Mr. J Mo, I send you this message from my heart. I watch your videos and I must say that it brings a quiet peace to my soul. I have bought paints, canvas and many other things to get started, BUT as of yet I have not started. For some reason, I am afraid that I will mess it up. I think that it goes straight to the issues that I struggle with in life, excepting myself, my weaknesses, imperfections....maybe it sounds trivial, strange to y'all. Logically, I know what to say to myself, but lately my emotionally side is leading me. I want to thank you for opening up a bit it put a smile in my soul and brought a ray of hope to me. I forget that saying, Life imitating art or art imitating life, but I really can see how true that is. Just thinking about the fact that I am afraid to start because I will fail. Everything about painting is a mirror of my struggles. How to love yourself with everything that the LORD HAS GIVEN YOU!!! When I look at something ...what will I see first the imperfections of the painting or the complete work of art as a beautiful collage of cascading colors that put out energy of happiness...so here's to the day when I finally break the ice and pour out my soul on a canvas and NOT see that air bubble that might annoy me or will I see me and celebrate that fact that I woke up this morning and was given the gift of another day to bring happiness into the world and maybe make someone smile. Thank you for your videos, your kindness, openness and just being you!!!I hope one day to over come this difficult time in my life. With blessings to you and all of your viewers!!!

I started doing this for therapeutic reasons suffering from mental illness however patience and failing can set you back but still trying different methods and watching lots of videos which led to me spending way too much money trying to achieve these beautiful ones and believe many folks lie here so thanks for your honesty simplicity and showing how to on a budget

I'm a fan of "cheap stuff". Lol. I've been a self taught artist all my life. Most of what I know now is from utube. I could never afford classes or the expensive products that so many beautiful artists use. Like I said I'm a fan of the cheap stuff n will tweek everything until I'm happy with the results. Most of what I've learned with acrylic pouring which I've only been doing 5 years is from watching ur videos! I have only ever used the cheap craft paints n I can say I've never had a problem using them. At 1st I had alot of cracking but ur videos helped. Thank u so much for all u have taught me!!

It's gorgeous Johnny, love the colors you chose.
Those are the paints I started out with. Love the Folk Art paints the most and still use them a lot.
FYI for budget hunters: Hobby Lobby has them too and usually if they are advertising their 70 to 90% clearance the craft paints might be/usually are on sale or they may have Master's Touch on clearance (regular $6.99 at $1.49 for a 4.1 oz tube). Last time I went they had Anita's craft paints (another good brand) at 73 cents for their 2 oz bottle. Folk Art was $1.17 for the 2 oz bottle.
The Jot clear glue at Dollar Tree also works as a good medium. Their acrylic paints are decent too for someone just starting out and they have 8x10 canvases. Sargent Art acrylic paints at Walmart are also budget friendly, use those a lot too.

Radical! Such a gorgeous explosion of color! I started my fluid art journey to help me through a traumatic knee injury and the depression that ensued. I'm a very busy diy renovator and I've never been knocked out of the game before. It was devastating. Fluid art taught me so much about myself. I can appreciate wanting to keep things positive, you have to cuz theres no where to go from the bottom but up! Thank you!

Very pretty! I love pouring but I am on a very limited income so I have always had to use the cheaper acrylic paints. There are many range of colors at Wal-Mart and it's good that those of us who have to watch our pennies can still have fun and cover our walls with crazy abstracts and pours! I am glad you have found this way of dealing with all the mountains and valleys of life. I use crafts along with my deep faith in God and that combination makes for a joyful life even when the bad things slam into me.

I've done many different kind of crafts over the years and love being creative. I've never thought of it as therapeutic but having lost my beloved husband this last April to cancer I'm feeling the need for some creative therapy and this looks like something I could really get into. Plus if I could monetize it it would be a great help to my income that since I'm retired and my husband has passed has been cut more than in half.

Beautiful colors and I am obsessed with how many cells u get! My heart feels u and what it took for u to get to this place of peace. God has taken your ashes and turned them into beauty. May God continue to bless u and use u to bring others peace and light. Thank u for ur service.🥰

Sweet! Try Dawn dish liquid, too. Glue All, Dawn, water, paint was my first mixture for pouring medium and still go to it semi regularly, even though I have silicone now, and Floetrol, and wood conditioner. I can't afford better paints either, only Amsterdam in titanium and a black one. All my other works are with the other mixtures.

I've been making pyrogrphy for the past 8 years, photography for the past 20 years, I enjoy it very much and it keeps me busy. I also make other crafts, 2 year ago I started to watch videos about pouring. I made a few pieces and I enjoy it so much. I'm definitely going to continue with all my hobbies. J mo, continue creating beautiful art. 😊

I think the amazing paintings you do are gorgeous and your genuine kindness, caring and precious spirit to help those that are in need of reassurance make you that 1special person that people feel they can reach out to. I just want to say Thank You For The Sacrifices You Made For People You Don't Even Know but You Were Willing To Make Sure They Were Safe.. I just want to tell you, you have no idea how much you have helped me by reassuring that everything will be ok.
May God Bless You and Always Keep You Safe 🙏

This is what’s happening to mine. The different brands consistencies and trying to mix them as close as possible are drying at different times. This is stunning and you haven’t finished yet. I’m gonna def emulate the color combo. So smart to use a cookie cutter!!!

Hi J Mo, I am doing well. Thanks for asking. How are you doing? I saw another one of your videos where you shared the ups and downs of your life. I appreciate just how raw your feelings and emotions are and have been during this journey. Thank you for your service to your country. Service men and women don't get enough recognition for their service. I too find painting to be a joy, when it turns out 😂 but that's the ups and downs of being creative. What type of work do you do, now that you've left the army? I love your work, J Mo, and look forward to seeing more of your creations. With love from, Gina Mac of Queensland, Australia. 😊🙏❤️🇦🇺🐨🎨

I appreciate you doing this with cheaper paint. I have been wanting to try this, but the expense of the various paints has made me hesitate. Now I feel that, as a novice, I can give this a try. Thank you!!

I never realized that I started artwork when I needed an escape from the constant trauma during and following DV… I wish I could give you a big hug and make it all better. You’re such a beautiful man I love your voice and you’re so handsome and you really bring peace and inspiration to my life and for that I’ll forever be grateful. Great job being brave! I find nothing else sexier in a man that’s willing to be vulnerable and open up about his feelings and I’m sure many people would agree with me. Keep thriving baby u got this 💪🏽

It’s nice to see you enjoying the pour paint.
I bet your painting to let your feelings come out.
You paint with a lot of feelings.
You can use oil, dish soap, DW40 oil, alcohol.
