Terre D’hermes is a masterpiece. Not groundbreaking? It’s considered one of the best ever. No compliments for me ever with any fragrance, but Terre D’hermes would deserve it.
I'm wearing Creed Vetiver now. I've also got Aventus, Viking, Royal Mayfair, Royal Water, and Santal. While Aventus is great, I enjoy Viking. I often get compliments while wearing any Creed.
I own Aventus and Club de Nuit EDP (don't get EDT, new batches are so weak. The smell of Aventus is quite a bit nicer, but you have to do so many sprays now. Club de Nuit smells a little harsh and synthetic, but it's great value for money if you get the EDP.
Still haven't decided if I love or hate Club De Nuit (accurate Creed Adventis clone). I do get compliments, more than others I've used. My girl loves it. It's just not something I'd normally pick. I'm used to a crisp fresh scent like Aqua De Gio. I think when the top notes leave, I enjoy the base notes much more.
You wouldn’t be the first guy to wear fragrance that you didn’t like but because your girl likes it bro. I don’t like CDNI, but if Monika wanted me to wear it, I’m spraying.

She is charming and you a gentleman. A complimentary perfume can boost charisma as does being dressed desirably. Glad some of my personal choices are in this list , is it just me or does original vetiver smell somewhat like a fresh version of royal oud? I can’t decide which to buy from the samples I have.
I put on the best fragrance for different occasions, the important things about wearing a fragrance is that it should turn heads, compliments coming from all side, you don't have to wear very expensive fragrance to smell nice, there are also cheaper ones that kills it, the importance is you must smell nice wherever you find yourself, it also says who or what you are as a man.
You certainly can't beat the original. I tested both the EDT and EDP at work. Colleagues thought the EDP had a deeper stronger spicer smell from the start. The EDT however won over my colleagues as they preferred the more softer, light and fresh out of the shower smell 🍋
A much more seasonal honourable mention, which is somewhat listed here, is the D&G Pour Homme Light Blue Eau Intense. It's great for the current spring/summer weather. I don't find it as strong smelling as say Dior Sauvage so instead of the usual 1-2 sprays, I go 2-3 sprays
A big part of scents in colognes will change based on individual ph balance. I would be intrigued to know how you would categorize scents based on ph levels applied between men who sweat very often versus men who seldom produce sweat. It would give more of a complete guide for men and help men know how to select scents based on their biological (sweat production in particular) make-up. I myself love 3 different scents; for casual and fun I go for the citrus scents, for colder seasons I like musky and pine smells, for the rest of the year, my go to is Davidoff's original Cool Waters. I have other scents like Stetson's Preffered Stock, Jovan Musk, Givenchy Pi, and several Bench spritzers.
You are both so great and LOVED this. I so agree with all your points made here. I never feel fully dressed until I put a nice scent on. I have to rotate as my nose needs long breaks from each one. I love discovering new ones and going back (sometimes yrs later to old ones) I would love to get notified of live streams.
I have almost no experience with fragrances: as a warehouse worker, I haven't much occasion to wear them. The most I've learned is that the tea-tree oil soap I use from Dr. Bronner's seemed to change women's reactions favorably 9although it's subtle), and it's good for my skin. But I wouldn't know the first damn thing about cologne. I like eucalyptus and its variants as a relaxing smell, but I have no idea if there' any application to fragrances.....
Tom Ford's Oud Wood Intense, Tobacco Vanille and Costa Azzura could also be some great choices.....Also arabian knight silver, killian black phantom and PDM Herod could've been a couple of honourable mentions.
Hi I just wanted to Thank you on your video about colognes I have been a professional men's tailor Taylor in Tampa Florida for the past 25 years and now I am retiredBut I still wear the same Cologne and still get compliments .And that in the past 20 years I have been wearing Obsession by Calvin Klein and still get compliments everyday I And now that I'm retiredI still work with the public and at least coming Into contact with a 100 people per day And of those probably 30% or women. Who compliment me and always ask me what is that wonderful is that wonderful colonial wearing
But the biggest thing we have to realize is everything might not smell the same on everybody 🤷🏽♂️like dc light blue it doesn’t smell good on myself but profondo smells excellent,same with Mont Blanc ,it all depends on your body chemistry 👍

I got a clone which is Borouj perlador and I showed up at church walked by a crowd of women didn’t stop and when I came back in all women was in the room saying what are u wearing. I’ve never got that kind of reaction have to say felt good. Wish could afford the real one maybe one day.
One thing I wanted to say about Dior Sauvage as well is that I work in a cleanroom where I have to wear a cleanroom suit (Google it, it's like a hazmat suit) and my colleague could still smell the Dior Sauvage despite being fully covered up, and she complimented me on it
I still prefer YSL Y EDT over EDP, the EDP is just a bit on the too sweet side, and I already have others that smell sweet, so no reason to go overload on it.

Wow! Original Vetiver is my daily that I wear every day. It doesn't get any mentions, so it was a pleasant surprise to hear it mentioned. I have four bottles. One in each of my homes that I split my time between, one in my office, and a travel size in my travel kit. I don't know what other people think about it, because no one has ever complimented on the s ent, but I just love the smell of it when I spray it. My other go to is Royal Water for more casual moments. I like it enough to keep three bottles (not one for the office because...it's more casual.) It's the scent that my son says "it smells like dad" when he gets a whiff of it off of something I wore. For chillier days I'll go with Sunday Cologne from Byredo, which is a heavier vetiver scent. But my wife doesn't like it too much, so I just keep that one for the home that she doesn't spend too much time in.

Easy to access and juice hasn't changed much. another reason is that Dior Fragrances generally do not see much discounts compared to 90% of the other fragrance houses. If I didnt have things that smell sauvage ish(blue de chanel) , I would def need a bottle and I am by no means a collector. like I'm 8 bottles in atm. between Hawas, BDC , ARMAF CDNIM , Armaf Milestone, Chrome, Drakkar Noir and Ysl Y and some cheaper cologne bottles of 20 and below. the one I reach for the most are Hawas, CDNIM and Drakkar Noir (its so cheap at 6.7 oz) .

F Black by Salvatore Ferragamo is another great underrated fragrance, I’ve gotten lots of compliments with it

Personally it has really grown on me the more I’ve worn it. If I ignore the fact that it’s a clone I do believe it is a great fragrance.
