Yes there's quite a few changes since the beta stage, more been added and quite a few quality of life changes to the game play.
Along with more stuff added like more crops, animals (not that you want to do any farming but will need to if you want to up the town rank), the underwater cleanup also improved, and last but not least they also improved the festival events in there benefits in doing the festivals over years, like the tree planting one you get to see the progress your pervious year work.
