0:05 - Waltz 4:10 - Nocturne 8:45 - Mazurka 11:51 - Romance 15:49 - Gallop AMAZING conducting!! Great job. I think this is one of the best versions of Masquerade Suite on RUclips.
muy buen performance, desde Perú, américa del sur, apreciamos la música de Aram, desde Armenia para el mundo, el mundo que construimos amando la bella música...
from France I just discovered this video and more I listen the more I'm seduced by the performance and the elegance of conducting which adds a real pleasure for the eyes. thank you M. James Welsch.
Nice performance! Still sad to see not that many Mexican-Americans in classical music. But bravo to the Asians and Asian-Americans who clearly are making great contributions. Greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico.
Understandable to hear your concerns about Latinx contributions to symphony orchestra in the USA. However, I would love to point you to a fairly new project I have been involved with that brings people on both sides of the El Paso/Cd Juarez border together for great music making: ruclips.net/video/YeVjoCwglr8/видео.html
The waltz is one of my favorites ... to think it premiered just as the Nazi invasion was beginning. I think it's fair to say Khachaturian was the Soviet answer to Aaron Copland.
I played the violin in Jr. High and High School. I sucked at it !!😂 But I tried ... and kept trying right into my adult life. I wanted to be able to play like Heifetz 😝🤪. But even if I lived 100 years, I would only have 1/16th of his talent. Thank you for uploading your concert on RUclips. I love it. I Love seeing all them bows in unison. The sounds is wonderful too.
Sounds like a concerto for snare drum. Maybe that’s just a mixing or acoustic thing, but the snare sounds too forward, especially in the waltz and especially in relatively quieter passages when the strings and winds have most of the music. The performance itself is lovely.
We Armenians are so proud that one of the best composer ever Aram Khachaturian is Armenian ...Thank you James Welsch !
So happy to his music!
Хачатурян - великий композитор вне национальности, хотя not understand why an armenian изъясняется на британском языке

Bravo !
Superb performance. I sense the orchestra had a lot of fun playing this great music by Khachaturian.

Wonderful performance from the orchestra led by a very gifted and charismatic conductor...keep up the great work at the University of Texas!!
The work you all put in was worth it, it's a stellar piece combined with so many talented musicians
Beautiful job in interpreting and conducting! You've captured the essence. And, of course 👍to the young musicians!
Maravillosa y portentosa obra! Excelente Director, excelente orquesta. Muchas gracias ❤
