    Billy Bob should have won an Oscar for all the talents he used making Slingblade. Writing, acting and directing, etc. Such talent! He needs to be recognized for it!

    That was hands down, the most complete movie I've ever watched. No holes in any of it. It flows like honey and is very believable, like a slice of real life.

    Slingblade is by far one of the most underrated movies ever. Billiy Bob was shear genius. The story was an absolute masterpiece.

    Brilliant screenplay and performance by Thornton. He has the rare ability to elevate any film in which he is present.

    Every character in that movie was great and certainly memorable. This is one of those movies where if I'm flipping channels and see it on its a stop down and I have to watch it. There's not a whole lot of movies that I feel that way about. If you have not seen it then you're missing out on one of the greats.

    The character of Carl is a slow man but also has great depth and insight. Billy Bob Thornton played him perfectly. Such a brilliant performance. 👍👍

    Ed Palmer is my uncle which resides in a local nursing home. He’s lively and a pure soul. Uncle Ed was never living out back and fed like a dog. He had his own home and overcame obstacles related to polio. He loves everyone and I pray the derogatory comment was meant light hearted.

    I was there for that event! It was an amazing experience. I love that film and seeing this discussion and these actors sharing their memories was awesome. Also, at that event I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie on several occasions. A nicer person than you can ever imagine. Of course, have met Billy Bob multiple times; also a great, down-to-earth guy! Love him and love Sling Blade. Love seeing this because it reminds me of just how great a time I had.

That looks like Christine Renee Ward who is a writer and director, although I don't know for sure how she is involved in the movie other than she's the one who played the lady Karl goes on a walk with and who later brings him flowers at his job.

    Caught the movie on cable many years ago and missed the opening credits. At the end credits I was shocked. I had NO IDEA that was Mr. Thornton 🎬

    S.J. White could barely talk, hard to understand and lived in Benton, Arkansas most of his life. From what I heard he passed away of a heart attack a few years ago. Never had a driver's license because he's was unable to drive. If he had to go anywhere somebody to pick him up or he had to ride the bus.

    One of the greatest movies ever made. If you students want to learn about real movie making, check it out or check out any Martin Scorsesse movie. That's movie making, not this Pixar or computer generated bullshit that's out there today.

    I remember Sling Blade somewhat got labeled a Forest Gump knock off when it was first released which was BS and Sling Blade is a far superior movie.
