Wow! :) I've been following you on Instagram for a loooong time already. Your artworks was one of the main reasons why I was inspired to experiment on shadows and to enhance my own style in creating characters. I'm so glad to have come across your RUclips channel! I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you for the tutorials that you are posting. You're amazing! I look forward to watching more of your videos
so generous of you to share your know how... I have re entered the art world and it's a beautiful thing , but also helpful to learn from more experienced artists!
Ira, since I began experimenting with water-colour and trying to find my own style, you have been the artist that I look up to the most. Your art is absolutely incredible and I often come here looking for guidance and inspiration. I think you are so sweet, kind and so generous for sharing with strangers your knowledge. I simply can't believe someone doesn't like it when you speak in your videos, and I hope they are not mean to you. Please keep educating and inspiring us. I hope your talent takes you to infinity, and beyond.
Okay I LOVE when you do the cheeks!! Never thought to add a little blue with skin tones, that's very interesting! I know exactly what you mean about not thinking of the process and when people ask me how I do things I'm like UUUHHHHHH I DON'T KNOW hahahaha.
Hi Ira, Just want to say please continue with your tutorials. I can hear it is a struggle for you in English but I am one of the many who really enjoy watching you blend and work the paints. Thank you. Polly
I really enjoy watching these videos as I am at a loss sometimes when mixing skin tones and using some greens and things when doing the same plants and bushland scenes. I love listening to you explain things. I wish you had a course on Domestika or somewhere.
Oh, my God. I don't think my words will do justice, but this video was so so very useful...I've always for the longest time struggled with colouring in general, especially when it came to skin tones...it'd look too vibrant, unnatural, flat, etc etc...but after watching your video, I feel I've understood the colour theory (especially shadows) behind it much better- thank you so much! Your art is beautiful , you're a very talented individual.
This tutorial is great, thanks a lot! 🤗 It's really hard at the beginning to understand what are the best shades for skintones so all your advices are super precious! And by the way, you explain very well! 💕💗
Awesome video as always! Thank you so much for the in depth explanation. Can you please make a video next time of how to put masking fluid into an acrylic marker?
I love all your videos, but this one I found particularly interesting because you can see every step in depth, your explanations were very good! You shouldn't doubt yourself, because everything you said I found useful :) I hope to see more videos soon and it would be great to see some painting in real time, maybe with cuts but watching the colouring in real time can be very useful. Thank you very much for all the tips
Thanks this is very helpful! I haven't tried to illustrate any people in watercolor because I was having trouble mixing colors! The mixes I usually use in oil and acrylic don't work the same when diluted.
i think your style is very sweet :) i like it. i am very new to watercolors and am trying to learn a bit, i will try out your techniques tomorrow. thank you!
OMG! Thank you so much for your tip. I left a comment asking you how did you blended blush so well and you explained everything in this video. I just tried out and it really worked. Thank you so much! Love your painting so much!
Great video. I never thought I could get skin tone with so few colors. I was taught to use many colors. I like your way better. AND your English is fine!!
your girls are beautiful and I love your accent! the beauty in styles is everyone has their own mix of preferences and personally I believe there's no wrong way if you manage to create what you were hoping ... sometimes errors can actually make a piece better! and for that reason they never bother me a lot ... Thanks for sharing!
Danke, total tolles Video!!!!!!! :)
I'm trying to figure out what medium I want to primarily use so I decided to give watercolor another chance (again). I'm still having a tough time but I think I've improved a little, and they're getting slightly less stressful to use haha. Anyways thank you for this, I learn so much from your videos! xD
Thank you for this! I love your videos and they have helped me so much. I was having trouble finding a video for making skin tones in watercolour and this is perfect and explained clearly, just what I needed :) I will very much enjoy watching this video ♡ thank you again!
I really love your arts and tutorials.. it really is great.. and I like the way you add details on your artworks.. thank you for making this tutorial.. ^^
I found this very informative. I always struggle with skin tones. Thanks for the video. I just discovered your channel and I have been watching all your videos. :) You're an amazing artist.
I've learned a different way to do skin but might try your way to see which I like better :) I think the way you did darker skin looks really nice. I'm kinda worried because I use schminke and often use Naples yellow for my skin mix D: I didn't know there was a problem with this color but I don't find my skin mixes to be muddy so not sure.
i really like your video, Ira, especially the 'rose cheek' you always do i need to pracrice it a lot because it always bleed to their forehead haha Thank you for your videos, i like them all
Thank you! That was very helpful; you gave a lot of great advice. I don't think you talk too much so please say anything you think is valuable to share :) I very much enjoy your videos. Please make more!!
Thanks so much for sharing tips. I love you style and your work inspires me to practice more watercolor painting. May I ask the number of polychromos pencil that you use? I have one set but blue color seems too light for lining. Thanks and keep posting more, please!!
Wow! This was great. Thanks for sharing such great tips. Very good job explaining! And you were right, right after you removed the masking fluid, I was like, "What was that? Some type of masking fluid in a marker?!" haha Great video!
+iraville Hi Iraville your work is awesome I love the way you draw and the textures and all, about the masking fluid (it was masking fluid what you said about that blue thing right?), you just take it, with some plastic carefully, right? thanks so much for the tips
I like your energy when you explain and talk about your process. Your illustrations are beautiful.
Ha ha, as soon as I hear your voice I smile. So lovely.

it's really interesting to see just how much the color pales when it dries
Pee your pants, everything gets darker when wet. 😂
You're very honest and down to earth. I art sometimes but I usually follow what I was taught and you've inspired me to go outside the box.
so generous of you to share your know how... I have re entered the art world and it's a beautiful thing , but also helpful to learn from more experienced artists!

me: *Dips the brush in ultramarine blue*
her: "I wouldn't add ultramarine"
me:
Lol
