Kurt played simple chord progressions on a fucking fender yet everyone loves nirvana, well the lyrics were great that's the difference. I hate how a band has to meet someone's criteria of "music" . Music is not meant to be a certain way to be considered music. And if you don't want a "simple chord progression song with boring lyrics" then go listen to Metallica or nightwish or some shit like that.

Just to let you know that I still like the "new" Best Coast and still think that Bethany is one of the most incredible band leaders ever. I really like her and all the Best Coast concept. Let's wait for the next album, it can only get better ;)
Aren't the first two songs essentially the same concept? I like the first song though, don't get me wrong. This is the first of the new Best Coast I've heard, so that's what I'm basing it off of. She's neat!
I love this band but they need to work on their live playing. Maybe get a dedicated bass player/drummer who can sing. No backup vocals after having such strong vocals on the album? Kind of depressing.
I feel like their live performances are so awful because they're focused on not making any technical errors that that makes them not good at all. NO FUN NO FUN
