Worked on a Mac Mini 2012 but I had to find a Win 7 computer. The drivers would not work on Windows 11 despite supposedly being compatible with them. Also when writing the fixed firmware, the writing process was bumpy, stopping at certain percentages for a while then speeding through others. It took nearly 3 minutes to write but it stopped at 100% and didn't verify. Luckily, it still worked.
@@lllllllllll303 Not really. You might have better luck using the recent drivers on Win 8 or later but I didn't. You could try a virtual Win 7 installation, as long as it can access bare metal. Unfortunately, I think you need Windows for this as apparently Linux doesn't work well for this task.

@@aoeaster Is that the chip that the iMac 2019 has is not the same as the one you have in the video, there are no tweezers that can hold that iMac 2019 chip, there is no way to hold the chip with tweezers
This simply clears the password from the chip while maintaining the original chip's contents. If your chip is corrupted, you need a working backup to reprogram your chip.

I left it on for a while and now it stays on a black screen every time I turn it on, the fan spins but it doesn't do anything at all... would I have to look for a bin file on my board to modify it or just deleting the key like in your case could it work? thank you so much
Looking for a bin file would be a great idea, provided it doesn't have any other issues. I would suggest you try using an installation USB to determine if there is an issue with the display.

When the screen still turned on, I created two USB with different OS Capitan and Yosemite but it never recognized the USBs or anything, only the mouse pointer came out. I also connected the internet and I got a hard drive with the planet Earth on top flashing. After that it did nothing, just a black screen, but the fan did work.

Try holding down on the shift key on the keyboard while selecting restart on the start menu. This is one way to access the BIOS on a Windows PC, it might work for your Mac.

I did everything the same, but it fails on the verify. I can't seem to get a good burn. Chip is a 25Q064A in a 2012 MBP 15". I've done half a dozen 13" models with no problem.

Not sure if its can work on windows 10 devices, but I keep getting a drive error with the CH341A Programmer application, then it says device state: NotConnected even the the device is infact being powered

It's not possible to do so within the procedure. The system is locked and inaccessible for use at this point.

I know that iMac 2019 has an EFI chip on board. If you can locate it, you can try to remove the password using the method described in this video.
