Dan, I only discovered Max a few days ago, and am so very grateful that I did… the past few days have been an emotional roller-coaster for me and visiting Max is like taking a tiny vacation from the troubles of this world. I'll admit, after worrying about the details of the episode when you said "that WAS Angel's carrier" having not met Angel yet, then seeing Angel in a declining state soon after, then finding Angel's memorial video, I was so broken-hearted for you and Max, I just cried and cried. After finding your Q&A video I gained even more respect for you and shared your story with my companion, who doesn't watch RUclips. Today I awoke to the news of a dear friend's passing… the second time in a week, and the third in a month, that someone close to me has passed. As soon as I went to RUclips, there you and Max were… the perfect tonic to lift my spirits. Thank you for being such a beautiful human being, and for sharing your Little Boy with the world. You have touched so many hearts and are doing a great service to many souls who you will never know… blessing forever, to you, my friend!
Marin Angeli welcome to Max's channel! It is nice hearing from a new sub. Sorry to hear about your losses. Yes, we all cried at Angel's passing. She is sorely missed. I like watching old Max videos partly to see her again.
It makes me happy to see parrots with good owners. People, please think carefully about the commitment involved in getting a parrot. For one, look at the mess they make, you can see it in this video. They are demanding and noisy. They need a lot of attention. A lot of time and money goes into preparing their food, and vet bills for exotic pets will be high. So many people decide to get one on an impulse, without understanding how complex and time consuming their needs are. If you don’t think you can carry through with these things for the long years that these birds live, then please, don’t get one. Nothing sadder than seeing a parrot ignored and neglected, or passed from person to person. They are intelligent, sensitive creatures, they bond strongly with their owners, and deserve so much better.
okay but I actually laughed when Max stuck his head under the window so you couldn't close it. "give me window time or give me death" djskflsdf he's so DRAMATIC
Max is such a loving, trusting little soul. He just dosent understand that not everyone, or every animal in this case, is as loving as he is. It's a good thing that daddy is always there to keep little boy safe. :)
Ha. A few weeks ago, before leaving for work, I stupidly left one of the side doors on my parrot’s cage open. When I got home 8 hours later, I was standing in the kitchen, staring at a bowl of apples on the counter, trying to make sense of why there was one bite taken out of each apple - and I heard this meek little “hello?” come from the area opposite of where the bird’s cage was. He was sitting on a wicker plant stand in the corner of the kitchen, pieces of wicker all over the floor. No telling how long he’d been out. I immediately looked around for my two cats....both of them were hiding under the sofa. This isn’t really funny. As we all know, it could have turned out differently. One of the cats could have been seriously injured.
@@Sailormoonfan88 well, of course! And that would have been horrible, and something I’d have spent the rest of my life feeling guilty about. Thank God it didn’t happen. Usually the last thing I do before leaving the house is to make sure the parrot’s cage is shut up and secure. But the reality is, the cats are terrified of him. He has no fear of them, and a lot of confidence, and can be very intimidating.
Thanks Dan for reassuring me...Deep down I knew that would be the case ! It's just the dog incident sent off alarms 😲You're a great carer and it's perfectly clear that Max adores you ❤️💙

James Rossi my parents had westies, both were known to be ratters and at least one was known to bring down pigeons. Lucky if they can, but I was always vigilant.
I have helped with a few injured wild birds and owned a few small parrots. If a bird will go up and you need them to immediately (or you are teaching them) tap their stomach low by their feet and they will automatically step up. Also if a bird is injured the first thing you should do is covered them up. That lowers their stress level. and calms them down which can end up saving their lives. It also can help them calm down if they get way emotionally upset over something.

I thought "Why don't you answer your kid lady? " only to realise it was a cocky doing this.
So funny. I couldn't stop laughing.
Thanks for sharing Max videos i love watching him.
And that's why I never take Jerry anywhere if I have to leave him in the vehicle. Run Max he isn't being nice.

Great job dad!! You just never know if that dog would have gotten out!
thank you Max's daddy for keeping Max safe. that was a big dog tfs
Oh, Dad so protective. Dad loves his Max so much.
I love it when Max starts summoning Satan ( when he's mad at dad ) LOL. But all joking aside, that is kinda horrifying in a way and it gave me the chills. Anyone who's raised a child knows that fear all too well when they have no idea in all their innocence what dire dangers are out there. I guess ur bird is like a feathery child.
poor Max so friendly lol
