Acrylic Pouring Swipe Technique: Discover the Magic of Flowing, Marbled Art!

- Welcome to the world of acrylic pouring! In this video, we will be exploring the swipe technique, a popular method for creating stunning artworks using acrylic paints.
First, let's talk about what the swipe technique is. This technique involves applying a layer of paint onto a surface, and then using a tool (such as a credit card or palette knife) to swipe or drag the paint across the surface, creating a flowing, marbled effect.
To begin the process, you will need to gather your materials. This includes acrylic paints, a pouring medium, a surface to pour onto (such as canvas or wood), and any other tools or materials you may want to use (such as silicone or glitter).
Once you have all of your materials ready, you can start mixing your paints. You can create a variety of different color combinations by mixing different shades of paint together. You can also add in other elements, such as silicone or glitter, to create interesting texture and effects.
Once your paints are mixed and ready to go, you can begin the pouring process. You can pour the paints directly onto the surface, or you can use a tool like a palette knife or spatula to spread the paints around. Once the paints are in place, you can use a tool like a credit card or palette knife to swipe or drag the paints across the surface, creating a flowing, marbled effect.
As you create your swipe technique artwork, you will undoubtedly be driven by your passions as an artist. Whether it's the love of color and texture, the desire to create something beautiful, or the joy of experimenting with different techniques, your passions will guide and inspire your art.
We hope this video has given you a sense of the process and passions involved in acrylic pouring swipe technique. Happy creating!

It must be swipe season! I realized too that I hadn't done one in a long long time so I did interference colors on deep navy and one on deep green. So fun and such beautiful results!
From Maine originally but viewing from Las Vegas.
Mine retained its cellular structure when dry which is why I swipe with unicorn spit instead of silicone or prestain wood conditioner now.
Incredible results, absolutely gorgeous 😍💙 watching from Montpelier, Ohio😀
I love this. The colors and cells are awesome
Thank you so much!
Love watching your videos. So talented, so calming.
Watching from dayton ohio! 5:43
Hey😀 Greetings from germany.
so did you only put silicone in the black, and btw you do amazing work, it always comes out unique and beautiful. Art relaxes me, even if Im not the best at it, I try, others say Im good, but I dont feel that way, I think we all feel nervous and unsure sometimes about our pieces. Yours always seem to come out great, so no need to be nervous, you know what you are doing, and it shows, me, not so much! Lots of love to you all
From Montrose, Michigan....love watching you videos & how you approach fluid pour paintings especially your geode paintings. Look forward to seeing more. ☺️
From Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.
Have you ever tried plwcing your canvas onto a platform that can be vibrated with sound waves? A speaker would work reasonably well but anything that causes vibration on a high level will work, you can get creative with that yourself and find various things thst will serve that purpose. Heavy vibration, concentrated vibration particularly, might yield some results that will surprise you. Maybe even your favorite song to cause the vibration to add a little extra umph to the final result/meaning for you.
The beautiful Pacific NW. SW Washington State. 46 degrees Freiheit.

Just a lil tip for you when doing a rainbow 🌈 piece. Follow the lil cheater ROY G BIV to get the correct order of a rainbow. RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO, VIOLET. I think most kids, at some point... in elementary school...have an art teacher that teaches us that lil trick. 🌈 Look even the lil emoji rainbow is true to that order!!!! lol 😂
Very nice swipe J!!
