Silent air compressor review

- Here is a quick review of the D KIEI 50ltr air compressor, I cover some of its features and my thoughts on it. Hope it helps others on deciding whether it is suitable for them or not.
Great review and video. Just bought one of these and the 'instruction manual' is rubbish! I switched on the compressor and watched the pressure gauge almost reach the red zone, panicked and switched off. Internet search and your video showed where the auto point is - so pleased 'cos the prospect of sending this back to the supplier was daunting. Thanks very much!😀👍
Really glad it was helpful for you Andrew, I've had no issues with mine yet, they are fantastic little compressors. All the best, Rob. 👍
Hi Rob
Thanks for quick reply I’ve bought one now and yes it is very quiet so we’ll pleased so far I’m just waiting for a nail gun I’ve ordered and when I’ve tried it I’ll let you know how it goes if you’re interested
Regards John
Yes wouldn't mind finding out how you get on cheers 👍
Hi I’ve used my new nailer with the compressor and it works great well please
Regards John
@@johnellis8271 cheers John that's handy to know 👍
@@Hammerandhilt
No worries thanks again for doing the video
Regards John
great video well explained thanks
Hi, does this compressor run off a standard 13amp UK plug? Thanks for the review.
Yes just your standard UK 13amp plug 👍
thanks for the video, it looks almost exactly the same as my hyundai...have you had any issues?
Only issue I has was the blow off valve sticking but it wasn't really an issue, I just worked it a few times and gave it a bit of oil and it hasn't been an problem since. Great piece of kit for the money.
Good video mate, thanks for sharing your opinion. I couldn't find any other videos, and I have just bought one of these! 👍👍
No problem, I forgot to mention the drain plug at the bottom. Worth draining the tank every now and then to remove any build up of moisture in the line. Equally worth getting a water trap for the line. 👍
No problem mate, thanks again. Yes, I have had compressors in the past, and I agree that the moisture should be drained regularly!👍 The idea of a catch tank on the output would be really beneficial! I may look into one that will fit in-line.
Looking forward to an update on this compressor. These videos are like gold dust - especially from the UK! Keep it up pal. 😎👌🍻🍻
@@RSCOZZY Cheers bud appreciate it.
Received my compressor today, and you certainly were not lying when you said it is much quieter than the sound on the video!! Wow, it is SUPER quiet!! And seems to be working fantastically! Nice amount of power, the connections don't leak, and the gauges seem to be very accurate, both tank pressure and output. Best of all is it is so very quiet and quick to fill. We have tried it using a wheel nut gun, and the motors seem to provide enough pressure to carry on using the gun once they kick in - which is great!!!
Thanks again for the really accurate video review mate. I look forward to seeing how we get on further down the line.
👍👍🍻🍻
@@RSCOZZY Cheers bud that means a great deal. Glad to hear you are happy with the compressor. I'm made up with mine.
Nice review, thanks for sharing. Any idea what CFM's the compressor outputs? You mentioned a die grinder in the video, have you ran one on the compressor yet and if so how did it handle it? Could it keep up?
Thanks
Hi apologies ive only just come across this message, it puts out around 9.6 CMF my previous compressor was a very loud 3hp 50ltr tank also that put out around 15 CFM and to be honest I haven't noticed a great deal in the difference between them other than the reduced noise level. I have ran a die grinder from it but due to the size of the tank the pump was pretty much continuously running. It would be fine for light use but if you are looking to use it for a professional setup maybe a larger tank would be more suitable.
Hope this helps.
Where you purchase. i would like one
What are the dimensions of it (total H x D x W)? I am planning to get one in the coming weeks but am currently in the process of building a compressor shed so it would be good to know the actual size.
Rough dimensions are as follows, height: 600mm, depth:400mm, length: 700mm hope this helps 👍 obviously make it with ample room to fit the air hose and any extra attachments you wish to install.
Hi are you still liking your D KIEI COMPRESSOR does it work with nail gun and if so does it work well kind regards John
Hi yes still very happy with it, can't say regarding the nail gun sorry as I haven't used it to operate one.
Hi mate , thanks for the video was very helpful.
I’m thinking to buy this compressor and was wondering what attachments would you recommend me to get for cleaning . I don’t know much about it and would like to use this to clean my rc cars .
Cheers, I'd recommend buying a hose, a pack of male and female quick release air connectors with a blow off gun. This should be idea for cleaning the RC cars off as you can regulate the air flow and turn it down so that you don't damage any of the components. You can usually buy a kit on eBay with the basic attachments as a set.
Hope this helps 👍
@@Hammerandhilt thanks dude really appreciate your help 😎
@@AdrenalineAshRC No problem, hope the info helps you out a bit. 👍
Hi rob i only have a small 5ltr hobby compressor and really need a bigger one how have you got on with it thanks
Hi Roy, it's been great in all honesty. Still going strong and hasn't missed a beat. I'd definitely recommend it for the price. 👍
Where you phurchase? Thanks
Hi Nuno, I bought this through eBay 👍
@@Hammerandhilt Thanks best Regards
Hi, Has it been working yet? Has it had any mistake from 2020. jún. 16? Thanks your response. (I want to buy one...)
Hey no issues with it and I'm still very happy with my purchase 👍
@@Hammerandhilt 👍
Should be fine for a spray gun? low pressure 2bar (30psi) and the noise difference is massive. Maybe a LVLP Spray Gun would suffice? and not a HVLP? Great informative video, thanks mate!
Yes should be fine with that sort of pressure, it's a great little compressor and the noise makes all the difference. 👍
@@Hammerandhilt Cheers mate, great help and thanks for the advice, I will certainly be investing in one very soon!
@@gazsto9510 no problem, one thing I forgot to mention in the video is to remember to drain the tank every couple of weeks due to moisture building up inside it. There's a little brass plug on the base just unwind it when the compressor is empty to let any excess water drain out. A moister catcher wouldn't go a miss either where you connect the hose if you plan on paint spraying. 👍
@@Hammerandhilt Thanks again, yeah I have a moisture capture attached to the gun I use and I decided to just order a compressor today, as I am very impressed with the quiteness. My old one is very noisey and I will be pleased to have something more quieter tbh. Much appreciated mate for your time and took note about the tap underneath and the condensation. 👍
@@gazsto9510 Hey mate, I am looking to get a compressor for my spray gun aswell. Did you end up buying it and if has it been good + quiet?
I'll ask again, how long do you think it will take you to finish your traction engine?
Hi sorry I must have missed your first comment, it's hard to say as I am tackling it between other projects and work. I'd like to have it completed within the next couple of years but if it takes longer so be it. Id imagine once completed I will keep modifying it and improving on it where possible.
@@Hammerandhilt I remember my dad telling me he was making parts for something similar, a steam train for his boss, it took years for his boss to finish it...he sold it, this green one may be it ruclips.net/video/th_9D5PV-8w/видео.html br
@@groovyt8695 Those are some impressive machines, hopefully I am able to complete mine and eventually see it running one day.
@@Hammerandhilt Have you complete, tried and test drawings for it or are you making it up a bit, as you go along?
@@groovyt8695 working loosly from drawings for a simplified model, I have a friend who maintains and repairs full scale engines for his full-time job that is helping me along the way.
there is no silent compressor they all breach the peace 😁✌
Did you get the tubes that push-fit into the intakes of the air filters? They quieten down the noise further, see here: ruclips.net/video/9KTGU7LtRGk/видео.html
Cheers I will check this out 👍
