People are looking at the fact that they wrote Louie as a black man get over it the writing of this series is incredible it's addictive and exhilarating I think the writers the creators of this version has done incredible job give them their props.
jacob/the cast talking about sam and their chemistry has me squealing omg they are so cute 😭🥺 and jacob's reaction to bailey's comment about them being besties is so adorable i can't stop smiling. i love them and the show is amazing
10:52 I adore the way Eric takes a moment just to reload and have jacob and sam on a greater blast. look at Bailey's face she was having so much fun at these two being exposed 😭
I think Daniel is not getting enough credit, at least from the books readers. I mean, you dare to tell me you don't picture the Daniel we know as this old grumpy so-done and very outspoken man at this age. I truly LOVE his screen time
The love these guys have for the book and it's fans is really beautiful, and you can tell they're working so hard to make something both old and new fans enjoy. Absolutely can't wait to watch!!!
I love this show. The Casting is awesome. The time lime move was a good idea. Who ever cast this show should get a promotion. I like that Louis has evolved from book one and has character development . He does not let Lestat steam roll him all the time. Lestat has full development from the books and not beholden to just the 1st book. A hope for many seasons.
I'm warming up to this. Slowly. I can see the reasons behind the alterations. And I have faith in the producers. Bumbed we have to wait to see it in Sweden.
Gorgeous show: Beautiful sets with sumptuous dressings, mood-setting lighting, emotionally nuanced music, outstanding costumes, makeup and hair. It's an intriguing, fantastic world that becomes reality with the incredibly insightful performances of these actors. Writing and direction are excellent!
This is one of THE BEST shows on TV right now!!! For those who haven't seen it, do yourselves a favor and watch it. The sets, the production, the directing, the writing and the acting is A list all the way!! It's going back to basics, back to the old school gothic vampire romance drama we know and love.
I have been to Nola many times, bought gumbo, went to bourbon street in the evening & night & it was lit up like day time. Stopped in jaz place to enjoy some music. I love that movie. I knew nothing about Rice's book never heard of it until my son told me about the movie. I rode the street car down middle of street. I just love new orleans. There is something about it.
That's not even anything near like Claudia she is playing. Claudia by name only. Anne's Claudia's entire history and character becomes absolutely ridiculous and unbelievable being played by someone of Bailey's age and size. They might as well have hired a 70 year old actress to play Claudia than this, it would make just as much sense.
@@hollib3900 why are YOU here?? Everybody has equal right to speak on here. You don't even seem to be a real fan of Anne Rice, as you support the disrespect, so if anyone should G TFO ... well you know where the door is.

Seeing AMC owns all the books, how come most of them are not available on Kindle or as any ebooks, unless you're in the U.S? This is a major pain for Aussies and people in the UK and other places. I've had to buy second-hand paper-backs, to re-read them, which doesn't make any money for AMC, so it's counter-productive for them, I guess. Many of us are complaining about this on Social Media. The Witching Hour and The Vampire Lestat are not available as ebooks in the rest of the world. Please fix this issue.
I am excited to watch this version of Lestat! But I will admit, even if this actor will be amazing as Lestat, my heart will forever be attach to Tom Cruise's version of Lestat. Tom's version of him is what I will forever imagine Lestat to look like, and he played him so well.
I am still waiting on my Armand. I do hope they do him justice. I loved Antonio's version of him, but I hope they are accurate of Armand in this series. And I hope they DON'T gender swap his character, or make him too old, if they do, that's when I will quit watching this show.
My brother has said that Timothée Chalamet could be the perfect Armand. He is as described in the books what Armand would have looked like.... young/youthful, pretty, pale skin, piercing eyes, curly locks (though i forgot what color hair Armand has in the books).

@@SJ-007 Her character was aged up because a 6 and 11 year old would age drastically over the time required to film, very noticeably, which would NOT work for this character. They needed someone not likely to change appearance notably over a period of years. You act like the essence of the character would work with someone visibly aging, and that'd be fine as long as they STARTED at an acceptable age to YOU. Which is hilarious. And no I didn't block you, they removed my comment. You don't seem to know much about how film making works yet think you can critique it because it had to make a book change. @@gilsurf8 It certainly doesn't have any value as it stands, and is pretty pointless. Might as well remove the "like" button also. Our conflicting views on television productions are insignificant in comparison. I saw what I thought was a great comment recently that was very apt - "We're being given the circuses, but they forgot about the bread".
Curious as to if you can see my original reply to you, as I just after typing it got a bizarre warning about "violating community standards" and I could lose my account. Why?? This also perfectly ties in with my annoyance at button being "removed". Jacob and Sam being besties is the best that has happened to the world in years!!!

'Louie' (Jacob) narrates the whole show! (except Ep.4) and he does a great job! The acting is great also.👍
Rolin you were so right for saying the balcony scene in the finale was your favorite, that shit was utterly devastating 😭

starts around 8:00 - 10:30
Eric Bogosian talking about how he had to catch up to Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid was hilarious xD someone has to babysit them!
I love that they mentioned New Orleans being a character in Anne Rice's books and the spirit of the city is in her writing! I love that very much!

Rolin is such a real one for not shying away from Lestat and Gabrielle’s relationship some creators would completely avoid it all together

Well, how do you feel now? Is Assad not the *perfect* Armand?
This interviewer TALKS TO MUCH! Just get into it already.....omg. I couldn't take his chattering!
I feel like Sam Reid would have been a perfect Marius instead. He seems to have too much gravitas for a character such as Lestat.
That was my first thought too when I heard about the casting but he has proven me wrong. Dude is *good*.
