      I'm so glad! RA is such a crazy disease, I’m still learning a lot from experiencing it personally, much different than reading about it on WebMd. You’re very welcome, thank you for watching 😃

    diet is major! i tested positive in mid 90's. Dx with Rheum. doc. earily 2000. i grew up with Rheumatisum as a Child. To put it in a nut shell : eat Raw Ginger & Tumeric {curcumin} EVERYDAY. This wks for EVERYONE Everyday.. I'v study Neutr./supps/exercise for 50 years. No Night shade plants, no WHT Potatoe, Wht Sug. Wht Flour, Tomatoes, all dairy & meat free-range. Eat organic when poss. Cut out fried & fast food. Grains when eaten need to be whole food not more flour bread. Best Bread that doesnt hurt- Sprouted Grain, like Ekekiel {in freezer section} eggs are great + important. I know you seem stanch on Food advice, BUT I AM one whos walked this path LONG time. Don't forget to keep your PH in balance. Majorly big deal.. good luck. never give up.. make alone time to rest!! and Prayer. Jesus was/is the ONLY way through this life with true PEACE. Chronic pain has a way of changing ppl

      Thank you so much! I love everything you said, and I eat organic most of the time already, have for a long time bc I love Whole Foods. I also LOVE Ezekiel bread ❤️ Maybe the reason I came off that way in my video is because I had lost 20 pounds right before I was diagnosed, so my diet and health were great right before, I was feeling very well, so it doesn’t make sense at all. So when someone mentions diet to fix RA, when I had already been eating well just seems silly, like that wasn’t the “cause”. But in general, RA or not, we are what we eat 😃 Thanks again for your comment. Sorry you’ve lived with it for so long.

    Thank you. I have had chronic pain for 15+ hrs but recently diagnosed with RA also! Can hardly walk some days now. My sis in law suggested last night I get my stomach pumped as I take a lot of medication to see how that makes me feel! Honestly even fami!y have no idea how we struggle x

      I’m so sorry you were also diagnosed too! I can completely relate to some very strange comments AND suggestions from family members. I think it ultimately comes from a place of concern and they want to “help”, but you also have to keep in mind they have NO idea what RA is or how to treat it, let alone what our daily struggles are. Thank you for your comment ❤️

      @@livingwithrheumatoidarthritis thank you. Yes it is from a place of love but sometime it stings . I know here heart is in the right place.
      100% no one knows how bad it is when it’s bad ❤️‍🩹 thanks for the reply and videos x

      @@jenflowers7392 I can’t say it all here publicly but I’ve been “stung” too with shaming. It’s also difficult too because when you’re newly diagnosed, we go through levels of emotions similar to how someone goes through the loss of a loved one with: denial, anger, blame, etc. It’s not cool if you’re thrown into one of these categories prematurely from someone’s comments, NOT cool! In the first part of my diagnosis story video, I share a quote from Maya Angelou that is totally directed at these exact comments. We don’t always remember what someone says, but how they made us “feel”❤ So true! You’re not alone 💕

    Going in to year 4 of my diagnosis and I am have more and more mobility issues. I am struggling to embrace this new norm. I am only 46 and embarrassed if I have use a cane or wheelchair. 😢

    • @livingwithrheumatoidarthritis
      @livingwithrheumatoidarthritis  Месяц назад

      I’m so sorry! The new norm isn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination 😢 I’ve actually been wondering lately if my baker’s cyst, or the swelling on my knees will ever go away, is it permanent or not🤔 I’m 42 and it is difficult to use a cane or wheelchair in public especially when not that long ago I was in the gym. But what I keep in mind is that we aren’t alone and there are many other RA Warriors out there going through it too. It’s easy to compare ourselves to what we think of as “normal” or the vision of what we used to be. Thank you so much for your comment❤️ With every comment I get, I realize I’m not alone, which is so helpful! and the reason I’ve made my recent videos. Thank you for watching 💕

    Thank you so much for sharing your journey! It’s been helpful to me! I have a question. Do you have constant pain that fluctuates from day to day or do you have times of no pain? This is all so new to me!

    • @livingwithrheumatoidarthritis
      @livingwithrheumatoidarthritis  Месяц назад +1

      You’re very welcome! Thank you for watching. There was only one day where I would say I had constant pain all day long. The pain travels around - at random - hands, wrists, shoulders, hips, knees, toe joints - those are the places that bother me most right now, other times my elbows have really hurt and so have my ankles. The pain level fluctuates too. I know this sounds crazy! It’s hard to explain.
