- Another one from our trip over to Northern Ireland! While over there we got introduced to this gentleman Ricky, who is a top of the line engine builder and primarily focusses on C20XE engines and gets the max amount of power out of them, turning them from a 2.0 to a 2.5 with over 300HP! We hope you enjoy this video as it is something a little different, but as a Vauxhall/Opel fanatic, I couldn't resist showing you guys!

That is an 20XE heaven. Amazing engine that is still reliable and still in high demand. A real testament to the work of these guys is the high class work shop. Great video. Looking forward to seeing the cav again this year.
Fantastic worksop and engines. Great idea to do a video on a flow test on all the different heads and seeing which head would be good for track, road and drag strip. Hope it helps with the touring car too.

Hey mate, that was a few years ago. I'm based out of Milton Keynes. Well the engines been on the shelf since 2010 basically just ready to go. Unfortunately it got to the point we were bending the strut towers on the old T car chassis so we retired it. We also really were on the limit of the fw box's etc. I'm hoping in the next year or so to bring the motor and shell across rebuild it to run at Santapod perhaps

Unfortunately I already ordered a new athena, but when this one blows again, im getting a couple of those steel victor reinz ones for sure!
That is a pearl of knowledge that you would not get anywhere else!
If you could make a video only talking about head gaskets for 20 minutes and showing different examples, I would watch the shit out of that!

The guy here in South Africa you talking about is Nasen Padayachee he’s work shop name is Nazkar performance
I know Nasen and his family well. His son lives in the UK. An we speak regularly. One of the top guys in the world on these engines for sure 🙏
Really interesting stuff as usual.. curious about the shimming the Victor reinz gaskets what thickness can you get from shimmimg it? What way do you setup the layers?
What about the elring gasket? What's your feelings on them? I've had anthena push water too
Elring is fine used then an work just aswell.
I have ran them upto 1.9mm thick
So they come in 4 layers 2 outer 2 inner.
So buy 2 gaskets drill out the rivits and assemble 2 out 4 inner.

These are mostly naturaly aspirated high compression engines and the omega has a turbo 3 liter not in the same league at all
I have an Opel Calibra 2.0 16V 4X4 with a C20XE engine and I would love to see a conversion like this in it, how much would it cost to send my engine in and get this beauty back? ;-)
If you have all that already then you don't need a conversion. Just tuning and mods

Is 2.2 higher than 2.4 Z24SED!? I bought Z24SED as it is 7mm higher and thought thats max i can find.

they use z22xe from Omega/frontera
The best version of the red tops Is a Frankenstein mix and match, very early 20xe coscast block, with flat type lightened fly wheel, and the last of the coscast heads, as there was 3 versions of the head, the early coscast head then the cheaper kuglepourushead version and then the last version when Cosworth was given the contract back to cast the heads
Millington have new XE heads being cast by one of THE names in motorsport, Crosthwaite and Gardiner , and from the Millington site "Cast in LM25 Alloy using the same method, in the same foundry,as the last batch of Coscast type heads to be produced in the late 1990s which proved to be the reliable variant.".
I'd suggest a few stiff whiskeys before looking at the price, they're ****ing expensive, even in bare form - I've bought some very nice cars for less!
I had a 1994 cos cast it didn't have a distributor it blanked it ran on coyls a pal from Birmingham sold me it because the red top I had broke timing belt the car had quafe diff and rear disc brakes it was a gsi corsa. Put slot into it sold because cash problem asked 1200. Friend sold it for me . Sed he was buying it for diff. Prick had the cheek to ask for money off almost told him to forget it . Wish I did I don't know if he knew about the engine would try buy it back if I could track the fucker down. Regret it

What year combo? If it’s pre facelift like Corsa C shape then yes.

Как минимум у блока leh есть маслофорсунки. Балансирные валы и плита жесткости но это не так важно.
