    I have a steel series nova pro for xbox now just unboxed it yesterday. I bought it bc I was hoping with its unique features that I might be able to put my also new stream deck to use I bought (solely for soundboard trolling in proximity chat) but the stream deck was made for pc gaming but I was wondering if you knew of any back door ability to get my soundboard via stream deck to play thru my steel series headset/mic so I can throughly enjoy the proximity chat trolling. Fingers crossed one of yall some peeps knows of a trick for this lol.

      Hey, thanks for stopping by and dropping your question.
      I can't say I know of a way to make that work either, knowing that the Xbox uses a separate audio codec than regular USB devices I'm just not sure there's a way to cross function it that way, but maybe someone will come along with something. Best of luck and thanks again for watching

      I occasionally use a Rode Procaster II to do the same thing. UNFORTUNATELY you’re only going to be able to do this on Xbox with headers which have a removable mic. I use a LucidSound, unplug the mic then plug in my RCPII, which I use for an XLR mic and sound effects. With the Nova having a built-in retractable mic you don’t have this option. Sorry.

      The Arctis Pro Wireless, not the Nova Pro?
      I know the Nova has active noise cancelling so that might be it. If you're on the older Arctis Pro Wireless, make sure your gain is at about 50% and the chat balance is no more than about 60/40 or 70/30. That should keep that dull white noise down.

      It has its limitations, however it's not advertised as working on the Xbox.
      However as mentioned if you use the included Aux cable and plug into the headset plug on the controller it will indeed work that way. That's the only way to get in game chat. If your USB connected to your computer your mic 100% works in Discord or Xbox party chat that way.

      A little late to the party so I am pretty sure you already found the solution but for others I will let them know that in the party chat menu under "option" you'll find a setting near the bottom of the list labeled "noise suppression". Set to on and this will prevent background noise from your side being heard by other people in the party. A clan member was annoyed by the sound of my fan and after enabling that setting he can no longer hear it, even at full speed aimed right at the mic. Hope this helps.

    • @Spartan117Echo
      @Spartan117Echo  Год назад +2

      Hi there!
      Unfortunately the way the Xbox Audio Codec works, SteelSeries has two versions of the Nova Pro Wireless headset. One that works on , PS5/PC/. They have two products, one that will do PC/PS5/PS4/Mac/Switch and the other that will do PC/Xbox/Mac/Switch/PS5. The main difference is the Xbox one has a dedicated Xbox USB port on the back and then one free use port that works all on the others, and the PS5 headset has two free use ports that work on all of the others.
      So unfortunately if the you have the PC/PS5 version it doesn't have the USB port needed to work on the Series X. The next best option would then be to use the Aux cable and plug into the headset and your controller.
      Honestly Xbox just needs to get in a line and use the same Audio Codec as everyone else. Hope that helps!
