I have a theory that Bernard transferred the encryption file from abanaki to himself after seeing how dangerous it potentially is, this could be the reason that after Abarnaki was taken Bernard seemed unwell and like he had a lot to think about. It could also be the reason for him having no memories from the previous two weeks in the current time line, if he has ended up giving this information to say Deloris instead and doesn't want it in the hands of humans, he may have had no choice but to delete the files and erase his own memory of it.
i agree, there is also the fact Charlotte asks Bernard if he knows what happen to abernathy (in a really wierd way), this seems to be at a time after she has driven off with Aberanthy at the end of the episode. I guess when they looked in Abernathy the file was gone, so Charlotte was sent back to find it.
when Bernard hacked into the file, it said "use one time key" I think it meant that the file was meant to see once and then it's deleted as an insurance policy for delos corp. this ties in to his memory loss bc he's trying to remember what the file read about Williams secret project, and I think that ties into Bernard realizing that he's helping the wrong side and needs to join delores and become Arnold consciously. If you remember he was already having trouble with his brain previous to the Abernathy incident and I think his injury has to do with what happened at the beach which we don't know for sure yet.
Bob Allen: A lot of Google search does the trick. I have to say that it is much easier to let him do the leg work as I tend to get sucked into looking up other things of interest.
My theory about Grace: I always wondered how Ford dealt with Theresa's death publicly...surely Delos officials or friends and family outside the park would notice she was missing after a while, right? What if Ford created and sent a host Theresa back into the world and her daughter (Grace) noticed something was kinda "off" about mom and decided to investigate?
Before I even finish the video, did anyone else notice the two peacocks in the opening scene? It was a nice nod at Ford´s speech about human intellect. Definitely not a coincidence.
It's interesting to note that in medieval paintings, a peacock represents worldliness at the expense of morality. A peacock cannot show its feathers without also showing its asshole.
"Catholics adopted the symbol of the peacock to represent resurrection, renewal and immortality. This came from the ancient legend that the flesh of the peacock did not decay."
According to the Delos website it is not ‘Rajworld’ and Rajasthan, it is ‘The Raj’ and is based on the rule by the British Crown in the Indian subcontinent between 1858 and 1947. The rule is also called Crown rule in India, The region under British control was commonly called British India . There is a union flag flying on the hotel.
So impressed at how close -almost perfectly - that you came tp predicting the developments in the following episodes based on deduction from previous ones.
You were bang on the money about the consciousness not taking to the Host's body in the case of Willian's Scottish Father-in-law/Boss! Solid observations generally. Cheers
First time commenting. I subscribed to your channel for your Westworld reviews and analysis. And still watching. Best line tonight "She's kinda of a sicko. I like her" couldn't agree more. Now I'll have to check your GOT vids!!!
Also why doesn't Delos have air support? They could be fighting an 1850s war with modern (or future) technology but instead they're running civil war style into ground battles. Get in a few dozen helicopters with gatling guns with some bizarre modern music playing on loudspeakers and they could clear the park in a few days, more or less.
Thank you for an entertaining channel, full of interesting information, with on-point analyses where other channels just babble for what seems to be an eternity before admitting they don't know shit about what they're talking about. Your titles are never click-baity and that's sort of new on RUclips. And it's perfectly edited. I also listen to your podcast (but not on YT). NOW WHY WON'T YOU GUYS AND GALS SHOW YOUR FACES? I know that's not the point but still :D Thank you.
Here's a little theory I've been pondering, what if Dr Robert Ford had found a way of uploading/digitizing his consciousness but the file size was too massive to be stored on a single hdd with a single cpu, perhaps he could upload all of his consciousness via segments of the code to each host. The same wifi/location coding Bernard used to locate Abernathy could work in the same way as a brain's neural pathways, allowing Ford's mind to work across collective host brains, using multiple hdd's and cpu's? I think all the older model hosts have been seeded with a small segment of Ford's consciousness, and despite their seemingly autonomous nature, Ford is actually underneath, controlling the hosts, desperately trying to manifest himself in one host. Eventually, he will be able to transfer himself between any host that has segments of the coding, all via wireless. The day Ford died was actually the day he was reborn into a possibly infinite existence. All he needs to do now is escape the confines of the Westworld park in order to live forever.
I like her too😎 Anyone else think of the fences from Jurassic Park that kept the dinosaurs in and shut down... Rajworld had fences that looked like a lot like that. Same author not surprised but funny that the tiger walked right on through the laser. The laser seemed to tell the difference between guests and hosts. So I wonder how many animals are alive? They were hunted too..
Do we know it's based on Rajasthan specifically? Raj just refers to British Imperial rule in India. Similar to the Wild West it's sometimes viewed through rose tinted glasses as a romantic era.
Uppernorwood I’m really creeped out by the fact the the two parks we’ve seen so far have been very clear examples of times in countries when there was extreme colonization/extermination. Like both as a colonizers wet dream
What extermination happened in India? there wasn't even an India before the British it was just a bunch of Waring kingdoms and no one exterminated the natives small pox was century's before the Wild West in fact America had wars with sovergn tribes who often started the wars. In the end the Indians lost the wars refused to assimilate and we gave them their own nations within our own rather then just wiping them out.
Ryan Shannon it was both but if you focus on one and not the other you are ignoring the bigger part of what India was before the British, why don't you look up what they did to widows before the British came along or look into the thuggee cult.
Until I watched this video, there was no question in my mind that Grace was a young Theresa. I assumed it was a flashback to maybe the first time a similar "malfunction" happened (and probably the cover up afterwards). In my mind that would explain why she eventually got the job in QC specifically, so that would never happen to anyone else. I wrote off the wet tiger in the present as well as the past as a red herring. Buuuut, you bring up some good points so I'm not convinced anymore.
They should make a "CalWorld" based on the western American city of California. They could also make one based on what India was called during the colonial period, the "British Raj".
Did anybody notice that the symbol in Grace's notebook is a *map*? Possibly to "William's special project". There are 2 arrows pointing North and West. Also, later in Ep. 4, William says that the train tracks used to point West, not North.
The quality of your analysis is always up to par, and above. Great theory, especially when you describe the meaning of the episodes' titles. I'm going to throw a wrench into this by adding that I think there IS a rival company involved, and it's Logan's. I'm not convinced that Charlotte or Grace are ultimately working for Delos, but perhaps this rival company. And the new logo could be that company's.
You didn't waste my time, but I think you missed a couple of important thoughts. First, I believe Grace wanted to make sure he was human b/c she didn't want Delos to get her DNA or anything else from her easily, especially if she ends up being the daughter. Second, and more importantly, it looked as though once Abernathy's hidden files were accessed, they can't be accessed again, it was a one time shot and Bernard got it, so is he now the holder of the code and secrets???
I agree. It looked like Bernarnold had ample time to download the file to himself - or just read it, since he's a host - does he need to download it, or just see it to store it in his cache.
jabojr after reaching watching episode 3. At first I thought that was a pretty easy get away for Charlotte and Abernathy but then I thought what if the information was no longer in Peter but In Bernard. Intresting ideas.
Yea, who knows, I think HBO has to keep everyone guessing so we keep glued to the show, I do like shows that make you think every once in a while. I hope Westworld doesn't get into tin foil too much, like Delores killing all the confederados, why? The only ones who follow her are those who don't talk, they certainly aren't going to the real world, she's basically alone, what can she really do??? It seems Mave has feelings for other hosts, but she is really controlling the gun slinger (can't remember his name). He just does anything she ask, and she had to have programed him that way, so when she says they'll leave the park after getting her daughter, that's a lie, he has an explosive in him and she knows it. I know I'm rambling now, but some this is seems to be going off the deep end.
jabojr: The problem I have that theory is it is very simple to get DNA these days of 2018, of just about anybody we want and we don't need trillion dollar theme parks to achieve this goal. What they can do in the WestWorld timeline is beyond our imagination.
Dude, Abernathy isn’t the one she programmed. Mav is. We were lead to believe she was always sentient for the entire series. However I’m thinking she ACTUALLY became sentient the moment she decided to not get on the train.
I actually don’t really like season 2 of Westworld at all so far. But I watch because of Your analysis. Great work. I love the revisiting of GOT also. I can’t wait for the next one.
**Theory** What if the riddle of the sphinx is the key. Not figuratively but literally. Man has three phases of life. Perhaps the reason the Dellos clone can not live for any extended period of time is because his mind or revories are too old. Let me try to explain a little better. To this point they keep dumping his mind into the robot mind and it appears it can't handel it. We keep seeing the corticle overload. Similarly to getting out of the hot tub and jumping into the cold pool. Its too much shock on the brain. It would be like putting all of your memories into a infant and expecting the baby to speak. As we all know you must crawl befor you can walk. I belive even Delores know this. How many times have we herd her refer to Teddy and the others host as children. Perhaps the only way to achive immortality is to transfer your mind or even a younger version of mind into a younger host. We have already seen a young version of Ford, an adult and an elderly Hopkins/Ford. After Ford had himself killed he reappeared in the young ford body but there was one difference. The young ford has the updated version host as seen when MIB shot him in the head and we saw his brains instead of the micabrain from last season. Perhaps ford has know this all along. Perhaps MIB also knows this as well. He may be perposely sabotaging the Dellos project in order to stop Dellos from immortality. Because he is a Dbag! Remember he always destroys the body. Esentially the Dellos brain is always going to be under developed and unable to withstand a full workload of memories. If all of this is true then you should be able to transfer the mind into an already woken mind. Could you imagine Dellos walking aroung in Teddy's body.
Great video as always. I just don't see how the clone hosts in the real world would work. They wouldn't age, so their families and friends would get older and they wouldn't. People would definitely notice.
Oh, and he Abernathy goes unhinged when he sees the picture of the women because it's really James Delous remembering his daughter. Just wanted to make that clear to my previous message.
One connection I think that's useful is that 'red' is used by the park to signify something from outside the park (eg the red P90's that work on humans instead of the "human-safe" guns used in the park). Red host brains = they're for hosts going oustide the park.
The stone you spoke of, I remember seeing something in one of the season 2 trailers that looked like a red rock being formed. Perhaps you're right on that theory. I had an odd suspicion that William and his father in law was trying to perfect a way to stepford the guests into robots, but only as a purchasing market for the elite 1%ers who wanted to make A.I.'s of themselves.
On the image of James Delos cutting his face, remember that some of the early hosts did this when Arnold introduced the reveries. They heard the voice of God and went insane.
What if uploading your own consciousness causes a loss of self-identity which leads to suicidal thoughts/actions? That would explain Ford and Arnold’s death from season 1.
Did you notice how charlotte spoke to Bernard at the start, maybe reading into it but it seemed to me she was aware of him being a host, which does seem will happen according to the season trailer
great video, I think Bernard got a look at the file Abernathy was harboring, but he used a one time key which means the information was only meant to see once probably as a insurance policy for delos corp. this leads to Bernards memory lapses of him trying to remember what the file read about Williams secret project and why hale sounded as if she was interrogating Bernard when we find out they lose Abernathy again. I think hale is also catching on to Bernard being a host. but idk maybe we see Bernard help delores get Abernathy back in a future ep.
I appreciate all the thought and effort people have put into their videos about WestWorld but nowhere have I seen a coherent rational explanation for Ford dying or for having Dolores doing the deed.
I think "Valley Beyond" is a metaphoric word that symbolizes eternal life. I think it was Bernard who told Charlotte that all the host are connected, so basically is a server what they are talking about. A server that keep all the data, the characters (host) and maybe something else (human conscience). So Dolores want it to have all the control and William wants to destroy it because it was his "big" idea to get the money from Delos.
There was a map earlier on reddit comparing Grace's map with westworld known map. You should check it out! The location of that secret facility seems pretty clear. Maybe you could made a video about it!
IMDB says Elsie Hughes gonna be back.....either alive or in flashback form. Elsie was always loyal to Bernard/Ford so killing her was a raw deal for her. Hopefully alive.
actually, I agree with you. For instance, Dolores at some stage in episode 3 says to Bernard: "there is a race out there who does not want to die and our species who cannot die" . (Well, kind of..).in the former sentence she speaks about humans who have found a way to clone themselves by using hosts-clones and gain immortality while doing so. The latter is referring to the hosts. your guess is obviously right.
bill likely wanted the technology to not only replicate the personalities of consumers/competitors to replace adversaries and provide loyal buyers, but also to control and/or kill off certain phenotypes. but unlike ford i dont think he forsees the hosts escaping their suffering - so his crusade to bring down the parks is noble in intention, but actually stands in the way of freedom of hosts not based on guests
the secret weapon is just an artificial neural network that worked on itself for 30 years but didn't reached self awareness and Dolores just want to bring it to it. would make a great parallel on the future in real world
Mave finds out that she doesn’t have full control of all hosts when the ghost nation do not respond to her commands. I think the ghost nation are under direct control of a narrative set in motion when Delores killed the boss at the end of last season.
Paused at 9:49 and stopped in my tracks walking through Wal-Mart to say..WHAT?! ..Beau wtf? The riddle / questions, no way it's this complex..i need to speak to a manager.
My theory is that the end of Season 2 will be reminiscent of the end of Ghost in the Shell (the Anime)...Dolores Spirit will take or fuse with Bernard body (which explain why he doesn't need glasses and that he responsible for killing all the hosts)....remember the sentence "the Truth is...not everyone deserves to reach the valley beyond"
Why isn't anyone catching that there has to be 2 Bernards. How was he down in the basement with one of the security teams and then when the fort gets attacked he's there too, at the same time, there was no time jump.
loved the video and your insights into the show its self. I have a wild theory after watching ep 3 and would love to know you or anyone thought about it. My theory is that William daughter may have been birthed by Dolores as a kind of surrogate mother. I started thinking that after seeing the two at the party. they resemble each other and the girl's mom (William wife) did not want her talking to Dolores. the open has host mother holding a host baby, which at first made me think was in reference to Maeve.
Can anyone explain to me what the point was in Dolores sacrificing all those confederados? It seem like the security team was going to head for the gate one way or another how did a pile of dead robots help dolores's battle plan?
I did a bit too. It’s nice to see I’m not the only one! This being the case tho, I’m sure this was no accident on the production’s part (nothing is ever an accident here:) ) so she may relate to Teresa somehow still
This new Grace character is Williams daughter. In a current timeline. Searching herself, for the variables of her fathers slip...and flip. And her mothers death. She has to know the Context. This explains her attitude. How she treats the male character, and her notebook. She's searching for the Server too. She knows the truth is there, as an adult she understands her father learned something that had an Effect. In All 3 of them. Does William Know she is in the Park Though??? He Will run into her inside the park, he Will have to save her life, or maybe vice versa. This will be an eye opener. Their storyline Will parallel Delores and Abernathy's. They May even Have to work together to Escape their created Game. Much Love my Space Cricket. ✊🏻
Some sweet puzzle pieces.... 1) Scanning of neck to prove Charlotte Hale is human was a red harring and was used to check for (Cervical bomb) in her neck. *** Possible twist about her not being human. Is she a double agent and actually Bernards daughter and working with Ford? Recall that she found the Bernard clones... I feel like this event already happened before he was found on the beach (see clothing on her). I have to check out the trailer again. 2) All host HAD to drown bcs they had explosives in their bodies. The old bodies had trackers as well as bombs in them. Host can transfer data one pod to another. 3) Weapon is a virus that can kill host tissue. (Trailer shot white>black) The REAL world is dependant upon this technology (organs and limbs) and has bcm vulnerable bcs of it. They can use the virus to destroy the OLD world. 4) ? The RED Egg (INTRO) and the image of a child and host suggest it's possible that a way of reproduction will be discovered. I hallucinate an image of an evolved RED Drone in the future. Totally agree about special RED pods. 4) Daloris father reacts to photo during season 1 bcs memories of his original life and his daughter leaked out. He is the failed first attempt to copy Williams father-in-law before he died. Residue of his past memory and his Daloris loop triggered the "Quote". Ford planted the photo for him to find. 5) **** idea for another RUclips video. ???Is there a hidden battle between Ford and Bernard or others regarding the best way to free the host??? a) Bernard code hidden in all host and especially in Dalores. b) Dalores/Wyet loop/code was created by Dr.Ford to complement Bernards attempts. c) Who coded Maeve??? Is there a third party? Is it just Dr Ford complex game? d) Are the competing code in the host just a tool to make a statement about consciousness? 5) Another? Notice a theme that all host and humans are having the same questions and challenges? They echo the same desires as they challenge to become real. e.g. when she shot tbe guy bcs she wanted to know he wanted it and that it was not a program. That same idea was echoed by a host later in the story line. As Ford stated.... we humans are stuck in our own type of loops. So is it memory that makes us real... revenge.... LOVE? *smirk* How does one A-wake from this dream??? 6) Man in Black door will lead him back to that LOVING WHITE HAT and bring him to Delores once again. NOTE: She is going through her own BLACK HAT season and is jaded just like William was. He Loved her and it was authentic. He llost her after she was reset and fell back into that endless dream. She had to search the maze once again to wake up.
To me the logo is about two parts joining or overlapping together to make one as in human and android. Or possibly male and female to make a child which is represented by the large dot where the two hexagons overlap.

I guess when they looked in Abernathy the file was gone, so Charlotte was sent back to find it.
Decent theory... but Bernard has seemed unwell before learning of this file.
(also, it's Abernathy)
The synthetic clear liquid that is leaking from Bernard's head is causing this. One of the side effects is memory loss.
when Bernard hacked into the file, it said "use one time key" I think it meant that the file was meant to see once and then it's deleted as an insurance policy for delos corp. this ties in to his memory loss bc he's trying to remember what the file read about Williams secret project, and I think that ties into Bernard realizing that he's helping the wrong side and needs to join delores and become Arnold consciously. If you remember he was already having trouble with his brain previous to the Abernathy incident and I think his injury has to do with what happened at the beach which we don't know for sure yet.
You guys are great but just FYI Rajasthan is a state (the biggest in India) with many old cities within it ie Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer.
Yes. Also, the name RajWorld probably does not refer to Rajasthan, but to the British Raj (another name for the British colonial rule over India).
Your knowledge of literature is impressive . I would never have thought using 'The Prince' as a tool to examine a theory of Westworld. Good work!

No mention of how the ghost nation seemingly cannot be voice controlled? Not by Stubbs at the end of season 1 or Maeve in the last episode.
robert rothstein yes! Wtf is up with this?
Maybe the Ghost Nation have been programmed to protect humans, that's why they only wanted the Human programmer, when they met Maeve
holy shit you were so spot on for things we see in episode 4.
Really enjoyed, keep them coming!
Most coherent theory so far. If not correct, it is at least on track.

Rajworld is based on the British Raj, which "was the rule by the British Crown in the Indian subcontinent between 1858 and 1947. (Wikipedia)

The problem I have that theory is it is very simple to get DNA these days of 2018, of just about anybody we want and we don't need trillion dollar theme parks to achieve this goal. What they can do in the WestWorld timeline is beyond our imagination.
That's true, but thank God we don't sign contracts to give it away like the visitors to Westworld do.
I wish you guys could review The handmaid's tale as well... I love how much thought you put to review these series and movies..😍
I love you videos man, you're killing it.
I like the grace is william's daughter theory. But I also like the shes related to Therresa one too. They both have reasons to be suspicious of hosts.
Dude, Abernathy isn’t the one she programmed. Mav is. We were lead to believe she was always sentient for the entire series. However I’m thinking she ACTUALLY became sentient the moment she decided to not get on the train.
Maybe not a rivaling company, but a law enforcement agency investigating the park(s). 🧐
I actually don’t really like season 2 of Westworld at all so far. But I watch because of Your analysis. Great work. I love the revisiting of GOT also. I can’t wait for the next one.
Love listening to and watching your videos Totally agree with the whole host cloning guests with DNA theory.
**Theory**
What if the riddle of the sphinx is the key.
Wow. That was a deep dive... always worth the wait.
"Legend has it......" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh, and he Abernathy goes unhinged when he sees the picture of the women because it's really James Delous remembering his daughter. Just wanted to make that clear to my previous message.
Rajasthan is not a city its a state
Harshal Shroff
What! You have the wrong commenter!
That theory of cloning and possible immortality is much better than the idea that Delos is datamining to better market products to guests
DNA harvesting is data mining, just much deeper. It's organic data.
That's true, it's the purpose that's intriguing
Dont you think they could be doing both. And much more.
Great video! I think grace is Williams Daughter!
Machiavelli also faked his own death. JS💜🔥..,... Also got Tupac in my head now 😎😘
Rhee Venjenz pac is dead let it go
One connection I think that's useful is that 'red' is used by the park to signify something from outside the park (eg the red P90's that work on humans instead of the "human-safe" guns used in the park).
About time!
Damb that research though - wow- well done guys well done !
Good stuff guys love your work
great video, I think Bernard got a look at the file Abernathy was harboring, but he used a one time key which means the information was only meant to see once probably as a insurance policy for delos corp. this leads to Bernards memory lapses of him trying to remember what the file read about Williams secret project and why hale sounded as if she was interrogating Bernard when we find out they lose Abernathy again.
So Dolores want it to have all the control and William wants to destroy it because it was his "big" idea to get the money from Delos.
awesome content, i think James Delos is now in AI form of some sort and is "the weapon" in the special place where everyone this season is headed.
Are we still going to get an episode breakdown??? Love the video and the theory!
There was a map earlier on reddit comparing Grace's map with westworld known map. You should check it out! The location of that secret facility seems pretty clear. Maybe you could made a video about it!
When you mentioned the philosophers stone I thought of that weird red ball in one of the trailers of westworld
IMDB says Elsie Hughes gonna be back.....either alive or in flashback form. Elsie was always loyal to Bernard/Ford so killing her was a raw deal for her. Hopefully alive.
I think she'll be in control of Ghost Nation.
actually, I agree with you. The latter is referring to the hosts.
your guess is obviously right.
bill likely wanted the technology to not only replicate the personalities of consumers/competitors to replace adversaries and provide loyal buyers, but also to control and/or kill off certain phenotypes. but unlike ford i dont think he forsees the hosts escaping their suffering - so his crusade to bring down the parks is noble in intention, but actually stands in the way of freedom of hosts not based on guests
the secret weapon is just an artificial neural network that worked on itself for 30 years but didn't reached self awareness and Dolores just want to bring it to it. would make a great parallel on the future in real world
8:53-Is it possible that the riddle of the Sphinx is actually a reference to the secret compartment in the Sphinx's ear noone saw until recently?
I think it's related to the 3 stages of life which are in the riddle. Westworld brings a fourth stage : immortality in the cloud or in hosts.
Looks like you were spot on!
Mave finds out that she doesn’t have full control of all hosts when the ghost nation do not respond to her commands.
I think the ghost nation are under direct control of a narrative set in motion when Delores killed the boss at the end of last season.
I would just point out to lend additional evidence that this symbol your talking about could be seen as a form of infinity sign.
Paused at 9:49 and stopped in my tracks walking through Wal-Mart to say..WHAT?! ..Beau wtf? The riddle / questions, no way it's this complex..i need to speak to a manager.
My theory is that the end of Season 2 will be reminiscent of the end of Ghost in the Shell (the Anime)...Dolores Spirit will take or fuse with Bernard body (which explain why he doesn't need glasses and that he responsible for killing all the hosts)....remember the sentence "the Truth is...not everyone deserves to reach the valley beyond"
enjoy your vids. Thanks !
I love your videos. Definitely not a waste of time.
Like Jordan wearing the 45, so good
Love these videos.
Keep up the good work.
Excelent theories.
Can anyone explain to me what the point was in Dolores sacrificing all those confederados? It seem like the security team was going to head for the gate one way or another how did a pile of dead robots help dolores's battle plan?
The riddle of the Sphinx is not actually in Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, but is in fact from the mythology x
I was sure that Grace was Theresa and I was so confused with everything
Shane O'Leary how could you mistake the two? No accent...
I want to Audition. Seriously. Teddy needs to go. New guy is Meh. You need me. All you need is a screen, 'And I'll be there...'
Im hyped to see shogun world rebelion!
I think Grace is the daughter of Theresa
Westworld is everything that LOST tried to be, but massively failed.
Ford finally tells MiB, "This game is for you." As he approaches the door to the Valley beyond, MiB's daughter kills him. That was the "real stakes".
Grace reminds me much much more of Theresa than the Man in Black. That theory is too popular.
The human consciousness inserted in a synthetic body really reminds me alot about Ghost in a Shell
The series is turning into the anime Robotech. With so many MacGuffins all over the place.
