Golden days, we can't forget, the songs and their melody in its, since the year 1950 to 1970.Great singers like Rafi, Lata, Asha bhosle, and Mukesh on those days made us enjoy with those songs with melody. We can' t forget those songs easily, because that songs are mingled with our souls and live with eternal nature. One can' t neglect or avoid its beautiful natural style of singing , acting with their melodious and memorable moments.
The Golden Era of Indian Cinema is just mesmerizing and beyond compare to anything thereafter. The supremely melidioys songs if that era seem to have made with utmost love and is the result of great passion the went into putting this great magical heart winning effect in them
Nice old songs wants to hear again n again. They r memorable n evergreen hits even though they were black n white even in forties there r many evergreen songs actor films. Many nice singers r evergreen.
That happens with most of the movies today, you can't help it but suffer. But you must say that music holds utmost importance even today. Some really great music pieces and composers/directors have come up in recent years. A R Rahman , Amit Trivedi are just a few examples.
Best Singers - Lata Mangeshkar, Md Rafi, Mukesh, Talat Mahmud, Hemant Kumar, Geeta Dutt, Samshed Begam, Asha Boshle, Manna Dey. Best Music Director - Madan Mohan, S D Burman, Shankar Jaikishan, Niushad, Salil Choudhuri, kalyan Ji Anand Ji, Khayam, O P Naiyar, Laxmikant Pyarelal.
To sum it up, the filmmakers from the 50s were intellectuals making films for an intellectual audience. Today the filmmakers are dumb making films for a dumber, rural audience. Financial profit triumphs creative innovation.
In the old movies lot of character, some mystery innocence, and original and typically Indian the songs were meaningful emotions some fun, today's movies while having beautiful stories they are very American and lost the Indian culture and the innocence trying to sell sex, it is so sad.
