Fwf became my fav band about 5 years ago and still are. I am so pleased to see this vid cos I genuinely believed theyd be dead by now. Bring on the next tour I'm gonna start saving my pennies now and attend several dates
Yay! Glad to have been the conduit of good news. My eldest is named Georgia, and technically she's a Smith too! Well you'll know this channel has the greatest FWF archive out there. Save your pennies.
Thanks for this. If I could have gone to any festival anywhere this year, it would have been End of the Road. Looks like the band has gone "pro"; what a perfect performance. I have photographer friends in Denver. Same thing at larger shows; first 3 songs, then out.
Yeah! they do look quite pro. Same with Insecure Men. It was a great festival. I understand the three songs policy, as you can get a glimpse of how intrusive the whole circus is. I would like to have captured more. Everyone's a photographer these days!
Thanks JC. I had fun while it lasted. The crowd shots were grabbed from the gulag. The audio for Goodbye Goebbels and Hits Hits Hits back there was ruined by gabbing Millennials, not recognising one of the great fascist ballads of an era. :) Hence I just used it for overlay.
@@LouSmith no, just behind the barrier towards the right of the stage. Same sort of angle as your footage. I have some great photos too, and will upload those too.
Chris Trew cool. The pit was a bit full of pushy long lensers anyway. I wish I'd been behind the barrier, as after three songs you end up nowhere. I'm not really used to that being a small venue specialist normally.
Can't complain though. We got in free and did a bit of what could very loosely be described as work. Has a blast. Looking forward to Warmduscher secret show at the weekend at the Windmill. Oops not so secret now!
I love all your FWF vid's Lou..... do you think you could ever get the live audio from the front of house desk? I know it's been said before, but there is a movie in what you've got....
Great footage Lou Smith. Haven't you recorded more of the show? Something new? I want to hear something new of my FWF! They don't have to be shy to put new things out... and I hope they will be touring Europe this or next year. Want to see them live again
Yep! They reset the bar height a few years ago for their live shows. Try to get to a gig in a smaller setting, get near the front and you'll be in for a treat.
Thanks Cora! I am using my trusty Canon 5D mkll with a 24-105 L zoom, bought when it first came out a decade ago and changed the game of video shooting. Still a great camera. If you check back through my channel, I have been using it to document the Fat White Family from their inception in 2011, including the Cream of the Young and Special Ape videos. Check out some of that footage ruclips.net/p/PLwU1hn6cdSAFyxflP1zuLZlZ2CiPdtYmU to see them in my preferred small venue setting from the front row. Thanks again.
Rock and a hard place. It would have been mad not to have as well at the time. No doubt that they are not the same without him, but also that they couldn’t function with him.

so glad these are still together, they had me scared. best current group in english rock and roll that i can think of.
New album in the pipeline! A lot of other projects and spin-offs been created in the meantime.
Terrific footage Lou - up close and personal. Well done!
Woo! Thanks the Daave. Wish I'd had the full head on me. A blast was had, which was the important bit.
I was there! They showed me a damn good time! Thanks for letting me relive it :)))
Yay! Glad to be able to.

This was a real highlight for me! Thanks for uploading x
Hey Jasmine. Thanks for the comment. My pleasure.

Bring on album no.3 these boys piss all over Idles for me.
It's on its way. I was just with them today shooting some material to herald the new release.
@@LouSmith Fuckin' Nice one. I met Adam when we supported Warmduscher lovely bloke.
Idles are a bunch of soft boys
Everyone is soft on the inside.
Maired's face when Lias is screaming in Tin Foil Death Star... classic!
Nobody does terrified disgust better than Mairead!
@@LouSmith Yeah she's great 👍🏼
Hope they are playing at Trades Club or Leeds again soom. Thanks Lou x
You must have been standing next to me! I'll post my footage from their set soon.
Chris Trew I look forward to it. Were you in the pit?

Super joli ! merci!!
De rien. Comme d’habitude. xx
héhé, merci quand même, je les kif

They played a couple of new tracks, maybe three, but I was way back in the crown by then. But yes, I think a tour is well on the cards.
Okay so gonna need to know what Saul had on his pedalboard for this one hahahaha
We'll probably never know.
They had a terrific rapport with the audience. I was there :)
Had you seen them before?
Lou Smith No. I had heard of them but had not got round to listening to any of their music. They were a real highlight for me. 🌞😎🌞

8 band members is a handy way to cover up any mistakes.
Big stage too. Lot of mouths to feed. Six is optimal for the fats though.
great footage gives a little of the feel of what seeing this band live is like, do you mind me asking what camera it is quality is excellent

More line up changes and additions as well
Yeah, Mairead was a shoe-in on bass from the Moonlandingz. Don't know the other two.
@@LouSmith Yeah she was great during Moonladingz gigs. Thanks for the info and great footage as usual
She's awesome. Permanently appalled by proceedings, cool as fuck, capable. Lets face it, gorgeous.
@@LouSmith I certainly agree
Endangerous species !
The best kind!
Quality footage, so glad to see they are performing live again. I guess Sev and Taishi are not in the band anymore?
Thanks Chris. I guess it does mean that. Logistically Mairead is based in Sheffield, so a lot easier. Sev, I have no idea.
Lou Smith Aw, that’s too bad. Can’t think of a better replacement than Mairead though!
Aye lad.
