Those of us who were around in the 80's loved Larrys playing. Now with the passing of time you realise that it was a golden age of guitar sounds. He got one of the greatest guitar sounds. Such a musical player!

What I admire about this man is that he wasn't up there trying to BLOW PEOPLES HEADS OFF with flashy guitar solos. He has the skills, but he uses them appropriately. Over playing sucks. It seems good at first, but it becomes a nightmare when people over do it. In addition to being one of the best guitarists, Larry knows how great music is supposed to sound. We just aren't seeing Larry Carltons these days. Everyone wants to be God. Thank you for the great music Larry.
You all must watch Casino Lights '99 concert. Larry and Kirk headline that show and it's awesome to see how they grew together as musicians from this concert in 88 to that one in 99.

Just can't get enough of the 70's and 80's music...
Compared to the quality of these times, it now just feels like...

Terry Trotter is phenomenally great here. Just look at Larry's reaction at 12:42. Then he says, "HOLY SHIT!" Great stuff right there!

when you play with larry, you will play well. its how he is.
Thanks Johnny Smith
🤭
That solo Larry Plays to Strikes Twice is better than the solo on the LP. That was AWESOME!
And the signature riff he “borrowed” from Jaguar by Johnny Smith
@dr.krinkleweldon5934 lol I'm still a huge LC fan, but he did rip from Johnny. Prior to you mentioning it, I'd actually never heard of the guy. He was awesome.
@@guitarttimman LC is tops in my book too. We can write it off by saying strikes twice is a tribute to Johnny Smith
@dr.krinkleweldon5934 Yeah, that's true, and I feel the same about LC. He's an amazing guitarist. 👍
45:30 emotions wounded us so
Larry is also a Christian. God blessed this man❤
Great shuffle on strikes twice!
What happened to the audio starting at 28:45??
George Lucas on keys😱
It should be illegal to not list musician credits..
16:32 here we go !
Except that he did 🤷🏻♀️
I think he means Carlton's 'Strike Twice' plagiarized Johnny Smith's "Jaguar." See for yourself: ruclips.net/video/iH2Q77nhKCs/видео.html
