising Anya with Superman abilities haha
Fun fact the longest breath held under water is 24 minutes 37 seconds.

Sarah's disdain for Nightfall gives me life
That's the thing, as spies they are trained to be on peak physical condition, and as they need to adapt to any situation, they also are quite mentally sharp, agile and fast learners, but of course is a comedic exaggeration that Twilight could play at a professional level by just dabbling with Yor, yes she can throw literal letal balls, but she's no professional player.
Except spies are not usually trained to be in 'peak physical condition'. That's actually a fulltime job in and of itself , check out the insane amount of hours competitive bodybuilders need to work out and their restrictive diets and such. Spies, like soldiers are kept in good basic shape because yes they might have to fight or occasionally do some other physical things. Still , like police shootings (usually a once or twice in a career thing), the ones actively involved in constant fights/assassinations are few and far between. In real life most spies do little more than gather and analyze data and if successful they fit in so well they don't have to fight or kill.

This play is a comedy. No need to react seriously to these freaks and creepies, I hope you will enjoy this show.
How seriously / literally you take things sometimes has me absolutely cackling 😂 Twilight is more than a matter of disguise - most of his missions require him to not just look like someone, but effectively become them / impersonate them flawlessly in front of people who know them well. So when he takes on disguises, he usually also needs to accurately recreate their skillset, as well. In short, his biggest skill isn't disguises - it's picking up any new skills needed for a given mission and mastering them in extremely short periods of time.
That's the slightly-logical explanation. The real explanation is just that the show is primarily meant to be campy and comedic and Twilight and Yor will be as good as they need to be at anything in any given moment 😂
To be fair, the show kind of makes it clear that Loid is a very talented polymath and such do exist. The show just greatly exaggerates at times for the needs of the story.

Is it just me, or does anybody else find it ironic that Sarah's animosity towards Yuri and Nightfall are completely in line with their animosity towards Twighlight and Yor, respectively?
It's partly that Sarah perceives them both as threats and Sarah is very protective of those she cares about. I love this about her.
If Loid practiced with Yor in the park, then we already know why Loid possesses so much strength there. Well, he prepared himself with the strongest in the country.

Loid is good at tennis because Loid is good at everything. He's just built different.
If you like tennis and can handle unrealistic plays and crazy superpowers then Prince of Tennis is an old classic for sports anime.
If you want to continue the more realistic route of sports anime with good character development then I recommend Baby Steps. An underrated anime in my opinion.

I know Twilight's ability is impossible in reality, but since we have Anya with her telepathy and Yor with her superhuman strength, I guess it's not that impossible in Spy x Family world. But to try to explain this:
Twilight is a genius with a photographic memory. He could pick out Yor's information in milliseconds among tons of documents on single women when he first met Yor at the tailor, so we know how big a brain he has and how quick he is. He's a spy with thousand faces, which means if he needs to be a psychologist, he would learn everything he needs to know about psychology in a week and secure a job in the hospital. He can learn anything by reading just the theories and apply them very well with a click of a finger. And he's fit, so theoretically speaking, he can master tennis as long as he's read all the techniques from books since he has the brains and the form.
She’s so annoyed that the pro athletes are losing to the spies lol, does it frustrate you that Nightfall would destroy you in volleyball Sarah 😂😂
But on a serious note, have you seen these guys fight? Yor, Twilight, Nightfall, those guys are not human. It’s like if Captain American tried playing football one day, he’d be a legend immediately. Their speed, strength, reflexes, etc are superhuman

The new characters that are introduced have to be eccentric weirdos because apparently that’s the only type that Loid can’t read well and misunderstands their every move. 😂
Sorry Sarah, its just one of those thing's you'll have to accept about the absurdity of the show, haha. Top spies like Twilight and Nightfall will be beyond exceptional at what their mission requires them to do (with a few exceptions). With even minimal prep time, they can manage to learn and adapt, and also perform at superhuman levels. They had to let the opponents cheat in the tournament vs our Phony duo, in order for things to be even remotely competitive instead of completely one sided.
I think in the Spy Family universe, an elite spy can easily become a master of every skill, including tennis.
It's the same logic that also tells you someone with an assasin training like Yor has superhuman strength. Of course there could be some kind of explanation behind it that we don't know. I saw a comment of someone who believed that Yors powers were the result of an experiment, just like Anyas. But I personally don't believe that. This is just the style of this anime, using physics in a way that normally wouldn't be possible, just because it creates funny moments.
Tennis is my sport! But shame there wasn't much actual Tennis. And there are people who can hold their breathe for more than 10 minutes. But I think Sarah needs to realize this is an anime and the story will have Loid, Nightfall and other characters to be as good as the story requires.
