Yes interested in a plant tour Piet. Noticed quite a few more red calves in the calf barn, are you using more red bulls? Congrats on the dairy milk move, and look forward to the future with Supreme as well.

We're not using more red bulls, just a coincidence that we have a few together in the same time period.

We had a neighbor the last few years he milked cows he sold his milk to bongards. He always mentioned they were extremely nice to work with and did pay better. We do use there sliced cheese for cooking and it is good stuff.
Far as the dfa not working out… im guessing that had to do with river view dairy being ampi was previously involved. They supply a large portion of ampi’s production

Hope it’s a real good very long relationship!! Congrats on Your Supreme TMR mixing wagon sponsor! That’s awesome! The dealership where I worked was a Supreme dealer and it is very nice, well built TMR wagon for sure! That’s also exciting news that Your Sister’s Creamery is expanding! All kinds of good news! Thanks for sharing that all with us Piet! 👍👍

Congratulations on your customer 'upgrade' and good luck with that. It is amazing to see the changes in the distribution of millions of gallons of milk and wonder how the market can adjust to that.
You may know the 99-cents Only retail chain recently closed all their stores (371 stores) and I shopped there. Their milk was $3.60/gal, while the next cheapest was $4.99 in our area, more likely $5.99/gal and above. So they went thru a lot of milk, and I was wondering how their supplier could adjust to that. But there is a store now selling at $3.80/gal so that may be where their supply went. Somehow the market adjusted very quickly as the notice and store closings was very quick.

Processing all of our own milk is a distant future goal! It's a misconception that the colored breeds are mainly a2a2 and holsteins are not. Jerseys can be a1a2 also. About 80% of our herd that's been tested is a2a2, we have 3 100% a2a2 pens that supply cows & Co with a2a2 milk.

I likely bottled your milk, or made sure the machines were running to bottle your milk! that cass clay plant is a dumpster fire, lotta gotta folks there, but when I was there boilers were about shot, just a shotty building and no space for expansion all they seemed to care about was their yogurt line and some big spendy machine from across seas. France I think?

The farm does really good production and has the numbers to prove it, so they speak for themselves. You just needed to right group to come in a see the potential I think, and they did and now everybody wins !!
Yeah, I'd like to see a site tour of the milk processing. We see where the milk is made, now we should see where it goes, and what happens to it when it leaves the farm.
My Papa pastors a church in Wetaskiwin, in the middle of a field. Been there for twenty plus years now.
