    For those who don’t understand:
Kratos was weaken because he breached into Valhalla with force. So Valhalla took away his physical strength as a punishment. That’s why we start at lvl 1. And Valhalla was limiting Kratos abilities to force him to use different strategies, so he can master his skill without relying his brute force and the strategies he used to. That also apply to the player to encourage us to try different play styles.
Therefore he is not weak, he was only weaken while he was in Valhalla.

Y'all are forgetting that tyr will admit kratos is stronger when he defeats him. Just because he can catch the punch doesn't mean kratos is weak. The point of the battle is to spar, the intent isn't to kill tyr, so when kratos has him down, he's not going to punch with full force

Valhala as I understand, was like a dream state, or a place within your mind. It has nothing to do with Kratos’s “weak” physical body. Kratos is much stronger than his younger self. That much was confirmed by many before.
Kratos is not weak. But maybe his mind was, which he proved that he could make as strong as his body was, by the end.

based on how the enherjar worked in asgard i dont think you can even consider dying in Valhalla "death" . they returned to asgard immediately after "dying" and freya had to sever their connection to Valhalla for them to die
    think of it like this
you get sent into the matrix and die but your body outside survives and you just go back to it immediately after dying . so he goes in and pretty much just gets knocked out then dropped off outside where he started
it is more than capable of killing him from what we have seen but it didnt get the chance

maybe its because kratos didnt fight those foes in over a thousand years?, and also valhalla probably boosts those enemies to a point where kratos could struggle, he needs to overcome that struggle to come by, just like tyr powers up everytime kratos defeats him

    • @BribofEternalLapis
      @BribofEternalLapis 8 месяцев назад +3

and just because the fight improves his mental, does not mean it does not improve his physical strength, since old kratos basically has a free mind from valhalla, young kratos would struggle significantly

In reality, the enemies that Kratos faces (except Týr) come from his spirit, he sees them much stronger than when they were alive. on top of that, he has, for the most part, remorse for those who appear there, he sees himself as the monster. so it's a psychological blockage that Kratos has. everything happens in a “dream” where you only live thanks to Valhalla.

EXACTLY and that's why I believe Tyr trained Kratos for this reason-also, to expand Kratos' arsenal of abilities without relying on his bread & butter.
Remember how Tyr could use magic/abilities from the Aztec, Greek & Japan? light, blood, darkness, ice, duplication, teleportation all these elements at his disposal.
He created his own versions of those abilities using Norse incantation *exclusive to himself.*
      And so can Kratos.

Valhalla isn't to make Kratos a better fighter, Tyr wanted Kratos to take his place as God of War. The island itself took him back to basics as well game mechanic and we shouldn't look to much into that in all honesty, at least Santa Monica is one of the few studios to explain why heros in sequels start off as "weaker". Tyr invited Kratos to Valhalla to allow Kratos to face his inner demons, sins, past and ultimately his younger self and fully accept his past actions and officially reclaim his throne as a God. That's why we only see Helios, that's the one Greek God Kratos truly regrets killing given how he helped him as Kratos himself has said.
Valhalla didn't make Kratos weak, it will ultimately make him stronger now that he doesn't have anything holding him back or weighing on his mind. When we see Kratos next, it will be an entirely brand new Kratos one who is strong in mind and body, while wise from learning from his mistakes

Kratos is not invincible or invulnerable, he can be killed and as have witnessed in the first games, but his thing is it's nearly impossible for him to stay dead after being killed, as he will do everything to come back from the afterlife/underworld, especially if Atreus's life and safety is at question, and imo each time he comes back from death he will be stronger than he was before.

Kratos felt guilt and remorse after killing her . Also, I don't think Kratos felt anything when he killed Helios
    Why Demios wasn't in Valahala?
Kratos definitely blame himself for his brother's death
Why The Last Spartan wasn't in Valahala?
Kratos literally killed him and The Last Spartan last words for Kratos to avenage Sparta , Kratos must have felt terrible after killing his most loyal servent
Why wasn't Kratos Mother in Valahala?
Although Kratos indirectly killed her but that still counts and Kratos was heart broken after his mother not to mention his greek family and Pandora

I don't believe Kratos is weak and I have a theory on why he is so ridiculously strong
We all know the blades of Chaos activated his demigod powers when he opened Pandora's box he absorbed the power of hope, killed Ares then that power went dormant after being denied release from his nightmares so between losing his mother, Deimos being betrayed by Zeus and all of Sparta getting destroyed by him as a F you to Kratos he was pushed into constant Spartan Rage, which possibly increased his base level strength ,when he went to war with Olympus after he killed all the gods he impaled himself with the blade released hope into what was left of the Greek world but transferred his war god powers back into himself not all of them just the physical powers strength stamina age empowerment and all Corey Barlog stated Norse Kratos could beat Greek Kratos and his main power being his enormous strength on why he was weak in Valhalla he breached the wrong way and was penalized for it he went back to normal when the Valkyries opened the gate for him.

If Kratos viewed his enemy in a very strong and dangerous way, then the enemies will get stronger in Valhalla. Wich is why valhalla isn't about strength it's about the mentality and strategi.
Wich is why Sigrun said this when i was killed by Magni "try to remember the fact that you beat the sons of Thor in real life" And "The sons of Thor are really strong in Valhalla".
And saying that Kratos is weaker than Týr by a dialogue after the mistake that you as the player made dosen't help either. Some dialogue was purely made for gameplay purposes only. If every dialogue is canon in a video game then Atreus asking Kratos what he is doing, when I'M doing combos and such when there is no enemies around, should be taken as canon aswell?.
