- I started the install at 4:30pm and was finished completely at 5:00pm. the BOV I have is called a Boomba... just do alittle research and find the right one, they don't make many variants.
stay tuned in to the channel to watch the Cold Air Intake and exhaust and so much more!!!
I’ve got the 2020 as well with the 2.0 turbo. This is my first turbo engine. Not too familiar with the blowoff valves. They don’t allow air to be pulled back in right? It’s just an exit only type deal?
Yeah. So without the Blow off valve, all unspent air from the turbo goes back around to the front on the turbo...this can cause unwanted tension on the turbo. The blow off valve allows all the unspent air to be released without putting tension on the turbo :)
@@X1MammothMetal1Xsome cars need the air to be RECIRCULATED back into the system. So the turbo doesn’t have to work as hard to keep the pressure going and regulated.
Do you think the Lincoln Nautilus 2.0T would be pretty much the same set up? I’ve been wanting a blow off valve but since it’s a Lincoln I know it has zero aftermarket support being since only old people drive these cars 😂
I tried looking up the location of the 2.0t turbo divertor valve, with no luck. It seems most vehicles use a 3 bolt method. I'm not saying it will fit, but if we could get the dimensions of the divertor valve I could say for sure.
I got a 1.5. Does this one constantly blow as you cruise or just when shifting? I’ve seen some where they constantly blow. Mane they are defective ones? Thanks for the feedback
@@oKacz it only releases the air when u let off the throttle typically. I guess technically if u always kept ur turbo spooling and never went anywhere then maybe it would release.
I've never had an issue with mine
@@X1MammothMetal1X thank you! I think I’m going to get one!
@@oKacz everyone... I mean everyone... Will turn their heads. I get asked a lot about the turbo noise, and, people don't expect it from a fusion
@@X1MammothMetal1X so true! Any exhaust on it? I was thinking some straight through mufflers or cherry bomb(s).
@@oKacz I have a cherry bomb resonator and I did a muffler swap. Deleted the old one and got a really small cheap one...about a foot wide and a foot and a half long. She's louder. Throaty on cold starts. Occasionally I get a little burble...
Those are called Etorx sockets
You know if this would work on a 2014 2.0 eco boost? From my understanding the factory replacement for that bypass valve is the same from 2014 and up.
Yessss sirrrr, boomba makes 2.0 size for that year. :)
@@X1MammothMetal1X I’ve only been able to find the BOV adapters for 17and up, would that work then?
I have a 2014 2.0
So. I've looked for alittle while trying to find an answer I'm comfortable with saying. What I can say for sure, is, there is a Boomba BOV for you. I just don't know which one. Unfortunately the best thing to do is to go out to the fusion and find where the stock BOV is and then measure the tube it's sitting in...with that number u can find a BOV with the same bolt pattern and try it :) if you say you've found an adapter then Maybe attempt that? I did find a bov for a 1.6L 2014 and a 2.0L 2017... so that tells me that there is one for you mixed within all the unknowns lol. But to be absolutely positive you'll get one that'll fit, I'd go find the original blow off for your turbo and find the size.
Also make sure to get the same bolt pattern obviously. And if you google the location it may be referenced as a divertor valve.
you ever found it?
yes,, thank you for showing everyone how to make there car illegal. We have you domain address now,,, you should expect a letter from E.P.A. soon.. we scan RUclips for these illegal modifications, and fine you nice folks .at a start $ 250,000 or more , for each violation,
Oh my god, shut up, a BOV isn’t illegal 😂
