Cool video, well done ! The wire will show in the footage though ? It's a pity it doesn't have a medium speed mode that matches a man's light jogging pace as well.
Did you do the Firmware update to Wiral Lite Trolley and Remote Control? It's a free update app from iOS or Google App stores. Trolley now can run Ping Pong mode where the trolley travels at set speed between the set digital stops allowing the single operator to concentrate on the camera functions. I am using the DJI Osmo Pocket with its gimbal and getting great results. I like the Mimo App and tracking capabilities as the Wiral Lite trolley does its autonomous movement....I would be cautious about getting the cable tension too high. The OEM spec for cable and for trolley is 90 lbs. The 2.5mm uhmwpe rope is rated considerably higher and is sufficient. Cable sag is in every setup and can be used to an advantage at key focal points of video. I see the issue having low ceiling so looks like the option of steel cable worked but it may impact the longevity reliability of the trolley equipment. It was a great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the update and the tips. We had concerns about longevity as well but thought we’d test it out and see if anything happened. I updated my Wiral and I personally use the ping pong method while doing planned shots but Staley prefers having that control. I’m just not good at doing 2 things at once so I agree with you on that. I’m thinking of buying the upgraded rope and putting it to the test alongside the cable for a future video. Thanks for the comment and sorry it took me a minute to reply back. Busy couple of weeks.
Hola me disculpo no 😔 saver inglés soy de girona Catalunya me ha encantado tu video del rodeo me podrías decir que modelo de cámara con control remoto utilizas gracias thaquiun
Have you had issues with your Wiral motor not responding. Within 5 minutes of using mine, I put my a7sii body on it. It ran about 25ft and died. Did all the firmware updates etc... but not luck.
FYI, the professional SKYCAM and ActionCam cameras use 4 motorized reels of 2.9mm Kevlar cord, each is 2000 feet long and rated at 1,500 pounds, for a total camera rig weight capability of 6,000 pounds! Professional rigging over people's heads requires a phenomenally high safety margin. That's why only Grade 100 chain (Grade 8 bolts don't sound so bad ass now) is allowed to be used in all brands of entertainment chain hoists you see at concerts. This chain won't fail, period. It has been tested, rated, and approved before use. The Kevlar cable is much lighter, and has even less stretch than steel! Amazon sells 50 feet for $20! Not sure about the bailing wire he used there. He added so much stretch there. Always rig right, and use 3 foot or 6 foot GAC (galvanized aircraft cable) rigging slings with steel shackles to secure your load!
@@Rob4Films i use my makita driver on anything like that works brilliant if the chuck is big enough , if not then get a socket on a hex bat that will fit, they go up to 20mm! 3/4 inch...
Is it standard 550 paracord or smaller/weaker? I am waiting for mine in the mail and I might get a spool of paracord since i know some great tensioning knots. Plus, it'll save me $200 CAD from getting the 100M version hahaha
That was totally uncool to not credit you for you showing him 1st. And you had to ask him what he's doing instead of him just telling you. He would never have used that if he didn't hear about it from you.
Thanks so much about the wire. Been trying to find a super long one - but that won't bend. So grateful!!!

Great video with some great tips.
Trying to think of a way to use this for a high school football game. Any ideas?
Possibly from the light poles side to side. We can’t legally hang anything over the field itself.

Will the tighter bend the cable, and if so wouldn’t that mess with the wiral?
Just use a 25mm ratchet strap which works for line tension
Nice video and good info on setup!
Thanks man. Are you and the kids still cranking away on their channel?

I haven’t had this trouble at all. I’ll talk with Staley and see if he’s encountered it with his. Have you talked with customer support?

Thanks for the info. I’ll test it out.
Do you happen to know the brand of the vinyl coated 1/16 cable used? I see all kinds listed online. Thanks! Very helpful video!

just out of curiosity, how did you enable the gimbal controls on the osmo plus from the phone/output monitor?
Osmo let’s you control gimbal from the phone via WiFi automatically enabled through the DJI go app
Do you have a link to the cable and the tensioner??

amigo el mando que usas 15:26 viene con el osmo?? o que usaste !! gracias!!
The osmo is separate from the Wiral.
I was there competing
nice extension, why dont use use a small battery drill to tension and untension it, way faster and easier.
I like that idea. I’m gonna try it out.
