This entire show is just unbelievable. It works so well. And the band and players and singers sound amazing.
Best concert performance I’ve ever seen. Wish I could’ve attended it back in the day.
I watched their show a few weeks ago and I was so mesmerized by how good it was. Definitely my favorite live show by far
BMTH from what I've seen always put on epic shows. I haven't seen them personally but would love to based off all the live videos on RUclips.
totally agree. One of my favs for sure
I saw them At WWWY and I found it amazing how all their visual effects made them look like they were in a music video. When I can see a full on set near me they can take all my money. 😂
This is the one concert out of any concert -past or future - that I wish I could experience. This was not just a concert. It was a bloody beautiful spiritual experience through headphones. Can't even imagine what actually being there would have been like.
It was as amazing as you would imagine it was! 🙏
Same
I was there and it was amazing especially as it was for a teenage cancer Trust concert. This was filmed and a dvd was made. AMAZING
Completely agree :)
Have a 400 watt RMS THX 9 speaker system, headphones are for peasents
Watched this entire concert many times, still get chills. So well done by all.
Same same, always wished i was there… but seeing them this February:))))
@@robertbijma1463 where?
One of my favorite performances by them for sure!
So many chills right before the chorus omg
you're right - this is absolutely incredible.! this is the Parallax Orchestra, known for accompaning a lot of rock and metal bands when they do orchestral interpretations of their songs. Simon Dobson is the conductor here. the concert was for the Teenage Cancer Trust Foundation with all proceeds from this release (vinyl, cd, dvd, bd) being donated to Teenage Cancer Trust. ♥♥
Gotta wonder if these guys / gals were in any of the Architects remix's
Thats so awesome 👌. Thx 4 the info!
The Intro was written by the conductor. if you listen, you can hear tiny arrangements from other BMTH songs laced into it.
Waw, I watched the whole video with many times, but just realized that
The only i part I hear is doomed laced in it
The choir intro to Shadow Moses is awesome....
Absolutely amazing
Gives me chills every time. Should definitely react to that.
🏃♂️💨💨
The whole show is awesome, but yes Shadow Moses was a cut above
Yea amd you know the blonde chick in that choir is Jordan's wife she's the leader of that choir
metal bands with orchestras just always works. epica does it, BMTH did it here, and Architects had that live recording of their last album with an orchestra. so good
Hell yeah the Abby Road performance is amazing.
Don’t forget the GOAT….Metallica and Symphony albums…European melodic metal bands have had these orchestral classical elements in their music for absolutely ages….but going from thrash to the symphonic stage…that was iconic….
Avenged sevenfold did it too
The BMTH and Architects were same orchestra btw
everyone forgets about metallicas s&m
Metal was MADE to be paired with orchestral arrangements, and my mind cannot be changed. Examples: Lorna Shore, Falling in Reverse, Evanescence, Within Temptation, TSO, nightwish etc. (I know not all have a form of orchestra, but they all have songs that at the very least feature some form of string accompaniment) Not to mention the whole Architects Abby Road shabang.
I’m so sad they don’t play this song anymore . Easily one of my favorites.
Three months ago at the Big E in Massachusetts they played it and everyone lost their shit, myself included
@@Trashbucko I’m jealous!
agreed
Why?
@@DieOffenbarung why what
the first time i ever heard this version I started SOBBING
Same here! For real, I just wasn't expecting it to be tHAT brilliant
This one and also Throne and Drown have me gutted especially the Albert Hall versions.
Fue de esas canciones que me gustaban pero oirla asi sencillamente me dejo shockeado, y asi por siempre se convirtio en mi cancion favorita de Bring me the horizon.
fr ive honestly watched/ listened to the whole concert in full like 20 times i cannot get over how gorgeous it is, goosebumps everytime
This is the first time I’m hearing this and your comment popped up just as I was tearing up😭
I've always felt that Jordan Fish is wildly underrated for the work he's been doing for the band. Both vocally as with the musicality in general! Love this so so much!
Underrated? If anything, he is overrated

That show was just unreal. Jordan’s vocals mixing with Oli’s is always so beautiful.
its a powerful concert that i wished i could have been there in person….some songs are so powerful that they bring a tear to my eyes…exceptional performance by band/orchestra and the fans….so ethereal….
Bring Me The Horizon has been my favorite band for like 10 years now. Their songs have moved me in so many ways and continue to give me chills to this day. Doomed was definitely my favorite song off of That's The Spirit, but it wasn't until I heard this performance that it hit me so hard. I was on my way to work one morning when I listened to it. I just broke into tears and cried so hard for my 45 min drive, listening to this on repeat. It healed some part of me I can't explain. I went and got "Doomed" tattooed on my collar bone like 2 days later and it's still one of my favorite tattoos to this day. This show, and it being published to view and listen to online is one of my favorite things this band has ever done.
I got to see them again a couple weeks ago here in the USA and they simply never disappoint. 🖤
Throne is to me like doomed is to you but Doomed still gets me.
This is one of the few songs i will actively search out a "Live" performance for. Truly a beautiful piece
I've been a fan of BMTH since the beginning. Just seen them live in NYC and they sang this song but this live performance always gives me chills. Please check out Avalanche by them live. You wont be disappointed.
Did they play Doomed at Barclays?, I was there but I was so over the moon that I can't remember. 😂😂😂
@@Alex-kj2up I was at the Barclays too and I don’t think they played doomed tbh. They played drown
@@Alex-kj2up yeah they didn’t played doomed, I wish they did but the only really older song they played was “sleepwalking”
i was also at the NYC show!
Sadly no Doomed. I wish it were true. They killed it Shadow Moses. Barclay was heat.
my skin is being covered with goosebumps just right now... that's incredible. One of my favourite rock bands ever
The arrangement brings me to tears everytime.. so beautiful
No matter who you’ve seen, no show compares to a BMTH concert! Seen them 4 times and it’s always memorable!
Linkin park?
Bring Me The Horizon
Architects and Parkway Drive
BMTH , Parkway drive and Architects are the best shows you will ever see!!
TOOL was probabaly one of the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to 100s of concerts. Nine inch nails or Marilyn Manson back in the 90s was my second spot. I saw BMTH on tour for ThereIsAHell album and that was awesome.
This is just one song. The entire concert was AMAZING! I love when a band adds in orchestration, it gives it a new feel and sound. Great video!!
Feel very lucky to have been at this show. Had quite low expectations and it turned out to be INCREDIBLE.
Why did you have low expectations? Not asking to be critical, I'm just curious
One thing i wouldn't have gone with was low expectations
BMTH puts on one of the best live shows I've ever seen. I got to experience them for the first time at a smaller venue on the tour for that album and have been a FAN ever since!
By far the best live band of the moment. Amazing vocals, superb musicians, brilliant lyrics and great stage performances. Chills, tears, energy and power all in one🤟
Idk how I missed this reaction, but we definitely need more! This concert is by far one of my favorites from BMTH, and it's a shame it hasn't gotten nearly as much attention as it deserves.
Absolutely agree!!!
Her reaction is me everytime I listen to this song. Literally. Every. Time.
The whole show was ethereal, phenomenal. To be able to express so many emotions through music, just amazing.
Ginme a break claire
I just love it when a band uses an orchestra, especially the strings. People tend to forget how musicians of different genres have the talent and knowledge and can arrange and conduct other forms of music. I had not heard BMTH before and really liked it.
This concert is absolutely beautiful, from beginning until the end.
A masterpiece of the music.
I love BMTH
It brings tears to my eyes too. Thanks for letting us see this open of a response!
I saw them live in February and Oliver has recovered so much his vocal chords. He sang so well it was insane (it was impossible to have playback trust me) I was so surprised
yeah me too, i just saw the band in brazil a month ago and it was the best experience i've ever had. oli seems tired cz the tour but his voice still perfect.
that performance always gives me goosebumps. Especially the first few minutes
I bought this concert on DVD with the audio CD when it came out. My American debit card didn’t work in the UK so I paid a friend cash to out it on his credit card. This was a magnificent performance. I went to see BMTH at a rock festival when I was 5 months pregnant a few years ago because I couldn’t miss my chance to see them in my state. The people around me were so gracious and offered help when I needed to sit down between sets. My toddler loves rock music now. It’s a great community to be a part of. If you haven’t seen the full concert I’ll send you a rip of my DVD.
Any chance I could get a copy of the dvd can't find it anywhere
I literally got tears in my eyes, this is most beautiful thing that I have seen in a LONG time. This performance is absolutely the best of the best with a incredible mix of cassic and metal. I'm moved to tears and absolutly love Bring me the Horizon. ❤🖤❤🖤❤
aren’t they just so talented? soo many musicians! i watched to see someone swoon like i did 🥰
This is the Parallax Orchestra conducted by Simon Dobson and they are AMAZING! You need to watch them featuring Alter Bridge or Architects. It’s just as epic as this BMTH show. I love all these bands so my opinion may be a little partial 😂
I'm pretty sure Beth has done "words darker than their wings"
This version on Doomed at the Albert hall always brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it.. it is simply stunning and I wish I got to see this live I really do. Reminds me of when I saw the song Suicide season live way back around 2010, so much emotion. The whole album 'that's the spirit' love at the Albert hall is insanely beautiful!!
This concert raised money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Donate here: www.teenagecancertrust.org
Subbed to that one, but can I beg you do a review of Greg Blackman, extremely soulful UK guy making waves. Search for "Sananda Maitreya / Terence Trent D'arby's "As Yet Untitled" accapella" by Greg Blackman and you will not be disappointed. Especially if you know the original.
This concert never gets old and Doomed is the best way to set off your first viewing experience. This is one of my favorite concerts to ever be filmed.
This opening number specifically is phenomenal. I love everything about it and love this band.
Not only is this probably my favorite live album. But Alter bridge played a live show there was well and Myles Kennedy is unbelievable
I got to see alter bridge live in like 2008 or so at club la vela in panama city florida. we were right at the stage, it was amazing. that whole band is ridiculously talented
Myles kennedy is a singer from another planet!! I’ve seen them live several times and they are incredibly talented
Epic epic. I’m pretty sure this was a tribute concert to a fallen friend as well on top of the vocalist having either surgery or blown something out during the time of this concert just to add more depth to an amazing musical experience.
I listen to this concert at least 4 times a year. Goosebumps everytime
I mean it when I say this combined with my life at the time was a life changing experience. God bless Oliver, his band mates and The Royal Albert Hall Orchestra.
I can't imagine being present to that that show that time , it's just look I having goosebumps here watching
Everything here is too perfect
Beth, I could listen to your voice for an eternity
Beth I asked you to watch this a few years back and I am so glad you finally did. This show is absolutely incredible a once in a lifetime experience it will never be replicated or duplicated. Absolutely incredible and perfect.
A well conducted orchestra filled with talented musicians is a miracle.
I didn't know they did this performance, but wow. One of my fav songs by them, and just made better. Great video as well Beth!
8:24 "acoustic cuddle" what an expression. love it haha
The whole set from this gig is so good I would highly recommend looking into it even if it’s not for a video it’s such a amazing set it all works so well with the orchestra
The conductor also composed and conducted the arrangements with Architects on the re-recording of their album For Those That Wish to Exist. There are a couple of videos on RUclips, check out Impermanence (Abbey Road Version)
beautiful arrangement, great track!, what a concert. Hope to get to royal albert hall one day to watch something! Both BMTH and Devin Townsend concerts there are must watch.
One of my favourite live shows to watch time and time again - beautiful
Have seen Alter Bridge and NIN at TRAH. Mega concerts at a great venue that had a big audio upgrade in recent years.
Well worth seeing anything there!
Thanks for pointing me at this BMtH gig as I'd missed it previously and it sounds fantastic.
The really great thing is this show was a benefit for concert research, Oli and the backing vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Jordan worked with the conducter Simon Dobson on the arrangement. They had the full audio and video available of the whole show with Proceeds going to cancer research. This show absolutely amazing and I can't even imagine how more amazing the actual concert was
Also, the engineer (Dan Lancaster) that mixed this record is also singing in the choir.
Been watching and listening to this show for years now, one of my all time favorites and I would have DIED to be there for this one.
This is my favourite band acting.
Bring me the horizon, I promise I will watch one show on live, on of my dreams is watching this massive band playing.
See you in Portugal!!
This concert was amazing, wish I saw it live.
I know this isn’t what the royal albert hall normally has on but i’m so glad. No band is as worthy of these acoustics
the most epic thing ever.. couldnt agree more. This gives me goosebumps. Absolutely amazing!!!❤
I would pay any amount of money for listening to them playing this way again
Thanks
Thank you Mark!
This is without a doubt one of my favourite concerts to watch, incredible from start to finish.
If you plan on reacting to any more songs from this, drown, avalanche and it never ends are amazing performances.
I love how excited you get! Really enjoyed your reaction to this.
That crowd is simply incredible…
That was phenomenal...!!
Had to listen a second time... This time through the headphones...
Thank you Beth..
I listen to everything from classical music over EDM to Deathmetal and I always love when people combine genres this beautifully. I also really have a thing for Metal Opera, you might wanna check out Stratovarius and Avantasia if you haven't already. A very unknown band in this genre is also "Heavenly" and they really caught me with the song "Miracle"
If I had a wish, it would be to experience this performance again for the first time.
Possibly one of the best performances off ALL TIME!!!!!!!
I'm so glad you did this video. I lately have been listening to the whole Royal Albert Hall album from BMTH and i love every one of the songs on it.
I still get goosebumps listening to this song
I'm watching the concert now...
It's good..Really really good...!
Although this came out prior, it reminds me of Architects live video of Royal Beggars, which is arguably one of the greatest metal concert videos ever made.
I'm definitely going to check out the rest of this concert. This was EPIC.
Bring Me The Horizon is probably my favourite band currently. This live version gives me chills every time... If you like BMTH you should react to a new band called October Ends. They're amazing!
I love how emotional you got and this is why, to this day, bmth are my favourite band 🖤
For me apart from all the others bmth live concerts this live from the Royal Albert hall is the best live concert of all. It's awesome and they've performed soooo well and perfect can't stop rewatching this live performance
Late to the comments section but this entire concert is one of my favourites, even my 19 month boy jams hard to it! It gets better with each song and the entire concert is so well pieced together
You're maybe my fav reactionist! I love the way you react to things and the notes you make; they're informative without being information overload like some others do. You're also gorgeous and adorable lol. Anyway, I LOVE when metal has orchestral accompaniment, because I think metal is a very orchestral and theatric genre to begin with, so they just meld so well to create over-the-top emotional and sonic intensity. This whole show is amazing, and you should especially check out the performances for "Shadow Moses" and "Can You Feel My Heart".
The first section/introduction of this song is a classical-style overture of the show they're about to play, which I absolutely love. Check out the album front to back
Literal chills!!!! So excited to go watch the actual video though and will try with headphones
i LOVE THAT SONG, Went to a concert recently here in Los Angeles. Great band.
His voice gets damaged often from screaming the metal songs. I love his voice and his songs. He is a talented musician. He co produces and writes his songs as well. He has so many great songs. I am a big fan ❤❤❤
I agree with everything you've said here aside from the first sentence - it's just not true!
@@KimChandlerSinger Yh 100%. Screaming doesn’t damage your voice if you use proper technique. Unlike Oli who forces his screams and strains massively. Not a hater but his range has been reduced due to his unfortunate lack of technique
@@rgi4140 I can't speak about the state of Oli's voice before 2015, but I've had the honour of being Oli's singing coach for the past 7 years and I can assure you that his vocal technique over all, including his range, has improved substantially over this time. In fact, his "exercising" range is actually wider than most and his vocal stamina on tour these days, especially given their long headline sets with very challenging songs one after the other, is extraordinary 👍
The guy conducting and who did the orchestral arrangements is called Simon Dobson! He’s done a similar show with Alter Bridge too!
Now you HAVE to watch Architects- Impermanence live In Abbey Road! Another amazing metalcore band performance with an Orchestra accompaniment!
one of their best performances
All the songs they did in royal Albert hall was great. I personally suggest check then all out
I cry everytime i watch this 🖤
The French Horn players are going absolutely bananas in this arrangement. God bless em, they don't get enough cool parts
Definitely top 5 favorite concerts/performances in the last 25 years, and I mean top 5.
I really loved this mixing she said.
Its not the first time lol, metal with orchestra is the best purest and finest form of music ever.
I recommend you dead butterflies song by architect. You will cry on this song
I've went to well over a hundred concerts in my life, and this right here would have been top of the list so very easily many times over.
i suggest you to watch Sempiternal too, from Albert Hall concert, it gives me goosebumps everytime
Big ups to Simon Dobson leading the Parallax Orchestra here
If there was a time machine, Live Aid Queen in 1985 and yes 2016 BMTH Live at the Royal Albert Hall would be stops on my journey through time
This consert and especially this song makes me cry and i get shivers in my heart...and i never cry, and rarely feel something that deep.
Oli is so insanely talented
the intro give me chills and brings a tear to my eye
if you liked the clash of Bring Me The Horizon with this orchestral element behind it then I HIGHLY recommend checking out the performance of "It Never Ends" at the same Royal Albert Hall show. BMTH hasn't posted it themselves but there are plenty videos of it on RUclips. The one I enjoy most is uploaded by Felice. It is much more of a "metal focused" song than Doomed is, but the orchestra fits in BEAUTIFULLY. You don't have to react to it I even just recommend checking it out on your own
