Sarah, You are a true inspiration to other automotive enthusiasts who share a common interest. Your attention to detail and performing tasks until they meet your standards show how dedicated you are to finishing the job. I enjoy your videos and especially your quirky personality make it more entertaining for everyone. I hope you will continue with these projects and look forward to the finished projects so far. Happy Holidays & Wishing you the best New Year to come!

Great content, it's your personality. The cars are an extension of that. The trails of troubleshooting, the victories of fixing it, the journey (don't stop believing) of learning, the cheesy jokes, the innuendos, the joy of driving the cars you have been working on... All of it is you and that is the great content. Keep being awesome and real.

I usually do not like watching too many RUclips videos. Your channel is one of the few I watch EVERY show. YOU.....make the show. You have a great screen presence because your a honest human being. That comes through in the videos. I was a jet mechanic in the Navy and grew up in Detroit where everyone works on their cars. I don't do a lot of mechanical work these days, so you feed a corner of my soul that is no longer active. Thank you for being you and the content you put out. It really is very good and you are appreciated.

G'day, Sarah! Um, that's right, Kemosabe. Nice job! Hope you don't mind... As a nice help, you are doing fine! I love the neat fact, your essentially humble, (meekness or modesty; not arrogant or prideful) and you really care about your work, and it sincerely shows! Thank you so much! Cheers! 😊🌺✌🏼❤️
P.S. “The Lone Ranger! A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty Hi-Yo Silver! …a mysterious character of the early West who brought fear to the lawless and hope to those who wanted to make the land their own.”
When looking back, At that time, few people had televisions, however, the number of television sets in America would increase greatly over the next few years. In the process, Tonto became a household name.
Silverheels’ character was little more than a cultural stereotype. Tonto spoke broken English and always was subservient to the Lone Ranger. But as the first Native actor to play a Native American on television, he really broke new ground.

I started watching because you are easy on the eyes. But then I started to listen to what you were saying and doing and realized you knew a lot more about mechanics than I did (but I'm not a mechanic). I respect people who admit their shortcomings but still aren't afraid to try. Keep up the good work and if someone says you can't do something, the heck with 'em and do your own thing.
    Cheers 👍✌️

Really truly have the faith in yourself you deserve! You've covered so many disciplines of automotive service and restoration in these projects, I feel like we are cut from the same cloth! I started many years ago having been given a wrecked Volvo with a blown head gasket by my Dad who was a WWIi Navy Machinist's mate/aircraft mechanic. I learned all of the things you have shown over the past 35 years on my own daily drivers, but not from doing things right the first time! You've got the drive and the talent to make this happen, so happy to see your videos and the progress you make every week. And on top of it all, you seem really cool.

Pro tips for shooting paint: First, make sure you blow the dust off of everything including yourself and the air line that you will be using. Second, shoot the paint gun onto a scrap piece of cardboard or something to get the coverage and pattern correct before painting the parts. Third, begin with extremely light coats and allow enough time to flash between coats to avoid sags and runs but if you do get sags or runs do not try to wipe them off unless you can wipe the entire part off because you will never get it smooth otherwise. It is far easier to wet sand the run out after it dries than to try to get the paint smooth after wiping a section off in my experience. Fourth, have a "sample" part or section of similar material in the booth and apply the paint the same to this piece so you can touch that part to check the cure and not mess up your actual work. Fifth, drape the air line over your shoulder so that it supports the majority of the hose and keeps it located behind you so that you can concentrate on making sure the hose doesn't bump your parts and finally do not rush the process and make sure that you are well rested before you begin. It might sound funny or stupid but the weight of the spray gun does start to get to you if you keep hammering along and don't allow time to rest. This is of course more for when spraying an entire car but if you are not use to it even an hour of painting can cause discomfort in your arms hands and lower back. And one last nugget, If you have someone that knows how to spray paint see if they can help you get the gun dialed in. Too much air flow can cause excessive over spray and dry spots and too much paint flow will cause sags, runs and other issues and it is important to have the right size tips for the product that you are shooting and they can help you get set up. Once it is dialed in it is a lot easier to lay down paint that looks like glass. Have fun and good luck.

Being an Automotive RUclipsr myself now (thanks to your inspiration) I know how much time it takes to setup cameras, re position cameras, work on lighting, audio and all that little stuff takes time, practice and a lot of mess ups. NOT TO MENTION, the time it takes to do the actual automotive work!

Great to see the breakdown of cost. You’re absolutely correct on many other channels claiming they do their stuff on a budget when in reality they’re fronting a lot of the costs themselves.
Keep this in mind, you never have to apologize to us. You’ve got over 105k official subscribers. Not counting those people who don’t subscribe but still look at the vids. You put in a lot of hard work and the results are worth it. Keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t feel as if you owe us anything. Take your time. There’s no pressure. Great work so far there.
#1 tip; lists! I'm currently building a tube frame based project from scratch using a Toyota 1MZ and it's a HUGE amount of work.More than I bargained for that's for sure. Sometimes I look at it and think it will never ever be done but you just have to stay positive and get your hands on it. I have a big whiteboard on my garage wall and When I'm feeling overwhelmed I take a few minutes to make a list of stuff to do and just get to work crossing things off it. Physically crossing things off a big list makes you feel accomplished and it definitely keeps me motivated.
Sometimes these projects can seem like a huge pile of never ending work but we can't let it get the best of us.

Great video. .....As long as you have the door panel off , oil the links for the door opening mechanisms and check the actuator boxes. They are sometimes working poorly due to rust, binding, spider webs or mouse nests. They are mostly plastic and may be cracked due to heat ( or previous accidents).Just a good inspection while you have the mechanisms open is often good prevention....Ditto with the window regulators....Sorry.....just being OCD , which I know you will identify with.

Trick with body filler.. Dip out the filler in a circle on a flat plastic surface. Once you have the amount you need, whether it's the size of a golf ball or a softball, squeeze out a line of hardener from one side to the other, and turn and spread, turn and spread till you get a uniform color. Never stir, you'll get bubbles. That's it!

keep up the good work Sarah, I find it more relevant and prefer to watch videos on project cars where they are done within a budget.

It is what it is...it takes what it takes. Ive been ground up resto modding 2 Datsun Z cars. Its been 3 yrs. People ask me all the time " when are you going to be finished?" ( like they have been , doing the work!)
Well If I were rich.I could give you a date.
But since I work a full time job and work on them as I have the funds,....they will be finished...when they are finished.
Im also doing everything 2 total ground up restomods.
You must enjoy the journey, thats where alot of the fun is.
You drive it you smile....but in the back of your mind .... Its being used and headed back to hence it came....oh well!
    Great vid always great editing!

I'm no pro painter but i did paint 4 vans and my biggest suprise was that the pros don't actually have it perfect straight out of the gun. Luckly your good at detailing and that helps alot by correcting the faults. I belive in you, just don't take it too hard if you gonna have a run or something.

It's a lot of money in those, and way more work, but it's the price of doing it right and ending up with a good product. Great job so far, and have fun in the booth tomorrow!
What happened to your boots is the only reason I didn't buy one of the new shirts, white doesn't go last long in the shop, and I'm in the shop far too much. Any chance you can easily offer it in gray like the mechanicproblems one?
You made that crimp look way too easy! Guess cutting down the die helped more than I thought it was going to! I think you might have missed the joke with it though.

I appreciate the budget approach. It's easy to get lost and blow a bunch of cash. It's more challenging and (I think) more rewarding to look back and see you didn't spend stupid money. Nice.

If you have the door locks out check the passenger door lock and write that number down. Only place you can get the key code for keys to be made. If you ever need a key cut you will need that number.

You make all of us very happy. The effort you put into the videos shows. Quality not quantity. Be happy doing the stuff you like. If you are looking for the next project car I know where there is a surviver 1990 300zx NA. Only 53K miles.
