OU’s OL will be better than most expect. BB always put lines together, always.
This will lead to better QB play!
Not saying OU will smash this schedule! However, the potential to have a win in any (every) game they play is there!
😮 injuries, conditioning, coaching, preparation, SEC crowds, and so much more will determine a lot.
🤦🏻♀️ if you think the opponents aren’t serious about OU 🤷♀️ look at how many bi-weeks are scheduled before OU. 😮

When you talk about the schedule and you said OU must have pissed someone off, that's probably true. The sec is espn and espn has been dumping on OU since Bob Stoops. If you haven't noticed espn is the major controlling force in college football.
I live in Georgia now and met someone who told me that OU might get 6 wins…and he emphasized the word “might.”
Seems like a lot of people here feel that way. If that’s the attitude of most of the SEC then OU will probably surprise a lot of people.
I will definitely be surprised is OU has less than 4 losses. Not trying to trash talk ya or anything like that. WE are looking forward to having OU & TX in the conference. Struggles last season against inferior talented teams stood out to me. OU recruits top 10 every year and their 3rd and 4th strings could start immediately at teams like Kansas or UCF. There is some room for improvement and BV is a good defensive mind. Can he coach on the big stage and compete remains to be seen. I'm looking forward to traveling to Norman this season hopefully to see Bama and OU play. Wish you all the best of luck and welcome in!!!
@__B--MAN__ Most OU fans don't think they are coming into the conference and dominating year one. But they won't be a team to sleep on either. The majority of the problem fans have is with Texas being rated so high.

Rebuilding the Oline n Dline is exactly what OU needed. 6 deep is key in the Trench’s from now on. BV is not just recruiting Stars ⭐️ but a Scheme / System that will work. Best Defense OU has had in 10 years.
The defense isn't our problem for once..amd that's the problem. We have NEVER had an offense problem and here we are..no offensive line, and a QB who thinks he's still playing high-school ball and is way over his head. Hate me if you want ( all of my fellow sooner fans do) but we will likely win 6 to 7 games at best.
@@soonernation37 This is JA first year as a starting QB so we will see very quickly how he Progresses. Yes, we have new stars on the Oline that is unpredictable how long it will take for them to gel, but this is not BB’s first Rodeo n I suspect vast improvement by week 4. The Defense as you pointed out is Very Strong 💪 this year , which should be the X factor in giving JA n company all the momentum they need. I live in South Carolina and know full well what the SEC holds for them. Call me an optimist but I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

@servantotmhg9568 man, we just can't compete with these guys. I hate to be a Debby downer but we have been used to watching Oklahoma struggle with the worst teams in the country. We are in big trouble here. Especially with our QB. I have some weird 6th sense with these players man lol..ive been right for years and my family hates it. This guy is a flop and I promise you we will be lucky to get 6 games. And that's sad because our defense looks good.
Texas changed to the quick pass game after the de line man handled the texas o line... there was no problem getting rush.. like coach said teams went with the quick passing game
QB play will always have high expectations at OU, with that being said I’m sure most QB recruits that consider OU as their school knows that going in

Here's a new idea for a podcast title. I've heard, "Are they(OU) ready for a year now. I suspect they're more ready than many believe. We won't know until the games are played. Evidently, Castiglione and the Oklahoma board of regents think so with Venables' new contract extension announced earlier today. 6 yrs 46 million.

I hear ya...temple, tulane, houston and especially the juggernaut that is maine is pretty brutal. But then again, that is who yall solicited to play.
I see a lot of talk about how much tougher the SEC is over everyone else week-in and week-out. I just do not buy it. Statistically, the Big 12 has had the highest scoring dog fight games week in and week out. I am not saying that the big 12 is the best conference at all. I am not saying OU is the best team this year and would be very happy with OU going 9-3. I am just saying, the defense will not have as many high pressure defensive battles against high scoring offences week-in and week-out. It was as-if those big 12 defenses are playing 2 games in one in terms of offensive plays against? Something that the SEC for sure cannot say and are probably 4th on the list of all of the conferences? What if it is a welcomed change for OU to not have to be in a dog fight aerial battle every week and they end up doing very well due to their past experience from the Big 12? I just think that there needs to be a wait and see attitude instead of the pretentious, we are the best attitude that most SEC fans have over other conferences. Note that I am also an OU fan and we are joining the conference.

@@armandchargois5733 if anyone should be embarrassed it should be Texas, shows that they can't recruit and develop their players. Maybe your attitude is why so many of the great Texas players come to Oklahoma. A little humbleness would go a long way, especially when Texas hasn't won anything for a long time, save last year.
