- The acoustic rendition we never knew we needed. This beautifully showcases how talented the guys in Electric Callboy really are, as they turn their latest hit "Pump It" into basically a completely new version. In this video we talk about the acoustics being used, the location where this was filmed, how good the vocals sound together, and how it's sometimes smart to leave out certain lyrics...

These guys are changing the whole metal rock scene, and I love how they’re super talented metal artists that don’t take themselves so seriously. It’s so refreshing in this genre we love so much.
“talented musicians not taking themselves seriously” is like 75% of metal subgenres, I’d say everything but black and prog metal.
I'd say it's way less of a percentage than that. Some bands take themselves WAY too seriously.
The great thing about Eskimo Callboy is that they take their music seriously, but don't take themselves seriously at all, which is a perfect combo.
Have you listened to their unofficial song “Welcome to Raveland”? They produced it in a pretty short time as a challenge in an interview. Just search for it, someone cut it out ☺️
He should watch the whole "Interview-sound-collecting-and-make-a-song-out-of-it-thing" Its so impressiv.
It's just a great show concept. Very fun to see the various bands running around collecting sounds and creating a song from them. Shows a bit of their creation process and how they think and come up with stuff. Most of the bands are probably not known to Tank and i can't recall if they have english captions, but it would be nice to see him look into it. EC's raveland was great and so was Deichkind's episode imo.
Probably you want to take a look at this one from 2017. ruclips.net/video/UI0acjlW8K0/видео.html
Sure it's only sushi but I like the sound. Have fun and see you at the next vid! Ehre alla
I haven't seen the full interview and how they did it, but I watched the video and loved it.
You're so supportive and enthusiastic - Eskimo Callboy couldn't wish for someone who promotes their music better than you do 💝
yeah they probably pay him
@@ericmosh probably... but good job!
lololololol. They have never given me anything monetary outside of me monetizing my reaction videos.
@@TankTheTech even better 😊
@@TankTheTech Knowing that you about a month and a half later, actually got employed by them for the US Tour makes this comment kind of funny, but still awesome.
the harmonies are so good between Nico and Kevin in this
They both sing and scream so well together. Perfect support without stepping on toes.
I see that time and time again that metal musicians are really talented. That they have no problem changing Genres and still rocking it. EC is a prime example for this.
From that image alone everybody basically knows that you loved it. Which is no surprise because these guys are just fantastic.
und ich liebe dein Tool Thumbnail ;-)
Their musicianship is off the chart. Nico's voice is just beautiful. Let's not ignore Kev's clean vocal accompaniment/harmonies.
Eskimo Callboy once again proving, just because you have fun doesn't mean you're not insanely talented
This song got the Prism treatment!
While the original was great the acoustic version just takes it to a whole new level!
See that guitar guy on the right? I don't know too much about the band, but i have seen some stuff by now. My theory is that he is an absolute genius when it comes to arranging/composing/recording and producing. He is the mastermind.
Daniel? Yes.
if theres one thing i love, its beautiful vocal harmonies, so this is my heaven
OMG. That was AMAZING! Such beautiful voices. It always amazes me that these singers have stellar, melodic voices and can scream like demons!
@tankthetech. I think you have to check the acustic version of "Prism" - (Eskimo Callboy - Prism (acoustic version) - taken from "RADIO BOB! - Ein Tag für die Festivalhelden")
We absolutely love these guys! They freaking ROCK even acoustic‼
It takes a skilled artist to do multiple genres, it takes really impressive and incredible artists to do the same freaking song in different genres, and make it just as good! Dang those dudes got skills!
Your channel is the reason I found this band, and I couldn't be happier
I love this so much. It's legitimately a different song, or at the very least a massively reimagined version. Thanks for doing this one, Tank. As always, a pleasure.
Crazy talented guys and the best thing to happen to music EVER!
Yeah, it's really VERY impressive how they turned such an energetic song into a calm and sweet acoustic version!) Absolutely love it!♥️
Haha I love this so much, smile from ear to ear. Love these guys!
Ahhhhhh, yes. EC definitely Pump It with the Acoustic version. They really are putting in a new effort into this album. It's going to be sick when it finally drops man. 🤘🏻🇺🇸
I am so happy you reacted to this! I am absolutely addicted to the acoustic Version and your my favorite reaction channel
ein Lobeshymne für diese tolle Akustik Version . Thank you Tank
Would also love to hear your reaction for acoustic Sabaton "Christmas Truce."
He did, 2 months ago.
@@themplar the acoustic version came out on Christmas. Live from Sweden. He couldn't have done it 2 months ago.
@@NYMetsNo1 ah ok never knew there was an accoustic version.
@@NYMetsNo1 and read over the word i see ^^
I am glad you checked out this version. I am not an acoustic fan but the energy took me over.
Take a minute to think of how expertly this is produced
fantastic, thx a lot Tank :-x we all love this f&%king band :D
I agree. When you really just listen to the music you start to notice their talent even more. In the beginning I was just laughing my ass off to their videos (and still do). 😄🤘🏻
Sidenote: that Kid of Darkness mask looks sooo freakin good in the background! 🔥
I enjoy this version of Pump It and Tank you have to check out Welcome To Raveland which is another song that EC did and they also went through creative process of making the song
I was well aware that Kewin can also sing quietly, but it surprised me. I really like the version too.
Tank tomorow they release their new song. Spaceman. Damn im hyped
got into them through one of your reactions T, and haven't looked back.. these guys are literally *Dripping* with talent & creativity.. and agree with your comment, Nico and Kevin are like a "Schnitzel" version of Simon & Garfunkel O.o
This reminds me of the acoustic version of Ghule/Zombie Queen by Ghost in the sense that they are not only a cover but a complete reimagination, those could actually have been 2 different songs. I think that feeling is stronger with this one though.
Great video, thank you for showing! I didn't notice, that this video was uploaded by EC.
And now:
Make new experiences with other music:
Alligatoah - Nachbeben. But please get the lyrics before.
Alligatoah is one of the most talented singer with Rap influences, i know. Literally on point and really high quality. Sounds and songs compinated with high class double meanings and art. I really love music by Alligatoah, like music by Rammstein. It's a different music, but literally and the way of art is comporable.
Smokahontas by the ending talk hits me right into my teen years! Great video!
Really love your reaction videos cause you found a way to make it different than the others. Love those little facts und explanations. Found yout Videos cause of EC and love them!
Keep on going =)
First time I liked before watching, but seeing your top comment on the original video, knew it had to be great!
Great reaction. Many thanks. Always a pleasure to listen to EC and to listen to YOU🤘🎸🎤
Thanks Tank! - I like this acoustic version too! And once again so damn catchy. It's sound just fantastic.
There is a symphonic metal band from germany called Beyond the Black with their own songs. But in 2020 they had a bet with the founder of Wacken Open Air where they recorded 4 acoustic covers of metal songs from other bands within 48 hours and then uploaded the videos to RUclips one song every Sunday before Christmas 2020. It also became an EP, might be something for you to check out
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. It´s like a fucking great music lesson watching your videos. You are the best! Stay safe and all the best to you and your lovely family.
I’m right there with you. Mad respect. These are very talented young men. Using discretion is a tell tale sign..
I saw this 2 weeks ago, thinking how are they gonna pull this off, but they did 💯🔥
Hi! Thank you for responding to our request.. A wonderful, amazing performance by Diana. This is a musical masterpiece!!! To tears and goosebumps!!! Bravo, Diana. We are waiting for the continuation!!! Diana has something else to surprise you with. Make a reaction to the songs of a Personal Jesus, Human, Wicked Game. Thanks in advance.
Diana Ankudinova 😊👍👍🔥🔥🔥💥💥💥🎉🎉🎉💫💫💫💯
Diana is the best thing I've ever heard in my life 😍 One of the most unique voices on our planet🤯
Diana Ankudinova is an amazing singer, her voice fascinates!
Diana has a unique voice 👍🔥👏
I'm so confused about these comments.
I love turning metal songs to country to kinda make a dark country song it’s awesome
We’re not worthy! This is a great version of the song Pump it 🤘💥🔥🤘
Nico's voice has a real 'Beatles' quality to it here.
Similar sentiment to Justin Hawkins' (Darkness) review/reaction of Pump It, whose point was to make fun of something you have to be quite good at that something and those guys are. Now, Justin Hawkins doing an Eskimo Callboys reaction video and loving it backs up your other point about their potential to blow up beyond their core audience... He called them the savior of metalcore, a cure for taking itself too seriously )))
Great reaction. Thanks Tank.
Dude i love your reactions
You made my Day again thank you
Hey tank...Btw there 2 more versions of 'pump it'. One by Velvet (what is in a 80s synti style) and one by harris & ford (what is more techno style). They are also released at the EC channel. I think the Velvet one you would like too.
I prefer the Velvet version to the Acoustic one despite having a thing for Acoustic setups.
Just had a random moment of inspiration. You've mentioned before that you play bass. It would be awesome if you did a Bass 101 series of videos for people who want to learn how to play bass guitar.
I like this country acoustic stuff, that's exactly my thing.
Bro, that’s a nice beard. Also, love the STP mask in the back.
🤘🤘🤘
This is actually an acoustic version of the Pump It "Velvet Remix"
awesome. i love them so much!
I just discovered, how to see if you "love" a song:
When you "love" a song, it seems like you would cry in a moment. Or let us just say your eyes are shining.
My wife told just told me, I'm the same. :) When a song is damn good, it looks like i will cry any moment. [:=
You can also tell how much he likes a song by how fast his hat comes off and how intense the headbanging is! Tank we read you like a book brother! Keep up, "Metal," God's work!
It took me by surprise too the first time I heard this, and I loved it. This guys are something else.
Btw, Tank, and changing the subject a little. There's new music by Amorphis, they released a new video some weeks ago, it's called "The Moon", don't know if you already checked it out, just letting you know. Have a great day, Man.
I've heard it and I love it!
Oh, nice. It Is really a beautiful song.
wow...is there anything they cannot do?. I am glad you decided to do the reaction :) By the way, your outro is still the same but I thought dislikes where removed from youtube?
Dislikes aren't available to the public, but creators still see them in their analytics.
Awesome Video again, great Job ! 🤟🤙
Tank you have to have to have to her their acoustic "prism" I am now convinced that ec can play whatever the hell they want much like Devin Townsend. I heard this and this is a beautiful acoustic version and I think you may love this song as well
man, fcking hell, they CAN SING SO GUD
Very versatile musicians and creativity is the first word that comes to mind to describe this guys. Harmonies of the two voices are top notch!
Hey Tank is it in your horizon to react to Fit For an Autopsy new single : Two Towers? You would like that one also since you enjoyed so much Whitechapel’s Kin.
I'm gonna try my hardest to fit that one in if I can!
Whas Awsome . Chanced the song to a feel song❤️
Welcome to raveland is pretty good too they made it for like an interview thing
Not normally my kinda jam, but they sounded amazing.
unbelievable what kind of run the guys have. whatever they do is fine. I think after the ESC, Germany will have a really big fish in the pond again after the Scorpions or Rammstein.
you looked so happy listening to that
I was. Haha
I loved that so amazing 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶😉
And now he is Tour Managing them. So this aged pretty well.
"Welcome to Raveland". Short but double sweet.
Do Destroyer Paranoya with Mustasch! You’re in for laughs and headbanging with a cool twist of Queen 🤘🤘
they left it out 😂 ... they probably have to change that part of the original for eurovision too
That bridge reminded me of Backstreet Boys :D
If you're ever thinking of selling that Warwick Thumb let me know!🤣
Well I think with this version even the last critic should be convinced that the guys can really do something musically, but I don't think they have to prove anything anymore!
Please do something from Fit For An Autopsy 🙏 The new songs are just insane!
youtube says this video from 56 min ago, but there are comments from day ago and 4 hrs ago yet im pretty sure i already saw this video. I am so lost bro. Hahahah
People on Patreon get it 48 hours before it releases to RUclips, but this is definitely the first time I've ever done a video for the acoustic version.
Pls look electric callboy prism acoustic
Hey roadie check out a band called silent knight- final countdown they are a power metal band from Australia
So.. Tank.. if you havent reacted to the Mexican band The Warning, you really need to.. they are sisters.. age 21, 19, and 17.. and as a bassist you NEED to see 17yr old Alejandra absolutely own her custom $7k Specter bass made for her.. yep.. the youngest endorsed bassist in company history.. look up the song Choke (live session) and buckle your seatbelt.. all the sisters are great.. but Ale is something special
You need to react to some acoustic Trivium stuff by MKH. If you, of course, can get the agreement with Matt and RR , and you haven't seen them
You should check out these music videos. Not much gear but (in my view) very interesting videos and music.
Pain - "Shut your Mouth" (Official Music Video as most of the live ones are bad quality) and
Lindemann - "Steh Auf" (especially Live in Moscow or the official)
You got to listen to the Swedish band “ Opeth”, great music 🤘🏻
Been listening to them for years!
Baby Metal acoustic!?!?!?!?!
Does this exist?
The only thing missing in this is "this one is for you tank".
i am waiting like crazy for the sabaton's ''soldier of heaven reaction''..please man hurry!!
It's on the schedule of things to do!
Hello.
I think you really need to listen too the new Trollfest-single "Dance Like A Pink Flamingo". It´s party for your ears!
Cheers!
Your reactions are awesome! :)
It would be great if you could take a look at Nico's old band "To the Rats and Wolves"
Been listening to them for a while now, actually, and I love them! Shame they're not around anymore.
@@TankTheTech Yes they made such good music. I guess its a shame but on the other hand we wouldnt have Nico and Kevin together now :)
Hey Tank, just a stupid question you're by far the one and only Musik reaction channel where I fell in love with. Is it possible to get a signature card from you for my new wall of fame in my new flat? I got after 1 year of searching a flat in Hamburg . Just a question. Big hugs and love from Germany.
That's the first time anyone has asked me for something like that, but I'd be happy to do it!
@@TankTheTech that's so lovely, how can I send you my post address?
@@TankTheTech sry but did you got my mail? i hope so... much ,pove from Hamburg the greatest town in germany
Here is a tip for a Reaction a German Band in the Vein of Motörhead, check out Crossplane they are pure Rock n Roll
i feel like you were silly. i guess because its considered "live" id dismiss it also but considering how the past 2? songs theyve done x amount of covers its worth checking out each one they post imo
For me, it's just variety of content on the channel. There are times where I feel I don't need to do every single thing that a band uploads, and because I had already heard the original version of "Pump It", I feel like I didn't need to react to a live one. But this is basically an entirely new song, so I'm glad I did it!
Mr. Tank nice to you meet you the following songs i would recommend them for you are Humanity by Scorpions, The Ledge by Hittman, Love's Holding on by Axel Rudi Pell featuring Bonnie Tyler Where the Wild Waters Flow by Axel Rudi Pelland last song Sealing My Fate by Serious Black
The next song you should check out is Falling in Reverses new single Zombified. It's SO good.
It's on the schedule of things to do!
Eskimo Callboy plan to change their name and remove old songs in response to controversy
Full statement from the band’s Instagram:
“the Hypa Hypa EP, We Got The Moves and now Pump It reaching #31 on the charts. What a year... While we continue to fiddle around in the studio, we are of course also reading all the comments on social. Thanks for all the support and encouragement. And thanks for the critical voices about our old lyrics, too. They feel less good, but are just as important. Therefore some real talk for a moment:
The Internet doesn't forget. Not even the lyrics we wouldn't write today. We can't live without fun and irony, but of course there are limits to that. We apologize to everyone we have discriminated or hurt with our lyrics. That was never our intention. That's why we are already in the midst of taking these songs offline. We are a tolerant and open-minded band and against any form of racism and exclusion. Our music should be as much fun for all of you as it is for us. But of course you can still think we suck.
It is probably also because of that Eurovision thing going on.
@@Hexenkind1 Most likely! But Eskimo is a derogatory term for Inuits! The Edmonton Eskimos football team changed their name to the "Elks" as well! That and apparently some of their older lyrics are "offensive". This world has become too hyper-sensitive!
There is a shoecompany called Escimo. They för not change the name
i like "Alaska Escort"
@@Axe_Slinger hyper sensitivity and morality have become almost a competition. I am against any form of denigration but I am also against superficial hypocrisy.
Did we just hear the version for the ESC?
Lyrically maybe, but doubt it'll be acoustic for Eurovision.
Please check out the new band from that i think you Will like ! Performance video officiell video for New horizon- stronger than steel ! The vocalist Erik grönwall is outstanding! And they are from Sweden of course !
I think you should listen to another great German band. It's called Eisbrecher.
They have great Songs. I recommend that. 😊
Been listening to Eisbrecher for quite a few years. Even used one of their songs as the background music in the first Eskimo Callboy reaction I ever did.
@@TankTheTech awesome! But you've never make a reaction to Eisbrecher?
No, because I've heard everything they've ever released. Haha
Wait a minute. Do they sing 'f'ck'ng kill that b*tch' in the original song? I thought it was 'kill that bench'. You know, pumping iron, bench, ... Made sense to me. Been listening to it again, and now I can't tell what it is: b*tch' or bench.
Could you plse send them an e-mail and ask??
According to the official lyrics, it's "bitch". And I had a conversation with Kevin recently about it, and he was explaining the context of the lyrics. "Kill it" is popular phrase in the US that also means "get it done" or something similar, and saying "kill that bitch" is basically an aggressive way of saying "crush it" or "get it done".
@@TankTheTech thx, didn't know that it was an expression as well. I was wondering why the b*tch' had to die. ...
The true test of a band is how they stripped down versions of there song. Demon Hunter is the best at stripped down metal songs.
