I enjoy your style of making videos. You have a good nature about yourself and good charisma for the camera. Also really enjoy how your wife is such a helping hand to you . Stay young, strong, healthy and keep making videos .
Love your videos. Turned out to be one of my favorite channels to watch. I was actually born in Sisseton. My grandparents lived there, and still have family there. Spend time out that way every year hunting and fishing. Keep putting out the videos.
8 years of production, output, and sales and you still made 20% on the original investment. That is great financial results! Excellent video, and you can see plan as day why the call’em the “the better half”!😂👊👍
Hey glad you did good with them old cows, always fun when you get more than you paid for them lol. I agree with you though I think things are going to be getting cheaper. Thanks for doing such a great job of sharing the ranch life guys!
I Bought and sold many animals from that sale barn, the unloading area used to be with out a roof, used to be 2 ways in to the sale ring seats, one was the steps and the other was to the left of the ring at floor level.
First time watching your video good job I remember selling cows at the sale barn ONS is a packing plant they always bought cows in Sleepy Eye Auction Barn back when I sold there.
Just watched your video. Our auction here locally in Chehalis, Washington is on Fridays & one on the first Saturday of each month. Prices have held steady ...not gone down..🎉 MY friend who has a breding bull business...take a large bull once in a while when they get too big...1800 to 2200 pounds. Has been getting anywhere from $1.58 to $1.70 a pound. Has been really good. His breeding bull rental/leasing business since February...have most home by mid October. He has 40 to 42 bulls. Always in the cattle business...he just had his birthday..87. Still does great. We have known each other since hevwas 17 & me 14. Back together for 2 years. My husband died six years ago. Nice to have a good familiar trusting friend. Best to you & your wife...JUDITH FROM WASHINGTON STATE ❤️
Hello my friend it's great that cows in your place they are very expensive in my place cows are hardly as expensive as pigs Even people are very miserable because cows are very cheap there is no profit
Hey again, Mat from Down Under. Following your request, I did endeavour to contact you via a text message a week or so ago. I'm not sure if you received it. Could you let me know? Being a livestock producer, auctioneer, and also a buyer, I was highly interested in the auction. JBS is big here in Australia. Off the top of my head, they have four plants in my state alone.Regarding the fact that bulls made more than cows its to do with the yield percentage. A cow might yield from liveweight to dressed weight depending on her condition 45 to 52% while a bull could yield up to 60% or better, also bull meat can be pumped to increase the weight. Salebarns and processors are not as prompt in handing over a cheque here. It's around 14 to 16 days before you get a cheque. For identification, all cattle sold here has to have an NLIS tag which omits a frequency so the animal can scaned and traced back to every stage of their lives and where they were pastured. Thanks again.
Probably should take those 2 calves…Baby calves bringing high prices too..When I bought baby calves calves I hated paying $75.00… now I wouldn’t buy any….They are bringing $500.00 and $600..00….Whew times they are a changing!!!Great video….
I guess the prices are good. I remember when thirty cents a pound was good. Years ago I use to work for burley action. I live in northern utah and would gather up cull cows and ship them to burley Idaho. Everyone made money except me. Owners made money, the truckers made money, and the auction made money. I figured I rounded up about five thousand head in two years. My cut was hardly anything. I was young a stupid.
Yeah we're a hair bit better up here still but yeah there is defo a softening but allot feel it will lift again as there's allot cashing out so eventually the market will burp looking for calves, no one wants to calve anymore, especially in the North
Very informative, thank you.. You comment on the high prices for your Cull cows .. You expect to turn over 20% every year ? , for comparison what will replacement heifers cost you ? Either Maidens or with 1st calf at foot, however you do it ? which part of the year do you look to bring them into the herd ? Thank you in advance
If u don’t like Ford why did u buy one,I would have bought Chevy, iam 76 owned 1 Fordfor couple months gave it to my father in law and went and got my a Chevy,I had a ElCamino for 25 yrs and sold it after my wife passed away, didn’t have a cruising partner.

@@haulingit1793 The Ford F-Series has been the best-selling truck in the United States for 47 years in a row, selling nearly 750,800 units in 2023. Love that country up there. Back in the 90’s I traded a few cows with an outfit called Symens Hills Ranch. Always enjoyed going there.

Mince an old bull up and sell it as a prime Angus burger at MacDonalds
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
