Billy Bob should have won an Oscar for all the talents he used making Slingblade. Writing, acting and directing, etc. Such talent! He needs to be recognized for it!
Salinger Blaine billy bob thortion moves ok
Rocky?
Well, he did win the Oscar for his screenplay.
And we have a radio show about carl and sling blade, yes he's need a award,, many of them
Slingblade is one of the greatest movies ever made
I agree. It is under acknowledged and under rewarded.
A very entertaining movie, have watched it several times. I hope Billy Bob has been very well compensated for his hard work.
Mmm-hmm.
Yes it is.
I have a notion to second that emotion !
That was hands down, the most complete movie I've ever watched. No holes in any of it. It flows like honey and is very believable, like a slice of real life.
I like the way you review movies, mmhmm.
I would agree, except the kid wasn't the greatest actor. Seemed like he was reciting everything.
Damn I could not have put that any better!
@@Your_Face That is Lucas Black, who later starred in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and NCIS: New Orleans.
@@Your_Face I disagree. He seemed quite authentic.
Sling Blade is an absolute masterpiece. Hands down.
Charlie D
Yessir.
Charlie D - Agreed
Mmmm hmmm.
im a 38 year old grown man, thats had a hard life, but god dam when i watch this film i cry like a little girl
Amen to that !
I love when someone pours their heart into a project and it gets appreciated the way it should.
Dwight Yoakam shoulda won an Oscar. Unbelievable performance.
I always crack up when Doyle just erupts into a freakin' paroxysm following his liquored late-nite jam.....where everyone must get the F$$$ out!!!
best supporting 100%. the scene after band practice is so good.
Slingblade is by far one of the most underrated movies ever. Billiy Bob was shear genius. The story was an absolute masterpiece.
So sad John Ritter died the way he did. So sudden and with no notice. He was a great actor and he'll be missed
Brilliant screenplay and performance by Thornton. He has the rare ability to elevate any film in which he is present.
I’d like to hear more character back story on all of the cast members. Even Doyle’s dysfunctional garage band.
It really is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
I agree 100 per cent !!
Every character in that movie was great and certainly memorable. This is one of those movies where if I'm flipping channels and see it on its a stop down and I have to watch it. There's not a whole lot of movies that I feel that way about. If you have not seen it then you're missing out on one of the greats.
Kids on the internet, please learn to pirate. Turn off your tvs
@@andrewbecker9062 I said what I said.
@@andrewbecker9062 you like watching adverts, being hypnotised, misled, manipulated, I suppose. You think it's crazy to say that chip douglas?
@@andrewbecker9062 that's exactly what the TV wants you to think. Whether you like it or not, it is there to program you and if you think you are above it's influence then it has you right where it wants you.
The character of Carl is a slow man but also has great depth and insight. Billy Bob Thornton played him perfectly. Such a brilliant performance. 👍👍
Best movie of its kind ever. Perfect cast too.
We need a Sling Blade 2: The Harvesting!
wish dwight had been there
Couldn’t be there since he was “hurtin Linda”
Me too !
I wish John Ritter was there :(
This feller kinda looks like me. I like the way he talks.
He like a way yew talk
I kinda like the way Mr. White talked too 🤙🏻🤙🏼
He lives inside of his own heart. That's a awful big place to live in. Mm hmm.
Ed Palmer is my uncle which resides in a local nursing home. He’s lively and a pure soul. Uncle Ed was never living out back and fed like a dog. He had his own home and overcame obstacles related to polio. He loves everyone and I pray the derogatory comment was meant light hearted.
Thank you for sharing!
you are so lying
Nuttier than Karl and probably twice as ugly.
So Billy Bob lied about him. I don't like him anymore
I cannot get enough of the interviews with BBT about his life pre-Hollywood. I love his stories.
it's really cool how all his life experiences helped form that character
Proof that everyone has a story to tell and if you're like BBT you'll work tirelessly to tell the world your incredible tale
I was there for that event! It was an amazing experience. I love that film and seeing this discussion and these actors sharing their memories was awesome. Also, at that event I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie on several occasions. A nicer person than you can ever imagine. Of course, have met Billy Bob multiple times; also a great, down-to-earth guy! Love him and love Sling Blade. Love seeing this because it reminds me of just how great a time I had.
I'm SO jealous! Must have been awesome to have been there. Great to hear Billy Bob is wonderful; I'm sick of him constantly being dissed. Gotta be a huge heart in him to have created Sling Blade...
I like that each person was remembered for a unique trait/story and lived on in 1 person. It's genius (to me, at least).
Best Carl impression I’ve ever heard. Your family are such good sports too.
Billy Bob is a very much under rated actor...Hmmm...
I guess when linda said shes likes fried chicken, biscuits and gravy she wasn't acting!
Here I am 9 years later and no one had the decency to show their appreciation in the form of emojis. Well here ya go: 😂😂😂😂
Your a funny guy. Not funny ha ha.
One of best movies I've ever seen. Bravo to all involved!
Love Billy Bob Thortons story, he is the MAN!
Billy Bob is such a great actor. I honestly think he just made every part of those stories up on the fly during the interview.
No he didn't
Great Movie and filmed in my state even better
I love the movie he's so great in the movie
Lol this movie and joking about it online is actually how I met my husband, he does the sling blade impressions like nobodies business lol. We love this movie it will never get old in our house. One of my favorites
That's not a slingblade reunion, that's Billy Bob Thornton talking, with some people sitting on chairs next to him!
That guy on the left is Lucas Black and that woman is the director
@@waltersmart1824 that woman is Natalie Canerday, who played Linda Wheatley. Billy Bob directed the film.
@@fredzeppelin3969 That doesn't look like Canerday. That looks like Christine Renee Ward who is a writer and director, although I don't know for sure how she is involved in the movie other than she's the one who played the lady Karl goes on a walk with and who later brings him flowers at his job.
@@JamesSmith-jq6om yeah I finally looked at the video description. Hey what a neat little resource. Says right there Natalie Canerday. r/woosh for me.
One of my favorite movies! He’s a pure genius for it.
why the fuck are they laughing that a guy was forced to stay in a shed and was fed like a dog?
Ikr?!? That's terrible😥
I’m your oldest boy, name of Karl.
Cuz the leash got food all over it some of the time when he was fed.
Robert Duvall had a small but great roll ," I ain't got no boy"
Billy Bob Is my favorite!
Love it ! Alpine , glenwood , malvern, and Houston . Small world !
I live Billy Bob he really used to be a hard working man
A GREAT MOVIE. LOVE ❤️ IT
Too bad Dwight Yoakum couldn't have been there, I would have liked to heard his views on the film.
Me too !!
He was drunk and getting mad at that Tuning Son of a Bitch Randy.
That Dole he was Drunk and being mean to folks again lol
@@adampruitt9211 Too much extra gravy from Chicken Champ.
Where's Dwight Yokam...that "tunin son of a bitch" lol
David Hutchinson he couldn't stand midgets, retards, and antique furniture.
Great movie. If Dwight Yoakam wasn’t a country singer, he’d be an abusive alcoholic. Hell, maybe he is. Almost scary how well he played Doyle.
Like him or not......Billy is one Hell of an actor.....he knows his craft....The Goat.
Who doesn't like him
Caught the movie on cable many years ago and missed the opening credits. At the end credits I was shocked. I had NO IDEA that was Mr. Thornton 🎬
That Movie is a masterpiece Period
Dwight Yoakum did the best acting job in human history
One of the best movies EVER!
Thanks to your creative sense of humor mr. Thornton everyone that sounds like sling blade will never be able to assimilate into human society ever again 🤩
Definitely one of my top ten movies.
Stanley James White was from Benton , Arkansas
I would have liked to have seen more . I love that movie 👍
Dwight Yoakam killed it in that movie
I demand a sequel called Kaiser Blade before Billy Bob retires
i love billy bob thornton
2019 and I am watching sling now Christmas morning I love ❤️ this movie....mmmuh this movie I seen in the 1996 when it came out ... great movie
I wanted to hear from the other people. Wish this whole thing was uploaded.
RIP John Ritter.
mustard on them biscuits
Patrick Henry mmmmmhmmmm
Aw the kid looks good...BBT looks good ...
they all seem happy to be there DWIGHT shame on ya not being there...
Leave Dwight alone. He made the movie what it is and has a career and couldn't make it
He seems like a cool dude.
great movie! great actors! great music from these actors.
I had one character in my small town. Guess we all had.
RIP Vic Chesnutt. Favorite scene in the movie was the band getting together.
This movie is timeless. Why it's no longer available I cannot understand.
make sure you check out a film he made with Bill Paxton and, has a little bit of that Sling Blade feel as well
A Simple Plan.
Another great one!
Damn ... Didn't recognize the mom
That's not the mom , she was Karl's gf
chelle roberson that's deff the mom
@@dmal_2229 no that's the girlfriend
I was at this event. The best part was when someone gave Billy Bob a Molly Hatchet 8-track.
Sling blade excellent movie 😁😁👌👌👊
I reckon mmmhhhhmmm
I love this movie.
I love this movie. Billy Bob Thornton looks like Nick Saban. Lucas Black would definitely like a movie with him because he is a Diehard Bama fan.
Umm… Friday Night Lights???
SOMEONE SAID ON HERE WERE IS RITTER WELL I'M SORRY BUT HE PASSED AWAY BY THE TIME THIS REUION HAPPEND
Well now, that's not much of an excuse, now is it?
Billy Bob iconic you should really do a Collab with that other icon Quentin Tarantino it would be epic!!
S.J. White could barely talk, hard to understand and lived in Benton, Arkansas most of his life. From what I heard he passed away of a heart attack a few years ago. Never had a driver's license because he's was unable to drive. If he had to go anywhere somebody to pick him up or he had to ride the bus.
The simple folk.
That's incredibly sad, about them making him live out back in a shack, and feeding him like a Dog :(
Best movie ever !!
RIP Vic Chestnut
John Ritter
JT Walsh
Awesome, thanks for posting!
Where's the full vid?
Went to high school with him.
Me2
Can you make me some biscuits? Mustard is good on em to me
Where is the rest of this video???
Lucas Black lived in my old stomping grounds.
So did I
Rumor has it that the three men he just described still haven't received one dime from Billy Bob.
One of the greatest movies ever made. If you students want to learn about real movie making, check it out or check out any Martin Scorsesse movie. That's movie making, not this Pixar or computer generated bullshit that's out there today.
Luved that movie i reckon?
The part where he calls 911 after he kills Doyle is the most hilarious scene in any movie ever.
How's a fella go about getting hold of the Po-lice mhmm?
"I kilt Doyle Hargraves with a lawn-mower blade."
There was and "Ed Palmer" from Alpine Arkansas who just recently passed away. Does anyone know if this was the same guy he refers to in this clip?
I remember Sling Blade somewhat got labeled a Forest Gump knock off when it was first released which was BS and Sling Blade is a far superior movie.
Whad..ya..keel.Jessi.fir!!!!!!
What was the process or how did you come to choosing Dwight Yoakam as Doyle?
John ritter was my generations Lucille Ball
I kinda liked it but wanted more
Anyone know which show this comes from., please? I’d love to hear from the others who starred in the film, who are sitting there too. Be great. This is so interesting
Guy sitting next to Thorton as well as the audience laughing about the guy with Polio. There sure are some sick evil people in the world.
Funny how such a simple story can be so great. Maybe Michael Bay should watch it.
So any chance of seeing the entire thing?
Where is Deke from Frosty Cream?
Interesting character genius
Made sport of me quite a bit.
