I love them both and i listen to them daily cus they both make amazing music.
That is what makes BMTH songs always sound so whole. You need both, the raw power of Oli's screams and the clean, harmonic backbone that Jordan provides. Unparalleled, and absolutely wonderful!
But oli can't scream anymore tho... and if he does ... is only a part of what he used to... the change of styles definitely helped his voice recover and get some amazing screams every now and then. Honestly this is better than having him.hurt his voice even more....

Jordan is one of the biggest reasons bmth got so big and he doesn't get enough recognition. Hes an amazing composer and a beautiful singer and and awesome guy over all. This guy changed the Deathcore genre, keeping metal alive in 2021 and basically making my teenhood. Thank you jordan.
Without Jordan, Bring Me The Horizon would have eventually fallen off the face of the earth. He has influenced them so much on every record and more importantly, encouraged them to do as they want, which is definitely the reason they still exist. I have no doubt in my mind that they would have broken up already with Oli wanting to do something more but not being understood by anyone except Jordan. The man just reads Oli and creates music around it.

they probably can't... Oli has the tone... Jordan has the technique... as for emotion... you need to understand backing vocals are more about precision than emotion so it's not a fair comparison in this case really... but just hearing how much of him is on this is kind of overwhelming.
I'd say Oli is much more raw with the latitude to be so in his vocals. But with Fish, I feel the soul, the spirit. I feel Its more supportive in function than the aggressive, commanding tone Oli has, which I love as well. Without Fish, the rage no identity. Love both guys!

You can tell its been put through a synth though. Not that that's a bad thing. That's just the sound theyve added in their effects And its not just jordan. At the 3/4 mark where it would get heavier and oli would start screaming there's layers of olis voice too. I always knew there was layers of oli and jordan in alot of songs. That's why they always sound so powerful when it builds. And the extra layers of their voices have always been why they always sound so good. They have very similar voices. Jordan is a great composer and vocalist, but he lacks the vocal power to be a rock frontman. Oli delivers the raw aggression and and energy needed in his screams and distorted vocals. Jordan’s vocals are bright and clear but without Oli’s guttural aggressive screaming and distorted vocals on higher notes, it doesn’t work. It feels empty
Oli is risking his vocal cords to get that amazing aggressive tone while Jordan is playing it safe. That's why Oli struggles live and relies on Jordan's backup to cover half the cleans. They also play half-step down and Oli does the lower harmonies of high choruses.

Watching live performances you notice how much of the live singing is done by this guy. Vs Oli act performances on stage and videos. They make a nice contrast of what is needed in the industry a face for front and a machine to make all work (jordan)

I was thinking that same thing, dont get me wrong i like this and all but oli is the voice of BMTH. Not saying Jordan isnt a good singer but in my honest opinion i think oli is way better at singing than Jordan. The tracks are out there, you can listen to Jordan singing the whole songs in the back, It's team work. In Throne you can clearly hear how Jordan vocals impacts, that raspy sound from the chorus, IS JORDAN not Oli. Then you can identify on the other tracks who's voice is. When you see them live and you pay close attention to Oli you notice that the automatizations for the live show makes Oli's vocals go lower than Jordan's every high note or chorus. I'm not saying Oli is a bad singer, he used to be a bad singer, but Jordan has a lot to do with Oli's improvement cause that's what a great producer does.
And no Jordan No bmth too. This dude has revived the band at the right time which is why not many realize his importance. BMTH would have probably stopped making music if Jordan never joined them.

Not saying Jordan isnt a good singer but in my honest opinion i think oli is way better at singing than Jordan. Then again he's a singer and jordan isn't, like im sure oli is good at making beats and such bit Jordan is better, but a collective group they all do their jobs very well. I will always like BMTH for the fact that they always evolve with every new album and its always something new and exciting for us fans
@@Sikboi Then you're cheating your ears buddy, Oli stopped being the main vocals for BMTH since Jordan started producing them, whithout this layers from Jordan oli wouldn't sound the same. The tracks are out there, you can listen to Jordan singing the whole songs in the back, It's team work.
In Throne you can clearly hear how Jordan vocals impacts, that raspy sound from the chorus, IS JORDAN not Oli. Then you can identify on the other tracks who's voice is. When you see them live and you pay close attention to Oli you notice that the automatizations for the live show makes Oli's vocals go lower than Jordan's every high note or chorus. I'm not saying Oli is a bad singer, he used to be a bad singer, but Jordan has a lot to do with Oli's improvement cause that's what a great producer does.

And no Jordan No bmth too. This dude has revived the band at the right time which is why not many realize his importance. BMTH would have probably stopped making music if Jordan never joined them.
