Tony, If you can find them cheap enough....have a look at the intake manifolds from a DB9 V12 (DBS version is the best) they're a good upgrade and not as wide as the DB7 intake, while also putting the throttle bodies further forward, angled down and outwards slightly. Keep up the killer content!!!

Hey Tony, ride tech came out with a sla front suspension for the foxbody. You can modify the shock towers . It gets ride off the struts . And use a tubular k member. Plus you can run s550 big brakes or cobra ones. It's $$ but probably worth it.

If i remember correctly, that engine is derived from 2 taurus 3.0s put together.
Also, the Maximum motorsports manual brake kit is great for these cars and doesn't feel bad to drive on the street or track. And a Maximum k-member would probably help alot with header clearance and space to build mounts etc

Maximun Motorsports parts are the best out there for the '80's-2000's Mustangs. Had some their parts on my 1990 GT and they completely transformed the car. Handled like it was on rails and I just had their basic street setup. Wish I'd kept the car and kept going with the build, I didn't have the tubular k-member & control arms or any of their rear suspension parts on it so it could have been even better...

Two Duratec 3.0's, yes. Although it's a bit more complex than that (a lot of bespoke engineering went into this 5.9 litre). But some things are basically off the shelf parts, like the front timing cover and balancer.

I have essentially the entire front half of the MM max grip box and IRS in my fox. Top quality parts. The only thing I’d say that could be better is the Griggs Racing front end because the SLA setup would let them cut some of the strut tower away to make room for this monster. The downside is it’s painfully expensive.

Hello. I am a car enthusiast from Malta and love your videos man!
If you don't mind accepting a tip:
The way I see this being done time efficiently and cost effectively is to cut everything from the windshield forwards, mock the engine in place on stands and then custom build a tube chassis & exhaust manifolds (headers if you please) around the engine/motor once you position it where you want it to be & then fit steering column & rack and everything around it. 100% custom.

    • @spdfrdm
      @spdfrdm 9 месяцев назад

You might have to cut the firewall & transmission tunnel ro have engine fitting as backwards & low as possible as well as I would suggest going dry 'sump lubrication' and this way having a completely flat 'oil pan' would facilitate the mounting of steering rack & other components. This build could make an insane drift missile or drag weapon adding twin-turbos to the mix!

It was a Steve Colletti built and tuned car, was the first car I ever had tuned and dyno'd, 298 whp 414 ft lbs, that was in 1999, with bolt on's, port work, custom exhaust, and ecm tuning. RIP ThunderTurd, I wish I didn't hit a guard rail doing 60 avoiding a deer.

I would have dropped the V12 in a later 5th generation Mustang. The body shape looks more like a Aston Martin. But this is also cool. Vanilla Ice style 🛠😎

I have an 87 turbo coupe and if you are wanting to put a v12 in it be prepared to completely redo the front end. Replace the shock towers and all that stuff with mustang 2. It barely fits the turbo side along with the brake setup, lol. Same for the fox mustang I would assume.

I was literally looking at the roller you picked up on marketplace 😂 I’m only 20 minutes from it. Then sat on it and it was gone. I’m happy you got it though, it’s a cool build. Can’t wait to hear that.

Man that looks like alot of weight over the front axle...it makes an 80s audi look like it has 50/50 weight distribution lol. You're a mad scientist!😄

As someone who owned an 86 tbird back in the day I would have loved to see you pick up the sc. But still looking forward to see you turn the mustang into a beast

Love the old fox bodies. Was my first car. This thing is going to be sick when you finish.

Griggs SLA would be so sick on this project, especially to fit that gigantic engine. Maybe new exhaust (manifolds) packaging is similar cost to say...idk..custom turbo manifolds? Sry ideas just keep jumping at me, my pockets aren't that deep either...an NA homebuilt/fit Aston V12 Fox is a killer idea! Can't wait to see what happens next! ❤

Tony buy a delete kit for the shock towers and you will have a lot of room. Love everything you do from another PA guy living in Mn

I do like the fox body platform, however I can see the Aston Martin V12 in the Lincoln mark viii, it had independent suspension for all four wheels; at the time, the only other rear-wheel drive American cars to do so (alongside the Thunderbird and Cougar) were the Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper , still it is gonna be a great build.

You already know I’m excited. I think 93 prelude seats fit right in. That’s what I’ve been told. the preludes have great buckets. Idk tony knows me than me anyhow
