Sam saying lestat needed to die to get a grip LMFAO
I thought it refreshing that Sam truly knows Lestat and is not romanticizing him.

Not actually but I believe for Lestat to truly understand the importance of his role in the story and how he truly played a significant part in tarnishing his relationship with two people he loved, he needed to have that “ending” and that time to get his mind straight

It's great that this series has not only great writers but also such intelligent and well spoken actors who care so deeply about the story.
I think it takes an enormous amount of intelligence to communicate emotions as these actors have done. They have to know the characters.

The way that Louis+Daniel progress from almost enemies to almost allies throughout this series is so underrated. Their relationship is fantastic, just like all the others.
I am so grateful for all the of the cast and crew working on this series hopefully for years and years yet to come! 💖💖😊🥰 They are all really putting in the work, and it shows, really doing such a phenomenal job all around-keep it up, and = bravo / thank you, truly! 💜
Rolin and the writers discovering a newfound love for Armand and coming to view the story from his perspective and knowing where they can take his character in the future is all so refreshing to hear 🥹 and of course Assad’s incredible performance and understanding of his character has me beyond excited for what’s to come!

@@tabularasaconfirmed Yes, absolutely 💯 on that. The 2nd book is necessary to get to glimpse Lestat's beginnings which reveal so much of his personality which is multi-layered. His human family dynamic is also very interesting if they go according to the book. I would also like to see how they will handle the scene with the wolves which is extremely important.

we're so lucky to have all these wonderful people working on this show. you can tell they're all so deeply passionate about the source material and understand their characters and roles achingly well. season 2 isn't even out yet, and I'm already hoping and praying season 3 gets greenlit. something this earnest and beautiful deserves the room to unravel to its end.

I like what Sam said that Lestat wasn't being facetious when he said the vampires in the old world are much worse than he is and that is true. Lestat is easy going in comparison to the vampires in the old world something Louis and Claudia find out the hard way. On another note, why do I think Louis becomes a Beatnik years after?

I am now obsessed with Lestat! I watched the show casually first and as it progressed I had to pay attention and had to watch it again and I am just obsessed with this show, I hope they release season 3 soon before the euphoria dies down, a lot of times with huge periods between seasons you tend to get disconnected and forget what it made you feel and then it feels like watching something new, I have abandoned many shows because of the disconnection. I would love to watch more of Lestat, and Lestat and Louis together, they look so good together. I am glad we are done with Claudia, I hope the story moves forward keep Louis and Lestat at center

All of the actors have such fascinating and intriguing and satisfying pieces of wisdom and insight to share. Not only about their own characters but about life.
So both Lestat and Armand's prime need is to be loved and find a companion. Armand also wants someone to help him learn about the world and be less "boring" because he has been closeted with a bunch of other lesser vampires. i think
they’re so beautiful i wish this wasn’t filmed on a microwave. we need to see their beauty in HD @amc

armand is like criminally attractive
Jacob saying Louis is more in charge in the relationship with Lestat than he would ever admit to. So true. That's what i've always thought. So many people think Lestat is some master manipulator and is grooming Louis but i never got that vibe at all. Louis is calculating and clever and knows how to play Lestat.

I can't wait to watch the first episode of the second season. This has been one of my most anticipated returns this year. Everyone sounds so excited for us to see what they've done and the story that they've woven together and I like what they could divulge already. The excitement and anticipation is palpable. Questions were engagement and thoughtful and allowed them dig into what they love about the show, the characters and their interactions. Fabulous job as an interviewer as always Karama. I always love how you give the people you interview space to let them get their thoughts out and how their answers help flow into the next question and how comfortable you make them feel, not to mention you're own excitement for subject! Rotten Tomatoes if you're listening/reading give her more interviews, segments, etc.!

I usually don't like it when shows bend to the fans' wishes, but IF/WHEN this show gets a third season, these two lovebirds need to stay together.
In the books Lestat ends up with somebody else, but that's not something any of us wants to see.
It will be amazing when Daniel meets Lestat he will definitely be telling Lestat about himself and he will not like it one bit

People really need to stop mistaking "plot" for "action"-there is a TON of plot, in the Interview book, but plot is not always action; the plot is the story or sequence of things happening or going on from one moment to a next, but it 100% does not ever have to be physical action. Whether non-action plots are always for every audience or not.😊

Yep. Bailey Bass has a prominent role in the Avatar film series which made it difficult for her to film Interview so they had to recast her role.

Does anyone know what time period lestat being a rock star will be in?
In the books it’s the 90s, in the movie Queen of The Damned it’s the 2000s, but for the show I believe it’s modern day simply because of the teaser we saw, we can hear older Daniel in the background directing the documentary

Bass being replaced for whatever reason was strange. Bass's performance made her a perfect fit for the role.
Bailey Bass is under contract with James Cameron for the Avatar films. She could not do both. The re-casting of Claudia was flawless. British actress, Delainey Hayles is a phenomenal actress. She's doing a great job.

This interview is **fantastic.** Great questions and lots of time to listen to everybody properly work through what they want to say. ❤ I appreciate not every interviewer has the time or even interest to really learn about their interviewees, but it’s always so satisfying to watch an informed reporter. ☺️
Also, for my own emotional security, they’re saying a lot of things I’ve been hoping to hear them say. I’m thrilled. 🥹
Eric needs to think again about his statement of Louis' illusory perspective regarding his "goodness and light" nature. Louis demonstrated with great heart that he is far more ethical and humane than Daniel ever will be by NOT slapping Daniel into Christmas 2050 after Daniel assaulted him! Does Eric think that the audience is asleep? While viewers tend to support Daniel, few would personally tolerate his cynicism and acerbic, mistrustful nature. Few would have the patience! He is the original and insensitive GRINCH.
