Hi! I have a data set which have 2 different column (say order date and shipped date) in the format YYYY-MM. I want to create a master month filter in my tableau dashboard which connects with order date and shipped date. Assuming i have 2 graphs, one shipped date v/s count of some varible And order date v/s count of some variable. So if select one the months in the filter, the data in the graph should change accordingly. Can i include a multi select feature here? Thank you!
I don't think a set is necessary. I would probably tackle that with a parameter. I knew the concept but now watching your video I was thinking that performance wise this should be better than getting same final results with just 'calculated fields;.. right?! ... something to test on my side... but if you already know and want to confirm to me would be great, thanks again for you videos... 😄😁😅

That's great to hear, thanks so much!
Superb 🎉🎉
Thank you, we are glad you found it useful!
This was news to me! 😄
Pretty cool, right?!?
Can we use multi-select sets across different data sources - like we can do with parameters?
Unfortunately, I don't believe so. Parameters are data source independent but Sets are tied to the data source they are created in.

Hi Linus, I'm not sure about the performance! I think it will depend on the use case. I'm curious to hear the results of your test!
