Couldn't agree more. It sucks. I have always loved the German stadiums, I remember the World Cup in 2006 and the amazing atmosphere. However, it's a big "stain" on the whole event that the Final will be played in a stadium with a running track. The final should have been played in Munich or Dortmund if you ask me.

It would be a waste if the stadium is unused most of the time. Bayern Munich could easily sell out a much larger stadium though. They have over 100.000 ticket requests for most matches. So in a way they lose a lot of money by not having a larger stadium.

You have to differentiate between the capacity of national Bundesliga matches and international UEFA or FIFA matches. Standing room is not allowed and many seats are lost due to the installation of the seating shells. Therefore, the capacities are now shrinking and the figures you know are invalid.

I think the best game-day atmosphere is found at Westfalenstadion in Dortmund, from the 10 Euro 2024 venues.
