Binge-watched your videos 2 days before my test and it really helped a lot, so thank you! -I’m an ielts first-taker and didn’t know how to start with my review. I got only 3 wks to prepare and with my hectic schedule, i didn’t have a chance to really sit and review. Anyways, thanks to google and youtube for the resources. I took the Computer-based ielts. Got the result after 6 days and my Ielts was a success! My score: Listening 8, reading 7, writing 6.5, speaking 7. Band score 7. May God bless every one who will take the test!
Thank you for this lesson. One moment i noticed - for me it would be much easy to see the table during all video, in order to be able to read your text and at the same time to look through the table as its not easy to keep it in memory while i read and look for your text.
Thanks for these precious advice, can anyone please asses my answer: The table illustrates the percentage of grown people from five countries who attended paid events in preforming arts, museums, cinema and sports in 2012. Overall, the cinema events were the favoralble one in all USA, Canada, France, Germany and the united kingdom speacially in the united states of america in the same year. From the table we can witness that the UK was the most active in term of these four paid events, however, in the cinema events the US and Canada was significantly active, 59.7% and 52.6% respectively. similary, in the sports and performing arts live events, the UK was the highest percentage of adult population but just under France 41.9% in 2012. In term of museum, France had also possessed the highest percentage of 39.1%, also from the table we can infer that Germany was not the less percentage along with Canada. Facts: 1- I wrote under the real time of the exam (20 mins). 2- I didn’t change anything, even the spelling mistakes and grammar. I just need advice what to work with Thanks all
The given table illustrates the proportions of adults who paid to attend various events of entertainment in five different countries. On the whole, it is clear that the proportions of cinema attendance is way higher than other form of amusement, whereas museums and galleries are considered the lowest particularly in North America. With regards to North American countries, The American and Canadian adults scored the highest amount of percentages in cinema attendance. Figures are accounted for 59.7% and 52.6% percent respectively. In a stark contrast, the events of museum and gallery are not highly popular among the adults of the said nations, USA represents around one fifth, whereas Canada makes up close to sixteen percent of the total attendance. As far as art performance and sports are concerned, the percentages of both North American and European countries are relatively close to each other. Looking at the figures of art specifically, the proportions are ranging between (and stopwatch started ticking indicating the conclusion of the time).
According to the table, sport is not the least popular in Europe, because 31.1% of the UK is the highest in this category and Germany is the third highest in doing sport, so I don't think it is the least popular in European countries. Is there any alternative way to write an overview?
It's been a while I'm working on IELTS Academic Task 1 Writing and I've got to say that I really found this video useful. Thank you so much for your great representation.
The diagram shows the different stage a lady bird goes through in its life, the 2nd diagram show the lady bird anatomy Overall, a ladybird has to go through 4 different stages (egg, larval, pupa and adult) during her lifetime. Its start its cycle from being an egg and completes it until it reaches adulthood and the cycle goes on like this. The anatomy of a lady bird is similar to other arthropods. The lady birds lays its eggs on a leaf and it stays as an egg for around 2 - 5 days. The next is to develop into a larva where it remains in this stage for exactly 21 days. Then its forms into a pupa by attaching it self underneath a leaf for 7 days. After which it emerges out as an adult lady bird. The anatomy of lady bird consists of 8 major parts(head, antenna, eyes, pronotum, red elytra, abdomen, wings, and legs) . It has 6 legs 6 legs, a pair of wings , a beautiful bright red elytra with red dots above its abdomen. While behind its head there is a structure called pronotum. can anyone please review it
You've made a lot of teaching contributions to IELTS exam takers. Adam. i appreciate that however, i have a question: may you use wrong tense? it should have been past simple tense
YEah, I've been stuck with this problem for a long time and now I feel that it got better. Tomorrow, I will apply the rule "not details, just the main features" :))))
Thanks Adam , this is really helpful. But I have a question, you have used past simple in the intro, while you have used present simple in the body paragraph. And the question was in the he past Is it ok???
Thank you for your fantastic channel. But the question is, will I write (do not/did not) while the performing arts do not show... as the year was 2012?
Sir a question! Is it correct to use present simple for a data which is for the past- in this case 2012. You've used present tense in the body paragraphs. Please reply
thanks for the amazing explanations, I've been watching your videos since 2018 when I took my first IELTS test and obtained 6. I just have one question, you started the body paragraph 1 with "Overall, movies were the most...." where you used past tense because the study was made in 2012, while in body paragraph 2 you used present tense such as "arts do not show, it is different, doubles" so I'm confused which tense should I use :/
the question is what should i do if i don't have any similarities . I don't have 'highest '' or " lowest" column...The easiest thing In this example is that you are comparing percentages. Percentages of people who went to cinema, Percentages of people who went to museums and e.t.c. But what if you have DIFFERENT data. F.e. you must compare NUMBER of people with KILOMETRES and with Tons?
Please clarify that overview does not mean the summary of 2 main points that we are going to discuss in further details in proceedings 2 paragraphs as frm your lesson I could see that overview was different frm the 2 paragraphs. I am confused appreciate if you could help me to understand this concept
In the overview u used past tense, but in body paragraph u used present tense, will it be correct if anyone use also past tense in the body paragraph. Waiting for Ur kind response
Hi Adam, I am mystified at 8:16, from the fourth to sixth lines of text "it is different for the museum and gallery visits." if you put a period here, and then described the discrepancy between France and the USA in a new sentence. Do the readers understand that you are talking about the museum?
Thank u for the great video and ur efforts. But it would be great if u could explain more abt the synonyms and and the meaning behind the functional words like boasting and such🙏🏻
Sir your tutorial was really helpful to me.Could you please upload a bigger and more confusing form of typical table.I wish,I could have a teacher of your type in my area.
Thank you sir.But I have a confusion .When I use past or present form of verb in this writing section? Can you explain please? Sometimes I see present form and sometimes past form are used in writing section.
Great! It gives you an overview on how you can arrange the given data and the way you can organize it on the paragraphs, but I would like to say that, for both IELTS writing tasks, there is no upper word count limit, which means that you will not lose marks on writing too much! The important thing to know about Writing Task 1, however, is that you only have 20 minutes to write it down. So, don't try to make long paragraphs as a first instance because you will not need them to score a higher grade!
Can you explain to me as to why you chose to group Performace Arts + Museums/galleries and Cinema + Sports together? I'm having a hard time understanding how to group given figures with each other. Please please sir, I need your guidence!
I have rephrased the question …….. The table shows the rate of grown-ups who paid for consent to different amusement proceedings in USA,Canada,France, Germany and UK in 2012 Is that good?
Good day mr i am sorry for a intrudupting you i am facing with difficulties with table if ther is one significant higher result in table then and other what i should do i should copmare it again and agin
I get confused with the second paragraph. He wrote: "there is a similarly small variance among...".. I think it should be: there is a similar small variance..." since "similarly" is an adverb so to work there should be followed by a verb. What do you think?
Sir, in this video you are suggesting that we separate and write the overview statement even if it is just 1 line, but in your videos for pie charts and line graphs you said we can merge the introduction and overview (if the overview is short or just one line). Can you [lease clarify??

Is it necessary to add a transition such as "according to above"?
Thank u for the great video and ur efforts. But it would be great if u could explain more abt the synonyms and and the meaning behind the functional words like boasting and such🙏🏻

Oh you way of explaining everything is simple and effective
thank you for creating this website and focus on IELTS.
My question is why everything is in present tense (as the data is for 2012)?
You’re legend Adam! 🇸🇦👋🏻
@10:52 Highs, lows, commonalities, anomalies, similarities, differences
One of the great 👍 writing task video which I have seen in my ielts video tour......
I got it: similarly small variance: a little complicated structure, means : there is a equivalent trend in that area, so is adverb+adjective+noun
this explanation and ur way of writing it is quite difficult for beginners to comprehend.
You are incredible sir Thanks love from INDIA 🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁
Ok. Clear. Objective opinion. This is good information . Thank you. I can see this now.

Respect to this guy))
Hi sir!
in the overview:
Could we replace the word 'with' and write 'while' instead?
thanks a lot my dearest teacher :)
Is it okay to write in simple present even if the time is in the past?
Can you explain to me as to why you chose to group Performace Arts + Museums/galleries and Cinema + Sports together?
I'm having a hard time understanding how to group given figures with each other.
Please please sir, I need your guidence!

Hello dear teacher, thank you very much for this video.
Thank you for your lesson. It was really useful for me
Thank you, this is well appreciated.
I am searching one English friend to practice speaking, I want to learn something from you.
I have rephrased the question ……..
The table shows the rate of grown-ups who paid for consent to different amusement proceedings in USA,Canada,France, Germany and UK in 2012
Is that good?
Thank you very much. Really essential and smart.
May I know why you use V1 in Body paragraph? Because there is a time signal which is 2012.

I have not known how to write Table, your feedbacks assist me how to do it. Thanks😊😊
I have one question! Do we have to report all the data? (percentage in this task) all of the percentages? of each country?
Thanks for table
Good day mr i am sorry for a intrudupting you i am facing with difficulties with table if ther is one significant higher result in table then and other what i should do i should copmare it again and agin
Shouldn't the body paragraphs in past tenses?
Thanks a lot dear teacher
Sir please tell me.. In task 1 we only make bodyparagraph 1.. Rather than 2
Why did you use simple past for the first three paragraphs and then switch to simple present?
Thank you so much
Is it sama to write in every country.because some people say each country have their own structure
I get confused with the second paragraph. He wrote: "there is a similarly small variance among...".. I think it should be: there is a similar small variance..." since "similarly" is an adverb so to work there should be followed by a verb. What do you think?
Adverb can modify verb, adjective and another adverb. Small is an adjective.
Sir, thank you so much for this video.
Thank you🌺 Well expressed
Thanku sir today u solve my biggest problem
Thank you Sir
I would like you to give some tips for letters too
Regards
