Steve, about your question about the investigator, here is the basics.
In the coven expansion, you can get 4 to 5 roles as invest, but there will be easier ways to find what they are.

If you know someone is med janitor retributionist or necromancer, and they visit someone, say the lookout finds them, then they are the Janitor, or maybe necromamcer if there are necromancer kills. That is an example of what you could do.
